  1. Definitely not much unity. Harding kinda keeps to itself. I just know about Nashville, cause I got cousins at Lipscomb and Goodpasture. Then there's Ezell, they're all kinda fighting it out in rivalries with each other. I guess NCS fits in there somewhere. [Edited by CoachtFAN on 2-25-03 7:34A]
  2. yeah, ok, so I forgot there were fifty others. I remember 0 playing JCS in bball. Our old football coach went there. How could I forget Boyd. I watched them play in football championship on TV. I thought NCS was too, but I didn't really know about Col. Acad. Sorry bout that, I guess my brain was dead last night. Just thinking Memphis and Nashville.
  3. Now this is a SPORTS website. That's why cheerleading doesn't have a board. (I duck as a barrage of rude slurs are thrown at me for saying that). Don't get me wrong, I play the trumpet in my band, but this website is for sports. I'm sure people wouldn't mind if you started a band thread on one of the boards. People would love to talk about that, but it does not deserve a whole board. Why, posting on it would be worse off than on the tennis board. (I duck again.)
  4. I do know you. Your bro (Ross) used to go to Harding then transferred to Briarcrest. You played Basketball for a couple years at Harding, I think up until 11th grade. And the other C of C school in TN are Ezell, Lipscomb, and Goodpasture. I think we're the only four schools. [Edited by CoachtFAN on 2-24-03 11:12P]
  5. slap me (verbally) if i'm wrong lionboy, but Lausanne would have to beat harding to vie for second. If they lose to harding in the semis, the best they can get is third. So it can't be: 1. harding 2. lausanne right? [Edited by CoachtFAN on 2-24-03 11:19P]
  6. Excellent reporting Mom... a good mark for you.
  7. If anyone knows of any games being broadcast online, post them here. Thanks.
  8. If anyone knows of games that are online, then please post them here. Thanks.
  9. What? They pay you to inject medication. I though you pay them for the shots. Oh well, if you know of anything in Memphis, let me know... I'm not driving all the way back on low blood supply. And I'm sure that the gas would cost me three times as much as I would get for the donation. Then goodbye plus membership and food for three weeks.
  10. LOL, whose giving you money for donating plasma? I want in on this. I would donate a kidney to become a plus member... (or would I?)
  11. Is it sloppy because Ryan should be up by more? Wes, are you actually at the game, or listening/watching online. If you're online, give me a link or something so I can listen in. Thanks, bro.
  12. mnewballer -- look at the little blue bar at the top of each post. It shows the time of the post and then the little bracket which contains vote/reply. Click on vote, enter your username/password and click on give good mark (or bad) and click vote.
  13. I'd love to, but I got no income right now. The only positive cashflow I have is the 20 bucks my parents give me, and that goes right out to the lunch ladies at school. I'd have to starve myself for a week to buy a membership. Maybe I can get a job sometime soon.
  14. It depends on what threads you respond to and the types of people who are on those threads. Some are very stingy and never give good marks, and others are very kind and generous. I know someone who was the nicest person and had good quality threads... he never got a mark until about his 300th post. I hope that doesn't happen to me. I'd give you one, but I don't have any myself. You can garnish several for $12, though. They give you a several for joining coacht. Good luck in your quest, and remember: find the friendly good mark givers and pander, pander, pander. Otherwise, it could take you months. I'm begging anyone with a good heart to give this poor little soul (me) and this nice guy who started the thread a ticket into the system to reward other people.
  15. Great job Wes. I'd give you a good mark, but I have none to give.
  16. I went to the same school as Ego: 1. Yes, my science class was taught evolution: both micro and macro. Macro evolution was taught from a purely objective standpoint in both science and Christian Evidences (Bible class). In both situations, it was very brief (30 min.) and negative. Micro evolution was taught in science. Micro evolution, the slight adjustment of animals to survive in different environments, was considered to be true. 2. The scientific method was a valid and important part of the curriculum. Any other scientific processes and theories were always taught to the class with a Christian perpective added in. 3. Dinosaurs definitely existed, as the bones prove it. Trying to place God into a tiny box which we can completely describe is pure stupidity. We cannot really compare God or his methods to anything on earth. He doesn't work in 24 hour time slots... he simply works. God used the 7 day system to put creation into human perspective. God was saying he did his work in 7 stages. My view on God is that he wanted to be very intricate and involved in creation. He could have said "poof" and had everything created. But he really cared about what he was doing, and I think that could have taken him millions of years. So in short, God has no sense of time in eternity, and dinosaurs could have lived and been extinct before man was even created. 4. This one was pretty much answered by number 3. Most of my Bible teachers pretty much agreed that the earth wasn't created in 7 literal days. It depends on which Bible class you are in as to whether that comes up. But the two teachers I had both talked about a non-literal creation scheme. And science obviously shows from studying the sun that it has to be millions of years old. Typically, teachers label Abraham around 2050 B.C., and I've heard of some civilizations being estimated around 4000-5000 B.C., so I definitely have to go with the millions of years scenario.
  17. My predictions: BCS___________ ______________---BB--- BB____________ ______________________---MHA--- Lausanne______ ______________---MHA-- MHA___________ So that means: 1. MHA 2. BB 3. Lausanne [Edited by CoachtFAN on 2-24-03 5:00P]
  18. Yes... Harding didn't lose that game lasy year. Birds don't fly. And the world is flat... I think you meant to say that Harding SHOULDN'T have lost that game last year, and I agree with you on that. Harding SHOULD have won the region and been a contender at state. But they lost, clear as molasses. Harding had talent last year, but they played bad in the ECS game... they lost. I know Coach Froedden considers it a loss. He doesn't blame the refs or anybody but himself and the team. He would hate to hear people laying blame a YEAR after the fact. Once again, Harding has talent this year, enough to actually win state. Focus on the future and cheer your team on. Don't worry about the unchangeable. [Edited by CoachtFAN on 3-1-03 8:37P] [Edited by CoachtFAN on 3-2-03 12:07A] [Edited by CoachtFAN on 3-2-03 8:08P]
