Ok, what seed does the regular season winner go into the regions as?

Some explaination please, It's always been my understanding that the top four teams from the district tournament advance to the region. I was informed by two people yesterday that the regular season winner gets a automatic bid to the region. That could possible knock out the fourth place team from the tournament. Example: if Cookeville was to stub a toe and lose to Oakland and then Oakland finishes fourth in the tournament they would still not advance to the region. OK, I will attempt to make this as simple as possible: 1. Go back and try hard to figure out who I was responding to. Hint....their name is in the top line of quote. So what's she supposed to do, look at the talent she has the beginning of the year and decide whether to have a team or not? These players, for the most part have no choice in who or where they play. They obviously just want to play. Most parents don't make decisions on where they send their kids to high school based on athletics. She may be the worst coach ever and she may not have much to work with, but you are out of line to criticize the players. Talent or not, these girls are trying to play a game and they don't deserve the crap that has been spewed here lately. It's ironic that we don't hear these same grumblings from the Oakland fans. They are down right now from years past, but there is no criticism of the coach or girls. Coach Grandstaff has a stellar background as a coach and she takes what she is given and trys to teach the players about basketball and help them grow into young women. I don't hear Oakland fans criticizing the players or the coach. You seem to be a very enthusiastic fan, what's your reason for not paying the $12 dollars?

Most coaches teach to step across the sideline or baseline to cut the player off. With one foot out of bounds would a offensive charge be turned into a defensive block or a no call?

It's true that Jarell did not play, but Hanna Dawson plays the post as good as anyone her size and better than most bigger players. She had 19.

Faith was eventually added, but the list is still heavily weighted toward the Flight players as is/was the Street and Smith rankings. The Flight/SSS program has always attracted a large number of top players, but there are players outside this program that will go on earn a college education playing basketball. Something else to remember, playing any sport at a high profile program does not always guarantee a good education that most scholar/athletes will rely on for their future.

The current Scout site is what's left after Glenn(Hoopgurlz) moved to his own site. The list is at least a year old and has not been maintained. When Hoopgurlz posted the list for '09 back in August, ten of the eleven players were associated with the Flight program. Kamiko Williams was the only non-Flight player. Two flight players that were not listed were Faith and Kayla which didn't give much credibilty to the list IMO. I pointed this out to Glenn privately and the appearance that the Flight has some influence with him and was banned from his site. The class of '09 is certainly loaded at all positions, there will be more DI players out of this class than the past several years.

Say what you want about the player or her parents, but the reaction of Larry White sheds alot of light on his true colors. He is much more concerned about what a specific player can do for him or his program than what he can do for the player.
