The size of the medal can have a significance. In Georgia the State Championship medals were about the size of a Dime. Don't don't if there was a reason for this but it did make the State Medal stick out from all the others on your Letter Jacket.

Don't think you know about every team and wrestler. Yes sum kids did have access or got access to the showers at both facilities.

Actually kids used the showers at both sites. Most wanted to shower before a meal and 3 hour drive back home.

If they have a rating system in GA they are hoseing more kids than the refs in TN for sure. Lots of problems down there with young unexperienced refs. And also old farts who do not need to be on the mat.

If the TSSAA really wants to be leaders in Improving Wrestling they should make the girls style FREESTYLE. It would keep them from wrestling boys during the season since they do not want them to compete against boys. It would allow the girls to get better at the style they have the opportunity to wrestle in at College and beyond. I have said before boys can wrestle the same style in HS and College, so the TSSAA needs to be leaders and offer girls the same opportunities. Maybe this could even be looked at as discrimination if they have the chance to allow it but choose not to. It could really get TN girls competing on a higher level of wrestling and help them be better prepared for College and National Level Competition.

It very well could happen if the price of beef goes up or mad cow disease makes them have a sale and they need the arena.

The sad part is the hygiene issues. Wrestle all day and not have a facility to shower at on site before traveling back home. It could be 15 hours for some to wait until they can get clean. We do talk about skin issues and concerns of doing things that are right for the sport.

Get him into as much freestyle and Greco as possible. It will teach him to use his hips.

If the TSSAA really wants to be the lead of things and show progress it should be freestyle. Just for the simple fact guys wrestle folk-style in HS and then can go on and wrestle Collegiate then onto the Olympic styles freestyle and Greco. Womens wrestling is taking off in Freestyle in the college ranks. Why not go ahead and make their HS season freestyle so they can get better prepared for College and World Levels. They could practice year round at their skill and try to earn those College Scholarships. Not to mention it would take the aspect of wrestling boys during the season which now makes them not eligible for their season as it stands. Yes it would require coaches to learn freestyle rules and keep up with them, but it would better repair their female wrestlers.

Will this help the Freshman and Soph more state tournament to start back up for the weekend after the Trad State. It was a great event to keep kids wrestling and see how they stacked up against other wrestlers in their same grade. Hopefully it can be brought back.

Well I know Bruno went undefeated on his Cadet Duals trip and made the ALL-Tournament Team. Chris was on the same team but I cant remember how his record was.

I believe Halls has their Girls tourney tied onto their JV one. Not sure of the date that info could be obtained from the Animal.

Looking for matches. This is 3rd year of the school--Coahulla Creek in Dalton, Ga. Interested in hosting matches on 12-17, we have North Murray but also looking to make it a Tri or Quad. Wondering what wrestling opportunities are available on 12-7, 12-14, 1-25, 1-29? Like to find other teams to come to our place or possibly travel for 1-10/11, . It will be good when the TSSAA has no restrictions on coaches for coaching. They try to manage to many things. Need to worry more about what they are not doing for Tennessee Student Athelets as to what coaches are allowed to do at all boardering states.

Wow I just seen the interview with Elijah after he won the title and OH MY. He also has to get the reward for the largest ear. Must have been painful with his ear swollen up like it was like gigantic tumor totally remarkable.

Congrats to not only AA but NATIONAL CHAMPION job well done. Maybe G can tell, does this make TN first Champ in Jr Division?

Yeah G, hard to believe not one entry into the Greco for Jr from TN or even a girl into the Womens Cadet or Junior levels.
