Bigwilly, she has a lot of time to post in class while the kids are taking tests or doing in class assignements or during her planning period!

Well, this stat does not really help your arguement too much. i mean a difference of one steal is not that much. like i said before i am a UK fan (not a front-runner, i was born in Louisville) and i think Rondo is one of the best defensive players in the SEC and will eventually (that is if he stays) be the best defensive player in the nation after playing for Tubby for a few more years but to act like he is hands down better and then show a stat that is basically similar only helps everyone elses arguement against you. again i don't think he is the best in the SEC, just one of the best (probably the best) on Florida's team.

Well while you are here sitting behind that computer screen and just melting at the thought of "beating corey brewer", just remember he is starting for the University of Florida basketball team! sure wasn't chokin when HE was playing on national television against a top ten college basketball team!!

Slow down slick, look at my post again. i said he was one of the best, if not the best, defensive player ON one of the top teams in the SEC. I in no way think he is one of the top defensive players in the SEC b/c i like you, as it seems, are a UK fan. although i would argue that corey is as good as joe crawford or ramel bradley for UK.

He's playing great and no one on here has a right to pick his game apart and try to down play the kid's game! He's a baller and he is proving it!!

im sorry i must have slipped into the wrong thread i thought this was about school's gyms not who they play! Anyway, i think both soddy and ooltewah's gyms look great. they seem to be structure similarly, to me at least.

I understand that but my point was he is playing great. ur right he won't be at the top with 3FG % (if he is it will be b/c he takes less 3's and will be selective with them). regardless of how long they last i doubt they will drop so low that his position on the team will be insignificant. he is making a great contribution to good basketball team!

i don't think michael eldridge has even played yet this year but you definitely have left off one of the top sophomore point guards in east tennessee, Russell McNeill for Soddy Daisy.

Corey Brewer's Season Stats: Ave Min/Game = 21.3 FGM - FGA = 19-38 = 50% 3FGM - 3FGA = 4-9 = 44.4% FTM - FTA = 11-18 = 61.1% Reb/Game = 3.1 Ast/Game = 1.4 Stl/Game = 2.3 Pts/Game = 7.6 I don't care if you just personally don't like the kid, you can not knock him for his play. For being a true freshmen and not only playing but starting at a huge university like Florida, he is playing awesome! He has obviously stepped his defensive game up and contributing right away. Those percentages for 3's and total FG's are great! Not only is he leading the team in steals but he is also leading in 3-pt percentage! The stats don't lie!!

You know delron, your anger about what happened to your girlfriend last year is overflowing. You really need to talk to a professional about that. Look, this is 9 games into a year with a new coach, who you don't like because he took your girls job, and a team that has at least 3/4 new players, some who have only played 9 high school games in their lives, but will certainly be better next year, and a team that is run by a soph. point gaurd. I would guess that if SD hadn't won any games up til now, none of you owl fans would give them the time of day. I guess success breds contempt. They may not beat any of the teams you mentioned earlier, so. They will beat enough, in Shumate's first year, to keep you guys talking about them.

ballin4life, i wasn't trying to crack on rende or anything. he's not that slow but that little point guard was lightning quick. i mean russell is pretty quick i think he could have stayed with him pretty good.

yea i expected both teams to have a lot of fan support but the most noise came from the parents! that is sad cuz they sit on their hands for most of the game until their kid does something or gets a "bad call" against them. definitely disappointing when you can't go enjoy a game between the daisy crazies and the old school ballers!! I agree with deepball, this game was closer than the score indicated and ooltewah in no way dominated the first half. the turning point was the stalling used at the end of the 3rd quarter which forced soddy to come out of their zone and match up man to man. I was stunned by the fact that rende was guarding the point guard! that kid was way too quick for rende.

You had to bring it up one last time didn't you? Thorough, i understand they were in the double bonus and that is why he got the free throws but my point was it was a senseless call to make. it had no effect on the play whatsoever. ooltewah did do a great job of hitting their free throws and they got to the line quite a bit. i still think the Feb 4th matchup will be a better game all together between these 2.

First of all, there are 4 "church ballers" on the soddy daisy roster and 3 of them get considerable playing time. One of them, Eric Atchley, is one of the reasons they stayed in the game during the 3rd quarter. Rickett's didn't have that great of a game, it just seemed like his shots weren't falling and he got some good looks but hey it happens, that's basketball! also, i don't think this proves anything about "church ballers" not being as good as "real ballers"! give me a break. Soddy's team got beat by ooltewah's team!! by the way, these guys are now playing high school ball so we can quit callin them "church ballers". Second of all, the refs were absolutely horrible!! both ways! i think the worst call was the foul at the end of the half. i mean give me a break. it was senseless to call that, it wasn't even on a shot, it was on a rebound! i understand that made no real difference in the game but it just showed how horrible these guys were. Third of all, Russel McNeill does not have an attitude problem. he was pumped about this game and let his emotions get the better of him. give the kid a break! Fourth of all, I wasn't too impressed with white. i was more impressed with #42, Porter maybe?? he was a beast downlow and could not be denied. Fifth of all, what was up with the overrated chant? not many people other than soddy fans really think soddy is good so how can you chant overrated? save that for a brainerd, cleveland, bradley, etc. the teams that are considered to be some of the best in the area. My assessment of the game: Great high school basketball game until the fourth quarter! The game was tight basically the whole way and when ooltewah come out smoking in the 3rd quarter soddy stayed right with them, trading baskets. i think the stalling method (as much as i hated it) used at the end of the 3rd quarter was a crucial scheme that ooltewah used to regain advantage. they were up by 10 at one point in the 3rd quarter but soddy cut it to 5 and ooltewah stalled for 2 1/2 minutes until the very end of the 3rd quarter. the 4th quarter was all ooltewah and soddy looked pretty ugly. i was proud of the way they played until that 4th quarter. this could have been a great, close game but in that 4th quarter soddy could not get back on defense or execute on offense. i think the next game will be a lot closer and will be a better game as a whole b/c soddy has 2 more monthes to get a lil more mature and come together as a team. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year.

Ha, funny you mention head cases (Wood). I also know starters parents from last year. No problem with playing time. Enough of old news.........
