So sorry to disappoint you guys... and yes, crow tastes fabulous... I was wrong... Franklin played great... I'm really hoping they'll make it to Murfreesboro... but I think they'll STILL have a tremendous challenge from Lincoln County or Dobyns-Bennett if they get there... don't go claiming I'm a Brentwood homer and want to see Franklin lose just because I said they wouldn't win... you guys need to get over yourselves... I think the Rebels can do it, but it's not going to be easy... if they play like they played Friday night, though... the chances are good...

Kicking a field goal to tie after the clock has run out? One, it's bad officiating and two, it's not legit... even if BA does win Friday, they get hammered by MBA next week...

BA gets a garbage win over MBA and all of a sudden they're good enough to go to Christian Brothers and win? I think not... unless CBHS doesn't show up or can't get any kind of offense, BA has a tough time in this game... it will take the Eagles best game of the year to win against a very good Purple Wave defense... BA couldn't stop Corey Mills last time, and I doubt it will be much different in this game... If BA DOES win, it will be close... we're talking a field goal or less... but I think Christian Brothers wins by at least a touchdown...

How does everyone feel about the Mr. Football finalists across the state? I think every classification is a good representation of the talent in Tennessee. In my area, five Williamson County athletes were nominated, which speaks volumes for the brand of football we play around here: Class 1A Lineman Will Hooper, CPA Class 5A Lineman Ian Van Horne, Brentwood Division II-A/AA Lineman Matt Mullin, BGA Division II A/AA Back Ryan Karl, BGA Division II-AAA Back Theo Townsend, Brentwood Academy Congrats to all the finalists!

The whole Brock thing was shady... happened without the coach's knowing... Page will be okay... will likely finish second or third in the district... Giles County is still the team to beat... Tyler Smith is a bad man...

Everyone seems to want to talk about David Wolke, but I really think he will be overshadowed in this game by a MUCH better quarterback... Edmiston is the total package... Lincoln County is on a collision course with Riverdale in the quarterfinals, and the Falcons will handle that roadblock with ease, just like Smyrna this week...

Catholic is playing very well right now... Briarcrest has been here before, but the Saints just can't match up with the Irish... I think Catholic gets it done here and again next week at Vandy...

I think it's titled "Franklin at Brentwood"... And I'll say it again... Franklin gets beat by at least 10 points... if I'm wrong, I'll say I'm wrong... but I just don't think the Rebels can pull off a last-second miracle this time...

Like PageMan said... this game will be decided with defense... having a great offense is no good when you can't stop someone on defense... Page has had a nice run against some weak teams, scoring a lot of points (honestly, 72 against Montgomery Central? A little much...) but did they get better? Who knows... Crockett isn't undefeated for nothing... I think the Cavs handle this one easily...

And another thing... I'm NOT affiliated with Brentwood... I just think Brentwood's going to win... period.
