  1. He's fine. He'll be playing tomorrow.
  2. Blackandtan, I've done nothing to promote anyone. I've given credit where credit is due. I've said 3 times that Red Bank came out and hit the ball yesterday. I've said more than 3 times that Ooltewah is the most talented team BUT NOT the best team. Don't be a coward hiding behind a screen name if you want to personally attack me. You know who I am, so grow up and confront me in person. Ooltewah pitched their one and two guys in wins over Farragut and Bearden on Saturday.
  3. I don't think anyone underestimates Central. At least the coaches I've talked to.
  4. You're correct broadbat. The Owls are completely overrated. The guys who have already signed are ready to move on. The guys who haven't just don't really care. Also, I think their coach has called it a year already. They've lost 4 games now...2 to top-10 ranked teams in the state. I can't believe any of this actually. I honestly thought they would go about 50-0 and not lose a game or even have a bad night. Wow! Central will probably win the district now!
  5. Haha, I'd take my Chattanooga bias ALL DAY LONG over the current system! Surely you would too!
  6. Was tonight not a big win? Did you not want to get the job done?
  7. They lost last night to Soddy Daisy 10-3...they lost to Ooltewah 10-4...no, they will not win district. They got all kinds of credit for beating Ooltewah and Baylor. But credit does not translate into district championships. When they start winning like that day in and day out...then they can win a district championship.
  8. Most K's doesn't mean as much as K's/IP....give us K/IP!
  9. I saw this question posed earlier, but I'll ask again. How hard would it be to start a new high school sports governing body? Anybody on board with me?
  10. Christian Brothers and South Doyle are both good selections!
  11. I am biased...but that's ok isn't it??? I didn't say any other teams were bad. Just that Ooltewah had a lot of talent! Just being a biased fan like I'm supposed to be!
  12. you've gotten plenty of credit. We've all said you beat two great teams! Beat the good teams over and over and then we'll talk more. As for respect, you earned the respect already. People won't be looking past you anymore.
  13. I just mean what I say and I say what I mean!
  14. You've got to add Zack Woods in on that!
  15. They are the most talented team in the state....maybe not the best team though...in my opinion.
  16. Just saw it on ESPN...ouch! Oh well, he'll be fine. It happens.
  17. Thanks for the help guys. Some people, especially Central people, never will learn. And I know UltimateFan said it, but I've played in more baseball games than you ever will kid. I'll call you UltimateFan. Go Puds!
  18. You're right....Between MTSU, Vandy, and Lee signee, they got 6 hits...Burke had HR and triple with 4 RBI. McDade and Hydas had two hits each. Where people sign means nothing....Look at all the big league strikeouts everynight. Besides, if I can go 2-for-3 with a HR, 3B, and a K, then I think I've had a pretty darn good night. Good luck with the rest of the district!
  19. Strong pitching? The Owls will rebound and be just fine. Nobody likes to lose in baseball, but it happens. Congrats to the Pounders on a great game. Although 5-3 is not a blow out. Central hit well against Ooltewah sophomore pitcher. Ooltewah left their bats in the car. Can't wait till tonight!!!
  20. What was the Oakland/Collierville score?
  21. David, I think you guys had an AWESOME tournament! Definitely the best high school tournament I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot! The team I support might not have won every game, but we got to see a lot of GOOD competition. There were 4 teams at Riverdale this morning that have an excellent shot at making state - and winning it! I've never been at a gathering where there was so much talent - besides East Coast and Perfect Game. Just wanted to say THANKS to you, and to Coach Powers, and to all those involved! Despite the rain, you put on a fantastic tournament! Also would like to thank everyone for the prayers of Tim Markum. He was discharged from the hospital and is going to be ok. He'll have to miss a few games, but these kinds of things remind us that there is more to life than baseball. Baseball is a priviledge that not everyone gets the chance to play. Enjoy it and NEVER take anything for granted! See you next year David! David, don't let a few disgruntled fans spoil all your fun. Everyone appreciates all the work you do! Thanks!
