  1. Rhea County plays a great game with no defense evident by lack of fouls called on Rhea. OHS had players fouling out but Rhea only had 5 team fouls in second half. Odd when official calls time out to talk to Rhea County Coach, and officials were talking to Rhea County father during action of game. Very odd.
  2. When year in and year out Shelbyville brings in "recruits" from other cities, and when year in and year out Rick Insell runs up the score on opponents, it is hard to be "classy" and congratulate such an obvious violation of rules. TSSAA turns it heads because Shelbyville brings the State of TN recogniton natonally. Someday, and it may be when Insell is gone, someone is going to keep their starters in the game to the end, run up the score, embarass Shelbyville, and then the Eaglette fans will whine whine whine about how other teams treat them. Shelbyville fans, honestly, go look in the mirror and say three times with a straight face "We do not recurit to Shelbyville!" If you do not smile, go to church Sunday. By the way, how is recruiting for next year?
  3. According to an Oakland student, when Rob Wassell of Blackman went down he was faking it and was not really hurt. Course Wassell sat out rest of game with ice on his shoulder so he is a great actor. Not sure how one gets fallen on and is not a foul, yet one can brush another player and get a call. Anyway, using the classy OHS student's logic, Rho Murray was not hurt but was also faking his ankle sprain.
  4. Depends on if same officiating crew from Blackman game - the one with the official who approached the scorere table twice in the game and changed his call, once the P. A. gives OHS players # and # fouls, only to have the official change and never explain to the BHS coach. Either suspicious or unqualified official - you make the call. If Brady Neal gets caled for his pushing off, Shelbyville by a bunch.
  5. Is it alright to cuss kids playing Junior Pro and T-Ball? If alright to cuss jr high and high, who are underage, then why not kids? A coach, teacher, boss, parent, etc., can get the message across without profanity. On the spiritual side, if a non-beliiver uses God's name in vain, are they acknowledging there is a God?
  6. If Blackman had depth they would be giving more teams like Brentwood fits. Many of the players were cramping. especially defense, just on the field too long. Small squad in numbers hurts. It appeared Brentwood had twice as many players on the sidelines than Blackman. If Brentwood QB could get better on his passes they will be a threat. BHS Blaze band not as exciting as has been in pass. Kids are there to have a good time, not practice for Contest of Champions. But I have feeling that is changing. Understand Band Dirctor at siegel has one goal - not entertain fans, but to win a contest. Proud of Blaze.
  7. For those who are interested in God's Role In America, check out www. AmericanDestiny.com. Christianity was not established as the national religion for the same reason English was not made out national language - thr forefoathers never invisioned anyone questioing it. If some other religion besides Christianity had founded America, would you - no matter your religious belief or lack thereof - be allowed to worship nor not worship as you see fit?
