He was an assistant at Whitehaven before he took this job! He got a couple kids transfer from there that had got in trouble and has made them into good students & players! Kids in Memphis play musical chairs with schools! T$$AA only gets involved when crap hits the fan like it did with Trezevant! Therefore, you may play a team this year & next year some of those kids may be playing for someone else! It’s even worse in basketball! Also, yeah he is probably cutting his head coaching teeth there til something big time opens up!

Would love to be able to go see some of these playoff games but work has pretty much killed my football season this year as far as going to the games! Thank goodness for Hudl. Maybe I can catch some online like I did ours this year! Good luck to all! Pray all the games are good without any injuries to anyone!

If Wilkins is the only one they focus on, it will be a long night! Dunlap, a transfer from Whitehaven in 16 & Hightower will eat all night!

LeDarius Dunlap is the guy your talking about! He will burn you if you give him half a second! He transferred from Whitehaven 2 yrs ago! Kendrick Hightower is another one that can light it up too!!

No! You have to sit the entire next game in high school! Sure would have been nice to have had him out there but he will be back next year!!

Defense has played well all year! Offense is just not there yet! They have put the defense in bad spots all year!

Didn’t get to make it tonight! These 12 hr shifts are killing me!

I think it will be a good one for a half maybe, that is if we don’t give up 40 in the 1st half! The guys will play hard & not quit! Just too young this year & not enough experience or depth yet! It will come though! Not many seniors on this team but they have been excellent representatives of what Coach Gray wants this program to be! This staff is a builder of young men that can learn from adversity & success! The scoreboard doesn’t always reflect the success of a football program but the love & support this community shows for this team sure does!! Prayers for an injury free game & safe travels to all that come to enjoy it!! With that said: Go Cardinals!! Let’s play some ball one more time this year boys!!

I’m working midnights this week & just getting home & ready to sleep! Not much to talk about from here! Just hoping the weather doesn’t get nasty Friday night! I think we know how this story ends! Just hope these young guys can hang in there for awhile and no injuries! If I’m able to make it to the game would enjoy meeting you guys! Lot of ifs and buts in every season!! In 10 years I doubt I will remember much about that season! Heck I have to go to the schedules to see what we did some years! lol

Man you were down 24-6 @ halftime to us in 2014! If #17 doesn’t drop the pick at the goal line, it’s 31-6! We imploded in that 4th qtr! Should have kept the pedal to the medal instead of trying to eat clock!
