  1. i think lipscomb will be victorious in a close game
  2. I'll second that. I saw JC play Brentwood Academy tonight and it was a sloppy low scoring game. The final score was something like 34-30 JC. Of course from what i hear a JC player went down so i assumed that girl being out hurt JC scoring. There were glimmers of hope though. 32 knocked down 2 clutch 3's, and 40 had good inside play. I can't wait to hear about how the match up of JC and LA goes. Good luck to both teams.
  3. Lipscomb was 1-9 in the first quarter had 19 turnovers to 4 steals in the game. They also shot around 38 % 14-36 FG and 1-5 on 3 PTs. Foster didn't start again and she was the starting gaurd before she hurt her back playing volleyball. She has played in 4 games since she has come back and didn't play a whole lot in those. Attebery has a very pretty high arching shot though. She shoots with her finger tips and its almost like a clinic on the court. My only complaint with her though is that when she does her cut move she ends up walking. Its a pretty move and she gets open but after she lands, she takes two steps, or when she lands, her feet don't hit at the same time and then she takes another step. Other than that, absolutely solid from the line and anywhere on the court is a good shot for her just about. I don't mean to take away from the team b/c they played very good defense the whole game, but Attebery stood out to me.
  4. 1160 AM and 98.7 FM 42-0 Lipscomb 2:45 till half
  5. Does anyone have the Tennessean article about David Abbas to show this kid and shut him up about Lipscomb recruiting? If not i'll just have to summarize it the best i can from memory. Anyone feel free to edit any mistakes i have. Basically this kid worked 3 jobs in the summer to pay to go to Lipscomb and to pay for a surgery his father needed. If Lipscomb recruited why wouldn't they just pay for him to go to school there? Personally i think it is a bad reflection on the public schools that he wanted so desperatly to go to a private school that he had to work three jobs. I also think it is sad that being a Christian school, Lipscomb wasn't allowed to help this kid out and give him a little extra support. You can read the article if you go to http://dlcs.lipscomb.edu/ and then click on a yellow box in the top right hand corner of the screen that says announcements above it.
  6. I think that it will be a good game...............That is, if Alcoa has any defensive backs that can play with the best wide receiver in the state, and possibly the nation. #21-Austin Rogers runs a 4.4, has better hands than Randy Moss, and can out jump just about anyone. If Alcoa can find a way to somehow stop him, then they might have a chance. If not, then this will be just another blow out, and the mustangs will return to the state championship.
  7. Does anyone know how many K's Megan ended with this year? How many in the state tournament alone?
  8. Meigs likes to move runners with the bunt. They can hit though so don't be decieved. They didn't do a whole lot of running but occasionally which looked like a hit and run (it might have been a steal and the kid just hit the ball). Third baseman likes to play up in the grass and take the bunt away. They will play for the run...bunting sqeaze etc etc. Thats about all i got. They did make 3 or 4 errors so put the ball in play. Goo luck to both teams in state.
  9. Bobcats56....good job today i heard yall pulled it out congradulations. i wish we could have held up our end of the bargain and seen yall again in state. goood luck anyways.
  10. I heard he ran around a 12 on his 100 meter. How old is he and is this true?
  11. Greenbriar can rip the ball. They are a good hitting team throughout the line up.

    Region 4AA.

Haha i see your a God fearing man with all that superstition khopkins. But hey i understand baseball and softball are different, there are some things u just don't do....leaving a game early is one of them. Congrats to both teams for a good season. good luck in sectionals/substate... whatever they call it now.
  13. Lipscomb Hosts the tournament and they play Station Camp Friday for the play in. I don't know where the other play in games are though. The district tournament will be played on the college and high school field on the Lipscomb campus.

    Field Tarp

Same here we have one at lipscomb and its not really a problem. its not one the most fun thing to do but it takes maybe 15 minutes to put it up and less than that cover the field.
  15. No coach in Distict possibly even Region can out coach Roller..Especially Portland's coach. The only reason Portland is this far is they have more talent than they know what to do with. The fact that they finished 5th (i think) in the district with 3 guys over 6'6'' tells you something. He has very little control over his team and lets Brewer do just about anything he wants, including throw up air ball-3's about 3 times a game. They might win but they will certaintly not out coach Roller. [Edited by Teddie on 3-6-03 12:30P]
