GWH, I find what you say pretty laughable as well. Seriously 8 points. Every team could say every call that went against them when on offense took points off the board. I understand your upset. Your daughter made a mistake and called time out. Move on and quit blaming. If a whistle I'd blown whatever and you score after that it wasn't taken away from you. You never had it!

I knew that I could get on here and find that a MC fan would be blaming their loss on the refs. It was clear the whistle had blown and he was waving the ball dead before the girl even caught the ball at the 3 point line. If the 3 hadn't of went in and the ref hadn't have give her the time out MC fans would be complaining about that. Always have to find fault. The game was called like all high school games. Not perfect. It sure wasn't called one sided. Saw some crazy calls on both sides but that's part of the game. The girl made a mistake and called a time out. It happens.

He was in a car wreck at the beginning of the season and he has been shooting the ball well, I have a feeling that the Hornets will all come out ready to play and will have a good shooting night. It was pretty evenly matched. Huntland shot the ball well from outside the first half. Came out cold in the third quarter or they probably would have pulled it out. It was tied with about 1 minute to go. Cornersville went up by three and then scored agian right at the buzzer to make it a 5 point game. Huntland girls are better than what people think. The 8th grade point guard has made a tremendous difference.

I saw where the Huntland girls are 5-0. I don't think they have played anyone that great, but could they possibly be able to hang with the Moore County girls.

Huntlland is a single A school that both teams are very young this year and have not had that good of seasons. I would hope that a school tripled the size would be able to win by a land slide.

What bball44 is trying to say is that Huntland has 4 girls returning who started at some point in time last season. But actually if you want to state it that way Huntland has six girls who started at some point in time last year who are returning. There was always a different starting line up. Miranda and Jacilyn were the only two besides the Hiliary and Jamie who started every game. Keasha, Monica, Jessica, and Hiliary Rutledge were also starters throughout the season. It was kinda played by who had been stepping it up or what kind of player they really needed that game. Hiliary Rutledge was the one that went down early with the torn ACL who was playing great for the lady hornets. Monica Reed also spent some time on the injured list. So by this they do have players with lots of experience and some new ones that have arrived that should help out off the bench. Just stating some facts but I have not seen how they are playing yet. Just have to wait until the season starts. I also heard the coach is doing a great job.

Word is that Huntland Coach Rust Ray resigned today!!! Heard he even left teaching at Huntland. Got a job at South Junior High. Anyone know????

Huntland's seniors are Jamie Smith and Hiliary Bauer. They have 6 returning starters along with a few others who seen some quality playing time last year.

Congratulations ladies. You deserve this very much. All you girls have worked very hard and it finally payed off. Now is time to focus on the next step. You wish Unionvegas. Your just sad becuase the tournament will have to continue at Unionville's gym without your beloved Viqueens. I do not believe that Huntland minds the trip that much. It just gets them pumped up on the long drive and gives them a lot more satisfaction to beat someone on their own court. Go lady Hornets!!!!

They were playing good, don't know what happened to them. They lost there last three district ballgames. One of them by 26 points.
