WB is playing in the Blount Fall league. They have 14 teams, kind of cool, get to play a lot of teams that they never play in the regular season. I will ask the powers that be about the scrimmage.......

I guess it's ok now, ( who knows ) her name is Abby Mitchell (sp?) . Came from Midway I think, former WB player and played in college, don't know where. You folks playing Fall ball anywhere..? By the way , the coach on the other board, what's up with that ? I'm pretty sure I know him, so just take it with a grain of salt. See I'm not testy, I'm my same lovable ole' self. Geeeez,Ladyadmiral it's hard to name names if you don't know them. I didn't know the lady's name from Farragut and (at the time) the name of the WB coach was a national security issue.......

William Blount in Blount county had two students and Gibbs in Knox county had one.

Gee Suzie, you know everyone... Use to fish some Bass Tournaments with the Skipper, never a dull moment he was a hoot. Maybe we did date a time or two, glad I didn't make the thug list. Got a good feeling about the Govs, with their speed they just might pull it off. I know you are well versed on the Lakemont Drive In, did you ever go to the Druid Hill and goof on B L Irvin when he was running the projector? Grew up in Lakemont, worked at the Lakemont Drive in for years. I recall all the younger folks were not always there for the movies. Seems like I remember an International parked in the back rows on those warm summer nights. Anyway, go Govs from an old Everett Bulldog........

For the last five or six years William Blount has played in a Fall league in Knoxville. It has been great for the younger players, the Varsity players get to play when they can because several of them play Volleyball, Golf and have Basketball conditioning. Due to field problems the league in Knoxville didn't happen, but Blount county decided to have a league. There are 15 teams in the league, with a lot of schools that our area teams never get to play in the regular season. I think this is great, it can only make everyone involved better players and stronger programs.... thumb

Talked with a Karns Dad on our travel team, he said Karns was still interviewing as of yesterday. Last I heard Blevins changed his mind and is staying. That's all the rumors I know........... I think the young gentleman that helps Blevins at Bearden applied for the Karns job. Nice guy seems well qualified, can't think of his name......

It's official WB has a coach and will play in the Blount County High School Fall League.......

USSSA will have an 18 major division this season pitching distance will be 43'. All college players will have to play in this major division. More info on spysoftball.com

The only players I knew on the Chatt Eagles, was the the pitcher and her sister Hollaway, they play for GPS. We have played them since 12U, when they played on Rampage..... I know just about all of the Lady Eagles, most of them are from Blount ,Knox and Jefferson County.

Which Eagles? Lady Eagles or the Chatt. Eagles......

Thunder did finish third, not sure what place the Lady Eagles finished. The 16U Chatt Eagles team is a pretty good team also. We played them a couple of weeks ago, they moved up and played 18U, and lost 1-0.

Where is the Govman ? He should know...

That's what I thought, we played the other Chatt Eagles , 16's I guess ,in Dalton this weekend. Katie ? who use to pitch for Rampage 12-14 pitched for the Eagles, think she pitches for GPS also.
