LOL, Brandon had no idea of the can of worms he opened... The Maryville fans are relentless when it comes to supporting their team and GQ. Let this go Brandon, take it from a WB fan you have no hope of winning this one. If you would have had the opportunity to see Friday's game I think you would agree the word cupcake does not apply to WB. It never has in regards to Maryville(yes, I know you never stated that Maryville was a cupcake)it's high school football,it's suppose to be fun just sit back and enjoy it. I do understand your point about playing the best to be the best. I coached fastpitch softball for years and we went to the exposure and better ASA tournaments so the girls would have a chance at playing in college. We had six go on to play the next level. My daughter chose academics over sports, so she is playing at a DIII school in Virginia having fun and getting a great education. I guess my point is you play high school ball for bragging rights in your community and region of the state. The ultimate goal is to be state champions.Along the way ,you play good teams and cupcakes (due to regional play) but the bottom line is if your team makes to state (especially year after year) then what does it matter if you are ranked in some meaningless national high school poll. On the other hand ,if your goal is give your child an opportunity at a scholarship in college then go the route you have taken with your daughter. Either way this process should be fun for you and your children.....

Have not been on here much since my daughter has moved on and is playing in college. What a wonderful thing for the Cruisers, congratulations to all the girls, coaches and parents. This is a great accomplishment for the Criusers and Tennesse softball. It takes a lot of time ,effort, money and dedication just to play competitive travel ball much less win the National Championship. Over the years we have played the Nighthawks, Explosion ,West Tn. Diamonds and some of the better Middle Tn teams so I have seen the talent level from the Nashville area. Again ,congratulations and enjoy your championship.....

Congratulations Kristen and Shelley, two outstanding young ladies. Of course the jury is still out on James and Terry...

It is my understanding that if you are a teacher/coach in the Blount system your children can attend school where they are zoned or at the school where the teacher/coach works. We go to church with a lady who teaches at Lanier(sp) but she lives on the other side of the county, her kids went to school with her as a convenience. I could be wrong....

Stars I didn't include you in the "some Maryville fans." I have a feeling that most of the Rebel fans who disc the county schools are somewhat younger than you and I(well at least me, since WB didn't exist when I was in high school)

Nice posts etcoach and Govman...as I said some of the Maryville folks(not all) are spoiled and look down on the county teams from their Ivory pressbox. They have a quality coach and coaching staff, plus the best of the area athletes want to play for Maryville ,that is a given. Coach Q and staff will not be there forever. Things change, coaches, classifications, records I just hope the Maryville fans who are always down on the county schools remember this some where down the road. To the Maryville fans who support the county schools, thank you. Good luck to the Rebels and Tornadoes this weekend.....
