In this crazy Father Ryan Christmas tournament teams have had many ups and downs and every team in this tournament has been solid teams, everybody plays hard and tough but this is hows its been goin 1st day.................... Lavergne beat Stratford Oakland beat Hillsboro Independence beat Blackman Glencliff beat Father Ryan 2nd day...................... Stratford beat Hillsboro in a fast pace game Father Ryan beat Blackman in a shootout Lavergne beat Oakland in a crazy game Glencillf beat Independence in a good game Tomorrow in the last day of the tournament........ Hillsboro plays Blackman in the 7th/8th place game @ 3 pm Father Ryan plays Stratford in the 5th/6th place game @ 4:30p Oakland plays Independence in the 3rd/4th place game @ 6:30p Glencliff plays Lavergne in the Championship game @ 8

I have to say that the best game of the year was Father Ryan vs MBA, it was a close game the whole night with MBA winning 14-7 with an interception that sealed the win on father ryans last drive, Ryan gave MBA a scare this year letting every one know father ryan was not a easy team this year

Father Ryan vs Pope John Paul II its the first ever varsity game between the two teams its also being called the beginning of what's called the clash of the Catholics in middle tennessee Its also a huge rivalry so expect a load of people to be there

yea coach lussier is a very good coach.....and i do seem him changing things around and making them a powerhouse again.....it might take some time, it might not, this year will not be a test it will just be a start-up for coach lussier but he can really have a good year this year with the athletes that coach lussier has, so look for father ryan to be very competitive this year............but it will be hard bc we are in one of the toughest division in the state if not the toughest will discipline, coaching styles, work ethic and athleticism. So don't count us out this year

I do agree wit you guys, that guy #4 from harding is a very good ball player(i look to see his name mentioned alot next year because he can shoot the jumper and he can slash to the goal and hes a quick fellow)

well outright number 1 upcoming senior is Brandan Wright from BA along with the help of Josh Bone Father Ryan has some good upcoming seniors with Corry Stewart, Isaac Stovall, and Antwain Simmons JPII has a good standout in Alvin Ingle and a physical player in Brian Sneed MBA has also got a good ball player in Deon Gaines BGA im not sure about USN i am not sure about either and that pretty much does it for the middle if you got any body else from the middle or east or west let us know

yea i must say that this game will be a wonderful/pleasurable game to play in or even watch......it will probably be the biggest game friday night and supposedly it is to be a packed gym and we(father ryan) have a huge gym.......can't wait to play BA.....its the battle of the top two teams in Division and two top ten teams in the mid-state.......both teams are on a huge win streak(not counting that loses of BA to national ranked team which they played very good games i should say) and are red hot......as far as i know both teams will be coming in gased up and ready to go for this action-packed game....it will be huge...the winner will be the #1 team in D-2 after that game.......good luck to both teams and i can't wait for the crowd to hype it up for everybody.........BA/Father Ryan........best game to watch friday night ROLL PRIDE ROLL

ummm i was there and what really happened was that he(devin boyd) went up for a dunk and it looked like he dunked it but all he did was throw the ball in the rim bc he got up so high.....he didnt touch the rim at all.....the refs at this tourney were not that good of refs but still a very exciting tourney

uhhhhhh oakland beat blackman but i dont remember the score.....it was an alright game though

updates of the tourney..........JP2 beats Oakland, Glencliff beats Blackman, Stratford beat Lavergne, and Father Ryan beats Hillsboro.......all games were very exciting game......no team in any game really dominated.....the two games to fight for a championship bid went down to the wire.......Stratford and Lavergne went down to the last seconds in the fourth and the Father Ryan and Hillsboro game had to be decided in OT.......................this how is goes for the last day of the tourney.......Blackman plays Oakland for 7th/8th place, Glencliff plays JP2 for 5th/6th place, Lavergne plays Hillsboro for 3rd/4th place and last but not least.......the host team Father Ryan plays Stratford in the championship.....i do believe everybody who played in this tournament definitely gotten better all around bc its all about defense and teamwork and every team has found that out one way or another.....come watch and see these spectacular games

well after the first round of play Father Ryan beats Glencliff and Hillsboro beats Blackman and Lavergne beats Oakland and Stratford beats JP2.............as the road goes for the championship(winners bracket) Father Ryan plays Hillsboro at 8 Stratford plays Lavergne at 6:30 (bottom bracket) Glencliff plays Blackman at 4:30 and JP2 plays Oakland at 3(all games should be very good games) come and watch to see which to teams of the winners bracket will end up in the championship game......will it be Hillsboro, Lavergne, Stratford, or the host team Father Ryan.....come and find out for yourself ........ one love

i meant Stratford vs Oakland game but Stratford has a tough game against a very defensive team in JP2 and Oakland plays Lavergne along with Ryan playin Glencliff and Hillsboro playing Blackman in the first round

actually not being disrespectful but we(father ryan) are not having a down year......we are 6-3(way better than last year) and we have played some pretty tough teams in Giles County, Christian Brothers, McCallie, etc. and we have had good games....Giles county is a good team and thats why they sneaked away with a win against us but yea im not saying were the favorite but were definitely a competitor this year to go to state tourney and win our tourney.......but yea to be honest oakland will have to get through stratford and win the title if they both win first round and likewise with us and hillsboro.....we have played hillsboro twice during the summer and they were both good games so if we both make it to the round.....u should come and watch bc it will be an exciting game and so will the hillsboro oakland if they make it to meeet each other which they should......im not putting anybody down in our tourney bc everybody has the capability to win our tourney and thats why i agree with u when u said that between this tourney and the beech tourney there are some good teams who are capable of winning any given day.....GOOD LUCK!!!!!! to everybody........not trying to be cocky but i can see us at a favorite to win our own tourney for the 2nd time in 5 years(even though oakland has dominated the past year and glencliff winnning last year)

Before anybody says anything......the biggest and best gym in middle tennessee(prolly all of tennessee) is Father Ryan high School(D2 AAA).....its has 3 1/2 courts and is the nicest gym with the banners, scenery,etc.......if you wanna take a look at the gym....come see a game and enjoy the game and scenery....its great thumb

Yes it was a crazy game and Father Ryan showed the strength to never back down and fight all 4 quarters....yes its true ryan hasn't had the breaks go there way but no matter what anybody says.....ryan has played hard all season and given it all they got.........................the first drive was started by an INT from ryan's Def Lineman justin bullock and a TD by RB mike hausman.........CBHS scored on the next drive with there RB(who is a pretty darn good back)......then ryan comes back with a 10 yard TD pass from corry stewart to aaron bateman that put ryan up at half 14-7......after half CBHS comes out and scores 16 unanswered points (2 TDs and a field goal) but a crucial missed extra point on one of the TDs(makes the score 23-21.....the next CHBS drive ryan's safety alex nolte takes a fumble all the way back for a TD which makes the score 23-21 and with 30 seconds on the clock one of ryans qbs corry stewart puts them in field goal range with a 11 yard scramble......the next play sean vinnetts pass to julius virgo was caught in the endzone but called back for off. pass interference....and senior Jonathan crawford catches a 10 yard out and gets out of bounce with 3.1 seconds left and ryan's kicker will bridenstine caps off the win with a 30+ yard field goal straight through the up rights and gives ryan its 1st win of the season............it was a darn good all around game by both teams and CBHS is a good team but Ryan shows everybody that they never give up....................ROLL PRIDE!!!!!

Father Ryan/MBA........what are your thoughts on this game(is at MBA on a thursday night and suspected to be a spectacular games from both teams) said by many high school players in Tenn

i would say that one of the best junior RB's is mike hausman of father ryan and another would be bobby council of pearl cohn....they are both good athletes and have the ability to break tackles, make cuts and turn up the speed at any time on the field....they will be a force this season and most likely next season

i am just curious on who be the star of quarterbacks for this season and next season
