quit crying about the loss. GC was never in danger of losing by a large margin. They were the ones that could have pulled away on free throws had they knocked them down. I did not see the game you all played against R-way, but if you can say that GC could have lost by 15, and that you saw 20 missed layups by R-way, then I have no doubt that you deserved to lose. bolivar lost to a team that they had already beaten several times. As the saying goes, it is hard to beat a good team a number of times in a given season. They lost to the state champs by 1 point on a last second half courter on the road. That team was solid. It doesn't matter that you had someone beat if you don't finish the job. GC trailed at the half to both Haywood and Ridgeway, but showed the heart to step it up in the second half. I agree that Portland and especially Fulton were a little overrated. If Fulton would have beaten any of the other 7 teams in the tourney I would have had to consider that a pretty big upset.

Bolivar has to be in the top 5. 1.GC 2.Ridgeway 3.Haywood 4.Bolivar 5.Elizabethton

don't sit in the student section if you don't want to deal with that. That is the way it is at the end of every game. GC had to deal with the Bradley fans, but that is just part of the next teams wanting to get the best seats possible. Your just mad cause you lost. Cry me a River.

after the bolivar win I tried to tell west TN to step up. I got told that west TN would be there in full force in the tournament. I got told that the gold ball runs through memphis. the only way its goin through memphis now is if the GC bball team takes a trip to mississippi and brings it with em'. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA who's laughin' now?

too bad fulton isn't from west TN, then I would have had 100 people telling me how awesome they are. RP44 did you hear that Ripley might have been the most athletic team in the state(according to TWHOOPS)? we played them didn't we? double digit victory as I recall

just being nice...won't happen again. i'd been trying to get somebody to tell me something about fulton since the draw was done and he was the only one to give me an answer.

let's just say that giles was in a west TN AA region (6,7,or 8) this past yr, i would like to hear what some people would say their record might be based on say a 25 game schedule. Could they be a 20 game winner?

I was hoping the fulton fan that posted earlier could explain a couple of things that Fulton likes to do on offense and defense. I don't know much about them and was just wondering what to look for. do you have a standout player? isn't 6'3 the tallest players you have?

I will concede that the talent pool overall in west TN is deeper, but the talent is dividede up onto teams just as it is in middle TN. As long as giles keeps advancing they will play the best teams from west that are able to move on. giles is not dodging anyone. They can't avoid their district games to come play all the teams that you feel are good out there. They scheduled some Al and Ky games along with COL. twice and the trip to Dyer CO. to get ready for the tournament play. So far it looks as if it is working out alright for them. You should love us way more than you hate us. We are the (Bob)cats by the bar toasting to the good life, your the .................trying to pull us back.RIGHT!

what type of game does fulton like to play? I saw where their tallest players are 6'3, do they like to shoot from downtown? do they play more zone or man to man D?

catch and shoot = .3 sec. nba & ncaa follow that rule that leaves .8 sec for a dribble

do not tell me that people have not said that the battle tested bolivar would beat the team from middle TN in the weakest district in the state. that being said, i never said that this game could not have gone either way. my point is that had that shot rattled out, everyone from west TN would have came out of the woodwork to hate on giles and you all know it. those two teams couldn't have been more evenly matched and it doesn't matter what part of the state they come from. B. Lake's double double should not go unnoticed.
