I was told that it is illegal to play on your high school basketball team and also play club volleyball at the same time. Is this true, or have I been lied to?

The scout with the radar gun had Harrington at 91 and 92 in the seventh inning. He was bringing some gas. Not bad for a Junior.

Glad to see Dyer is back, now maybe the focus can be put back on the USJ baseball team and not their coach, although I'm sure that he has enjoyed reading about himself in the press. I do want to take exception with one of the things Dixie Softball said. If Dyer did nothing wrong, why did the USJ headmaster suspend him? I'm no expert but that seems kinda foolish to suspend somebody so everyone else can talk about them. And why would the Jackson Sun report him as suspended if he actually wasn't? Wouldn't that be illegal? I talked to a person that said he didn't actually break any rules, but broke the spirit of the recruiting rule? whatever that means. Something about offering illegal inducements or how it could be viewed as illegal since this kid was his acutal player on his team. Really, who cares? I guess the Parsons people were tired of seeing Gant drive past Riverside on his way to USJ.

Jonathan is decent...I'll give you that....but I'm telling you that he isn't as good as Moore right now. He may be, but not this season. Phillip doesn't have control so he is just a thrower, not a pitcher. It takes more than a fastball to win these days.

seriously dude...you better check up on Miles Moore....he's got some very serious stuff. He's in the top 10 arms in West TN including Memphis and may be in the top five. I know what kind of player you are (height-challenged 2nd baseman)...and not trying to dis you or anything, but you ain't gonna catch up to him. His stuff (FB, Change, BB) is better than anything you'll see if BP at Milan.

If you don't know who Miles Moore is now...you will. Also, while you played Crockett Co. in the Chester Co. tournament, I'm pretty sure Moore was playing with Dulin's Dodgers in Memphis. But keep talking...do you notice that you are the only one's doing any.

Don't know if they'll play today...the field was pretty wet last night and it rained a lot here. Riverside is done, Camden and McKenzie play in the loser's bracket and Lexington awaits the winner. That didn't look like the same Lexington team last night. I'm sure being without electricity, phones, etc. for the past couple of days had an effect. They looked sluggish at times. Not being in school probably had an effect as well as being shell shocked from the Tornado. Lots of those kids have spent the last two days cutting trees and clearing debris off their houses. I've heard that they have a lot of damage in Lexington and I heard one parent talking about two kids from Lexington that completely lost their houses. Hats off to milan for playing a good game, and thumbs down to all the fans on both sides that mouthed so much. I'm sure Lexington will be back, and a wounded Tiger is very dangerous.

Seems to be the case at a lot of schools...Football seems to rule the roost most places since they are the "money" sport, but they shouldn't get any more favors than anyone else. Our board says that baseball is a "minor" sport. I beg to differ, we don't treat it as a minor sport and players from baseball get more scholarships that all the other sports combined around here.

Looks like to me the poll has a little bit of a East Tn Flavor....but it is your opinion I guess. In AA, South Side doesn't really belong in there that high, and Covington needs to be higher. Marshall County belongs near the top in AA. Ridgeway in AA is not really that good, although they have an excellent record, look at their schedule. In AAA Farragut is the best, and Houston, Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, Germantown, etc. need to be in there towards the top. The AAA state tournament, with 8 teams will be a dandy! In Class A, the best team is JCS, followed by USJ, CCS, and etc. No Way JCS is #5 with their schedule (played all four #1's in the TBCA poll) and by beating USJ twice. Huntingdon in class A should get a few looks, too.

I think Lexington gave Milan about 3 of the 4 runs they scored on errors so to say that you should have won the game is a mistake. You could have won the game might be better statement to make.

looks like to me Milan should have been worrying about Camden instead of focusing on Lexington so much. Has Markum pitched against Lexington? If so, how did Lexington do against him?

Went over to watch the Lexington/Milan game but when I got there Milan was practicing and Lexington wasn't there. WHy? Because Milan cancelled the game because the field was too wet.?! Funny, it wasn't too wet to practice on.
