  1. Franklin's Leftfielder is a D-1 Prospect. I don't think you want to tick him off too much. And if you do, you might want to duck up there on the hill when he is batting.
  2. Has anyone from Creek Wood seen Lexington play? There are just as many people on here picking Creek Wood to win as people picking Lexington. None of us fans know who will win. I bet it ticks Lexington off something fierce to see Creek Wood people saying that are basically a fluke and will lose. Those boys are really fired up because of all the people saying they will lose. Looks like Lexington is the underdog to hear all you people talk. Lexington hasn't got any respect all year and that isn't starting now. Keep talking it up
  3. Catfish is just yanking you guys chains here....trying to stir the pot with all the Lexington fans. On another thread, he said Lexington was for real and liked someone picking them in the state finals against Fulton. Its funny if you follow the different threads and see people flip flop. Too funny
  4. Go back and check your film man...and you will see who started the fight at the scrimmage. Keep watching and you will see who ended the fight. LC started the fight...LaVergne ended it. Both teams were tired...both had been running a lot...your arguement there isn't valid. Smyrna may beat LaVergne by 2 TD's, they probably should, but come friday night both teams will strap 'em on and decide it there. And one more thing, I'm no talent scout, but based on what was witnessed from both LC and Franklin, it will be a long game for the Falcons.
  5. It's not a rumor now. For those of you that were shooting the messenger, I'm glad I can duck fast. http://miva.jacksonsun.com/miva/cgi-bin/mi...200502246976866
  6. I just got more info on the situation. Apparently, the USJ coach was driving a fresman player to school each day that lives outside of Madison County. The school found out and asked him to stop. He didn't and the situation was turned in by an outside source to the TSSAA. They gave USJ the option of suspending the coach or take 1 year of probation. They chose the former and the coach was suspended. I still haven't found out the duration, but my iron clad source tells me that he will be fired and that Joesph Talley from Chester Co. is in line for the job now. I wonder if Coach Carey would come back now? Also, do you think a certain reporter at the Jackson Sun with a kids at USJ and another that just graduated is keeping a finger on this to keep it from being published? Also, is the school keeping it hush hush to keep down appearances that everything isn't so rosy in paradise?
  7. I'd add Lexington to the mix there somewhere. They are loaded. I know Patterson wants to fly under the radar screen, but I've got to give credit to that team. I saw them first hand as freshmen and know what they are capable of. Lots of team speed, and a deep, deep pitching staff. Watch for the J. Keck's little brother. They have a brutal schedule, loaded with good AAA teams, but in the end they will be right there. I'm going to say the road the AA state championship will again go through District 11 AA. Two out the last 3 have come from there. With Lexington and Milan in 11AA, and Covington, Dyer County, Ripley, Jackson South Side, etc. dominating also in West TN, they will bring home the gold again for the 4th straight year.
  8. saw you play in the courier classic at Savannah and saw you play in Lexington. IS that specific enough for you? Were you even on the Smyrna team last year to make that trip?
  9. I saw Smyrna play last year in West TN and if they aren't any better than what they were last year, they might as well quit. They struggled hitting against mediorce pitching and i heard they had a bunch of seniors. How are they going to be any better?
  10. My "VERY INFORMED" source told me that it was in fact the USJ head coach driving a player to and from school. This player lives near Parsons and goes to USJ. This player's brother played at Lexington. This coach was told to stop and didn't. My source didn't know if the TSSAA had been involved as of yet, but I'm sure they will be now. Said the coach was suspended but didn't know for how long. These are the facts.
  11. I'm hearing for a very reliable source that a member of the USJ baseball staff has bee suspended for recruiting violations. Is this true? Trying to get some independent verification.
  12. Do you milan boys ever notice how you are only ones talking on coacht about the Lexington-Milan game? Do they have a coacht class over there at Milan?
  13. daaaannnng....we better just cancel the season then. I just hope I can get one inning here in Milan's world. What are all the rest of us guys going to do now? I guess we can go fishing or something cause they've got this season already wrapped up. It looks like Milan is going straight to the majors to challenge the Yankees. Oh better yet, why don't Milan just play in the All-Star game instead. They could just inter-squad. It'd be better I'm sure than anything those major league players could put together. We could also put Milan in the Olympics instead of all those college stars. Why not...according to you guys, Milan is best team to ever put on a uniform and play baseball. Give me a freakin' break. While everyone else is practicing and getting better, it looks like the Milan HS Baseball team is taking computer classes. Do they actually have a post on coacht class there at Milan? Wow, that's pretty neat. I thought we were supposed to actually learn something in school instead of talking smack on the internet. Does Coach Joyner know you are giving all these other teams bulletin board material?
  14. Brandon Maness,Lexington's best hitter didn't play in either Lexington/Milan game because of an injury, and neither did Lexington's leadoff hitter or their starting catcher in the first game.
