  1. that is pretty cool, did they like stop the game or something, I mean what do you do when half of the court is taken away? play 3 on 3 half court?
  2. Yes the consolation game of the tournament came down to the last quarter with Fulton pulling out on top. Good game by Fulton in the second half that I saw; it appeared they took care of the ball better than they did the other night against Farragut. Glad they came out on top. On to the main event. Bearden VS Farragut was an incredible game as usual. 67-63 was the final with Farragut on top!! Bearden controlled the scoreboard for most of the game with a 37-30 lead going into the half. In the first half alone 3 Admirals (Huckins, Bosse, Hunter) gained 3 fouls which desparately hindered the Admirals. Second half was a different story all 3 played much smarter, but in the end both Bosse and Hunter fouled out (Hunter's was a crappy call). Scoring and rebouding was all Tim Torrence tonight with 20 points and at least 10 boards, Gibson was next in line pouring in 12. He was pretty cold from beyond the arc and couldn't throw it in the ocean. Sorry Greg. Huckins was a presence inside with 11 points of his own, while Hunter contributed 10. Bosse and Nevels both had 5, and Mike Wright threw in 4. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Dodgen did a credible job in coaching this game (even though most of you know my feelings towards him..). Its good to see a coach do something. Speaking of this Blevins came out with a mostly sophomore starting squad and it worked. They played intensly and with passion, caught the Ads off guard. No 30 had a decent night, and Jeremy Holiday also put forth a good effort. Both teams played fairly throughout the game, and the next matchup shall prove to be even more exciting. CONGRATULATIONS ADMIRALS ON PROTECTING YOUR TITLE!!
  3. Yes Saturday night should prove to be an interesting game. Maryville at their full-strength is always a powerhouse. If the Ads can pull out the Super 16 Championship and have that momentum going into Saturday night, I believe it will be an unfortunate night for your Maryville Rebels.
  4. That'll happen statement, man we are three pathetic losers by the way.
  5. I don't know if it will be worth those 5 bucks, the Ads could definitely throw up another blowout on the scoreboard. But as for the score of last night's game..I don't think that dicates the exactly quality of the Fulton Falcon squad; they most defintiely did not play their best while the Ads played exceptional. I believe when Farragut sees them again (if they do?) the scoreboard will show something a little different, but I hope to see Farragut still on top. Nice to see Seth Smith also, what a guy.
  6. Yes Farragut v Fulton was a great game to watch. Farragut had a great overall effort with four people in double figures. Hunter was the high scorer with 18 (8 in the first quarter), followed by Gibson with a steady night of 16 points. Torrence finally started making some layups and contributed 13, and Huckins chipped in 11 while Bosse also contributed with 9. Good play on both sides of the court with No. 20 (Tyrone Gibson??) of Fulton having a good night throwing down a couple 3's and a few other shooters contributed also. I believe Fulton had a sub-par night though; the well coached team looked a little sloppy with many turnovers which contributed to easy Admiral points. This game definitely helps to prove the quality of the Admiral squad and how real they are this year. Moving on... Big Rivalry game tonight Bearden v Farragut, but with the way Farragut is playing right now I wouldn't be surprised to see another game like earlier in the year. If the Admirals can bring the same level of intensity and teamwork to this game I forsee no problems. On the other hand it is the biggest rivalry on the west side and you can never count Blevins's Bulldogs out.
  7. I'm glad to see it gone then. It seems the only intention stones ever had was to insult FHS.
  8. statement are you suggesting farragut was overrated, as in a sarcastic comment towards stones
  9. Wow I thought coacht was a board promoting Tennessee High School Sports where sports enthusiasts could come on and post about their favorite high school team; not log on and throw out direct insults at each other. Personally it is really annoying (although a little comical) hearing all this smack talking when I all really want to know about is East TN Rankings like the thread topic says. It wastes my valuable time to read all of your insults towards one another.
  10. its obvious stones has no respect for farragut and cannot come to the truth that we actually have a good team after 3 years of waiting and who cares what happened last year and its a new year where farragut is still undefeated...and its obvious the people at farragut don't have much respect for catholic since most of them haven't seen them play, maybe they do deserve that respect but since they're not undefeated theres no way you can put them ahead of an undefeated team in a poll; maybe hoops4ever is right and we should set up a side game and let them play to see who wins......by the way what was the inappropriate post
  11. much appreciated, i'll see you there
  12. yea basically knoxville is a horrible town to live in, its boring and has a very small talent pool for basketball but that seriously farragut is not the fifth best team in knoxville, as long as they continue to play well as a team they will win ball games and thats all that really matters...who cares if they shut a team out or win by one point...as long as that 0 stays on the right side of the win loss column you cant say much about them
  13. wow this has become quite an interesting thread over the past week, nice post bam5..good movie...so how about those rankings....so rhea county is number 9 huh? what makes them so special
  14. been out of town for the past week, when is it going to be played? should be a good game but farraguts guards will have their hands full with the speed of fulton
  15. they all wear hollister shirts, but i hear their principle is pretty cool
  16. is there anybody who doesn't like where farragut's at?
  17. the dragon den is a tough place to play, but the ads should not look past the super 16 tourney where they could defeat bearden again
  18. any inside presence? and can farragut's perimeter players contain jeff co's perimeter players?
  19. thats cool, glad to meet another LOTR fan...i would call myself a pretty big loser when it comes to Tolkien and his world and yes my name comes from Tolkien's first book, The Simarillion (recommended read), and he is the god of all evil
  20. what does jeff co have to throw against farragut? and the rest of the games i really dont care about..
  21. sorry, this is off the thread topic i know but i must ask one2ruleall a question, would you happen to be a big lord of the rings fan? and if so do you know where my name comes from?
  22. Anyone have a summary of this game for me? I know the Ads won but any details?
  23. man webb is in the top 10? maybe i should go change my prediction to spartans upsetting the no 2 ranked admirals....wait wait no theres no way they can contend
