I think I had that confused with the west/central score. However the "athletes" comment still remains.

wasn't west supposed to beat Halls by 3 or 4 TD's because of all their "athletes"? Maybe west didn't play the same "athletes" against Halls that they used to beat carter by 22pts. The fact is, Halls rarely has the "athletes" that their opponents do, and they've still only had one losing season since 1968 (and even that year they beat maryville and cleveland).

Halls will win if they can overcome the fireworks and introduction at "the hive" (or is it nest?) Did the hornets have to get permission from the "Nature Boy" Rick Flare to use his music? I wonder if they're in violation of copyright laws? Not to mention county ordinances against the use of fireworks.

This is not correct. If Halls wins and powell loses to central, then Halls, powell, and west would be tied at 3-3 in the region. If that is the case, then they go to over-all record. Halls 5-5, west 5-5, powell 4-6. west beat Halls, so they'd be 3rd, and Halls would be 4th. powell is out unless they beat central or Halls loses to carter. They definately did not lock a playoff spot.

a former oak ridge and clinton o-line coach and a former clinton freshman coach are running the middle school team. I think they've only got one loss this season.

FYI playcall, Halls has scored 35pts. twice this year, and held 4 teams to under 21pts. I think if you check the stats, west is very similar, if not the same.

Playcall, how could powell have beaten west with just a few athletes? According to you, the game has changed and you have to have athletes to win. If this is the case, then either west doesn't have the athletes you talk about or powell does. Also, since Halls beat powell, that would mean that Halls has athletes and powell doesn't. Or... it could mean that you've got no clue what your talking about.

west's speed didn't seem to bother powell too much. And they're slower than Halls.

Well, KFL how many wins did you have over central while you were at Halls? It must have been lousy coaching if you lost, because someone with the ability to run over chase lobetti 8 out of 10 times had to be a stud. (note my sarcasm, I'm laying it on thick)

"recruiting" is illegal. And is simply not allowed in knox co. Surely you were talking about getting other athletes within their own school to play football.

I agree central will keep their starters in. But, the real question is will they keep them in to tune up for maryville? Because Halls has them in a dog fight? or to run up the score like they did against clinton? sure it's clinton's job to stop them, but was there really a need to throw any kind of pass when your up 65-0 and running an 8min. quarter?

poor leadership for the last few years is now taking its toll on a program with loads of potential. just my opinion.

I believe what REDRASH means is that Halls has had a solid program for 25yrs. without having the talent level that their competition consistantly has. It's easy to be a good coach when you've got good players.
