  1. I agree with westtnsports! For the most part, the USJ fans act with class, but there are a couple of you on here who disagree with anything that is not glorious about USJ. You did not play well in the Lexington tournament. We don't want to hear all the excuses, just admit you did not play well and go on. I think it is interesting that when USJ has lost, you do not hear a peep from any of you! You just need to play the game and act with some class.
  2. Is it correct that Dyer Co. beat USJ? I never hear about the losses for USJ, only the wins, so I was curious about what happened is this game, if it is true?
  3. That was after we were gone! I know Coach Harrell's last season was rough.
  4. Coach Harrell's last season was disappointing ( we were already gone)! But I have heard from some that this coach is lacking in the motivation department. That is really sad. I know Randy could always seem to get the most out of his players. Working hard was expected in all facets of the game. Like I said, I wish the Indians well and I know that they must move on, maybe this coach will learn some things this season.
  5. This score will be a dagger in the heart to many North Side alums who enjoyed the Randy Harrell style of baseball, winning! We never lost to USJ! I think the Indians may have a long season. I wish them well, but things will never be the same since Coach Harrell is gone. He was a great coach and that program was outstanding. I enjoyed our 4 years of baseball more than I even realized.
  6. What else do you know about North Side? How do they look after losing Coach Harrell? My son played there and he was a great coach. He could get more out of players than most people. I will always be a Indian Baseball fan.
  7. What I do not understand is the arrogance. If the TSSAA told him to stop giving the player rides, why did it continue? Did Coach Dyer think he really did not have to follow the TSSAA directions? It sounds like the situation could have been avoided if he would have stopped giving the rides when the TSSAA told him to stop. Now, it is sort of like he is getting what he deserves since they gave him the chance to stop. That is just how I see it. I am not a TSSAA fan, but I think if they tell you to stop, you should probably follow that direction!
  8. Sha is really something! What schools are recruting her, besides Florida? What schools are after Amber Penn? They have a really goo team this year!
  9. JuicyT, let me clarify a few things. First, North Side Basbeall Boosters completely built their field, including the fieldhouse! We raised the money, we paid for it. NOTHING from the school board! The baseball field was literally nothing but a field when coach Harrell got there. He and the parents built the entire thing. The lights, the fieldhouse, everything was paid for by the Booster Club. My son was there for four years and we worked our butts off, but it was worth every penny. So let's get the facts straight on that. Secondly, how do you know so much about Mrs. Lumley and the girls basketball team? I know Mrs. Lumley personally and what you said is not true. It sounds like a rumor to me. She has always been a tough coach, but she is always fair. You were not honest about what happened with Mr. Lumley either. He did not leave because he was offered another job; he left because the parents said some pretty horrible things about him to the administration and he "resigned". The whole thing was handled very poorly by the administration. I just want to get the facts straight. Northside gets the same thing that JCM gets for baseball; we just worked really hard to get the facilities into the shape they are now!
  10. Cofu, I did not realize that Teri also resigned. Boy, they lost a great girls basketball coach there! Makes you wonder what is happening there!
  11. Wad, I agree 100%. I think the way that situation was handled was completely wrong! If the "program wanted to go in a different direction" they should have waited until after the season to address those issues. It just could have been handled with some professionalism! I hope JCM finds what they are look for, because the way this thing happened, alot of coaches would not touch that job! Of course, this is just my opinion.
  12. hillado, I will step far away from you as the blasting from volunteer will begin! Glad it's somebody else's turn!
  13. Volunteer, Enough said! I heard from Coach Lumley and I heard your thoughts. I will have my opinion and you can have yours. This was bad on the adminstration's part. I think we CAN agree on that. I hope your school can build a good baseball program. I have nothing against you or JCM, I have many friends there and alot of great kids there. Best wishes for the future!
  14. Okay Volunteer, I am not the only one on this board that has said that the WAY the situation was handled was the problem. I did hear directly from Coach Lumley his side of it, so that is what I based my judgement on. And I do think that the players and parents did have some role in it. You can fire away at me, but I do not look foolish! You should go back and reread the entire thread. There were others who think the adminstration did not do a very good job of handling this situation. I also stated that it was time for a change, and I responded to JuiceT about his remarks as to how "hard" coach Lumley was during some conditioning sprints. I will agree to disagree with you as long as you agree to diasagree with everyone else who has stated the exact same thing as I did. Like I said earlier, I hope JCM find what they are looking for! I have every right, just as you do, to have an opinion, based on my knowledge of the situation. I would never want to impede on anyone's right to what they believe in; so I would hope that my rights would be just as respected. That is all I can say! Best of Luck of JCM in the future!
