What a classy statement If you play ball or a parent of someone who does you know the effort and time that goes into playing sports. These guys have put as much work into playing as any team in the area. Why do people get so much pleasure in trying to make everything they do daily seem so not important? Well guys I don't think you care who you are playing- you just love the game. One question -- if WV's district is so weak then why did Cleveland and Bradley have AA teams from WV's district in both of their tournaments?? Walker Valley you are a good team.

District 5AAA Rhea ended Bradley's Season 2-1, Winning run on a balk by Pickle as Rhea player was stealing home.

They played in Georgia and did lose 2 out of 3 against some of the best teams in the state. Their coach goes where they can see some teams they might have to play later and so different colleges can see his players. I really don't think it matters to the players who they play they never seem to get uptight, and find a way to win, different players have been stepping up all year. Solid defense, good speed, above average power, very good pitching, and one of the best coaches around.

I hope they don't go by what is in the paper, cause I know that some of the info is wrong. Sorah has more RbI's and so does Turner, Turner also has 10 Homeruns, McGuire is 5-0 with an era of less than 0.7 going into tonights game, I do think that Dye's era may have increased some, and that is just from Walker Valley. McMinn Central has one player Kyle Loveday that I think his Stats are low also. How he and another player from McMinn Central didn't make it last year is beyond me when their was one Kid on the Best of preps who they both had better numbers than and their team beat his every time they played and they both out played him, so I would have to agree that it is alot of hype and maybe parents promoting their kid, same thing happens in football and basketball. I meant to say Dye's era went down, and I left out Tlyer Stafford rbi's increased. Mcguire is now 6-0 after tonights game. Walker won 16-1, the one was unearned I think.

Sorry to offend you belcher10, these are just some of the kids that played ok in the games I saw, just my opinion doesn't mean anything. If it was up to me and seeing how weak this district has turned out to be this year(after I thought it was going to be tough) I would not pick anybody except from Walker and McMinn Central. Maybe 1 from Meigs.

Walker could put 6 or 7 players on the team, and McMinn Central should have both the Lovedays and maybe 1 more, Polk Hicks, Sequoyah one of the Mosers, and Watkins, Tellico its hard to say maybe 1 or 2, Meigs I don't really know. Sweetwater the Morris boy. I think this years MVP might be Stafford the catcher at Walker. He's picked off at least 8 runners and thrown out more trying to steal on him, and has a real good average with alot of big hits, all the while he is competing with another good catcher in Reed. Coach of the year Turner, tough job keeping so many kids happy, plays seniors and makes great choices in close games. Of course they have alot of talent much that hasn't been used yet, Reed, Evenyck, Douglas, Harris, and more.

You have got to score runs to win. I heard Kingston only had two hits on McGuire last night. The defense at Walker Valley and the pitching do not get enough credit. These guys are playing together as a team and the pitching has been great I want mention everyone but I bet combined as a team they have one of the lowest era's in the area and they have an awesome defense that supports whoever is on the mound. Walker Valley scored 8 runs and left bases loaded -- could have been more--and Kingston had 2 hits and 2 walks. You guys from Walker Valley just keep playing ball as a team and let your baseball do the talking for you . Good luck to Kingston I am not saying you are not a good team. However you need to be able to back up what you are saying. Stay focused -- Go Stangs

Yes, Paul Sorah is having a great year, sorry didn't mean to leave him unmentioned. Kugler has thrown good a few times himself. The sophmore Evenyck is also throwing well when he gets the chance, he closed the game out tonite against Kingston in the 7th 3 up 3 down.

Right now Bradley does not have a #1 pitcher Holder is throwing as good or better than anyone else. Walker doesn't have one either They use 3 seniors and one or two Jr.s most of the time. Dye,Stevens, and McGuire all have looked good this year. It just seems that whoever they put in even to D.H. or run ends up helping the team. Bradley's problem seems to be on the offensive side more than anything else. They also are not very deep.

I think Pickle had 1 for Bradley and McGuire had 2 for Walker.

Indian that's pretty good, I think any of those could beat each other or split in a series. Next I would say Ooltewah ,Chatt. Central and if the Loveday boys are pitching McMinn Central, then McMinn County if they don't have walks and errors.

Walker wins 7 to 6, Stephens pitched 6 and Sorah Closed. McCallie pitched at least 4 pitchers. McCallie hit a Grand Slam in the 1st and Walker had 3 Homeruns in their half. Good game for the conditions.

He pitched a 2 hitter through six but gave up 3 more in the 7th. McGuire pitched a 4 hitter and only one hit left the infield for Walker Valley. Real good pitching duel great game to watch. I 'm sure both were tired after that one, both teams deserved to win. Walker Valleys catcher made some nice plays and they got the hits when they needed them.
