Walker won tonight 14-3, McGuire pitched whole game gave up 2 walks, 3 hits struck out 8, they play Ga. 4-a state champs next. Bennett hit long homerun.

They had the bases loaded in the 7th with 2 outs and the batter struck out. Sorah pitched the whole game I think, good game, good start to the season.

Walker started a soph. against York and he gave up a bloop single, a check swing. They only had 2 base runners, the last one was thrown out trying to steal second by 10 feet. Their pitcher did ok but had to many walks and Walker stole at least 6 or 7 bases on their catcher. No Walker didn't play great that game and still won 9-0.

There is about 7or 8 on Walker Valley's team, Kyle Loveday from McMinn Central is doing pretty good so far and Cleveland has at least 2, not including Carver. I'm not sure about Bradley's they have not played much yet.

Walker Valley 9 York 0 Three WV pitches gave up one hit, Evenyk started pitched 5 innings I think gave up one hit, a bloop single, struck out 10, Frazier pitched the 6th walked one struck out 2, McGuire finished the game struck out 2. WV only had eight hits Kugler hit the ball well as did Sorah, Turner hit one of the center field wall, York had 4 errors and gave up at least five steals.

If they are that interested in playing D-1 why don't they try to walk on. Talk to the coaches see what they have to say, I'm sure they could get some finacial aide if needed , Pell Grants or something else, give it a try for one year and see where they stand. Just a thought. And what happened to Pickle going to MTSU is that not a D-1 school or have they offered?

Walker won 5-4, their short stop pitched the first 5, then ( Matson) I think that was his name, sorry not sure, 1 inning, then Stephens closed. Kingston took a 43 lead in the 5th on a walk an error then a homerun, Walker went ahead in the bottom and no one scored after that. Walker got the first two on in the sixth got caught stealing third once tried a squeeze the pitcher threw to third for an out, and that was about all. It was cold and neither team played real good. Kind of went through the motions. Kugler pitched pretty well and so did Kingstons starter.

I just found out the 2hr. time limit is a TSSAA rule.

Walker Valley pitched two sophmores in the final, They only gave up about 5 hits, but had some walks and a few errors. Good game and it only went 6 innings, they had a 2 hr. time limit, I don't know why. Could anyone answer. Good early season tourney, doesn't mean alot but entertaining.

Opperman, I'm from east Tn. and not once did I ever say Bradley was better than White Station. I've always said that Memphis is where the Best basketball is played, and I have never attacked the town or any of the things that go on there, that is not what this board is about, so please don't put everyone in East Tn. in the same group. Some of us know what Basketball is about. By the way I hope you just saw UAB upset Kentucky, it was a great game, these guys showed what true D1 players are. Congrats to White Station you deserve it.

Walker Valley beat Red Bank, Then came from way down to beat Central 11-8 in the final. Good tourney, alot of good teams.

I 'm a Bradley fan but WS deserved to win, their program has been the best the last 5 years. I'm sure if anyone on the Bradley team were asked they would trade the win at Arby's for one in the state any time they lost to WS, Doesn't mean their not good, just like their coach said all year they had a big target on them and everybody played them tough. With that said how big a target do you think WS had on them?

Ooltewah still had the same players in the field and still swinging the bats didn't they? And Walker Valley hasn't used all their pitchers yet either, they have about seven who are close to the same.

I think Walker Valley beat Ooltewah last night 9-3. East ridge 14-1, and this morning they beat Chatt Central 4-1.

It gives them another rebounder also if Brown stays in But he didn't, Teams win basketball games not players. Without Bledsoe stepping up late in the season they don't make it that far Because he gave them a fourth option to score and blocked some shots, next year they will be better just because they will have a better point guard, who should play more team ball, all their good players are coming back. But give the other team credit they found a way to win.

Going into the 7 it was 9-1 Walker Valley over Ooltewah. W.V. has stranded at least 4 others in scoring position. Final 9-3 Walker Valley. Ooltewah scored 2 in top of ninth off relief pitcher. W.V. left 6 in scoring position.

I read in a local paper this morning a local coach giving his reasons why they lost a close game yesterday, best player on the bench in foul trouble, poor free throw shooting, refs letting it get to rough after his star player had to sit. I don't think he once mentioned his point guard had 1 assist and 8 turnovers, or say the other team just gave us trouble with their press, give the other team some credit, what is really funny about this is that's exactly how he won a game in the district, kind of like poetic justice in my opinion.

Population?? Last time I saw a game both teams had 5 players on the court. Don't try and use the bench and more players either, Cleveland won it using 5 player the whole tournement just a few years ago. Give them credit, right now they are the top program in the State.

Anyone who has been around this family knows that they are BLESSED, they are true Christians in every sense of the word.

I follow all the teams in Bradley County but lean toward WV. Whoever wins pool B I think will win it, but all the teams in that pool might use up all their pitchers against each other especially this early in the year, and some coaches might just want to see how far along their team has come so far. I do think it might be one of the best early season tourneys around, hope they get a big crowd. Good Luck.

Still to early to tell how good Walker Valley will be, just got three starters from basketball last week. Sweetwater did not have much pitching, But I think by mid season W.V. will be one of the top 3-4 teams in the area. I saw two sophs who would be starting for most every one else, and they will get playing time this year. Their pitching is starting to look good and will be deeper than I originally thought. Alot of hitters in the line up this year, and overall more speed. Should be a good early season tourney.
