  1. Tuesday evening until Friday evening is 72 hours
  2. 85 on Tuesday 11 on Thursday 128 on Friday = 224 pitches in 72 hours
  3. Raby throws 224 pitches in 72 hours. 16 innings in 72 hours. Wow!
  4. Ravenwood 5 Brentwood 0. Ravenwood wins district championship.
  5. Ravenwood 6 Summit 2 Ravenwood wins the series 2-1
  6. What a great list of players. Almost half of the players of Division II makes All-State!!! Pretty good odds.
  7. Face it fellas, DII is not true high school football. Its an organized all star game. Good football? yes, it should be when buses are carrying players from Murfreesboro to Ensworth.
  8. Of course you would be in the playoffs, these schools play travel football, very similar to travel baseball, get the best players they can get in a 40 mile radius. Its a garbage league.
  9. Regardless if it 50, 60, or 80 teams.....you have to win 5 playoff games to win a state championship. In the bogus Division 2 setup, win 2 games and you are a state champ? I mean conference champ. Certainly not pure high school football where you have players coming from all over Nashville and other cities. High school football is about my neighborhood vs your neighborhood. Who cares if you can recruit kids from Hendersonville, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, Franklin, etc. to have the best team. Learn how to play the cards that are dealt to you or go coach college football.
  10. The Division II championship winner should be declared conference champions, not state champions. A state championship consists of competition over the entire state that generally consists of more than 80 teams. 11 teams doesn't constitute a state championship. Winning 2 playoff games is like winning a conference championship.
  11. I was considering enrolling my son at Ensworth. I qualified for $4,500 of financial aid. However, if he could run the 40 yard dash in 4.5.........he would have qualified for $20,000 financial aid. $peed rules.
  12. Centennial has the most talented team in the state.
  13. Centennial will dominate Farragut. Cougars 2013 State Champs!!!

  16. are they still building a statue of Rector?
  17. Do you really think this was the first time he met with a prostitute?
  18. You don't get the point. We aren't comparing privates to publics....I am pointing out that regardless of the skill level there is still only 12 teams you have to compete with to win a state championship. 12 teams resembles more of a conference championship rather than a state championship. I agree Ensworth can beat anybody. They should... considering they can pick the players they want, and offer their financial aid to athletes only. High school athletics used to be my town vs. your town. Look at their roster, Murfreesboro, Brentwood, Hendersonville, etc. aPut together your best all-star team. DII should be renamed Travel Ball.
  19. Read my posts more carefully....I never said Ensworth is doing anything illegal. They choose to offer their financial aid money to athletes only. 100% of their aid goes to athletes. In a perfect world, the split should be 50-50. Most privates in Tennessee are around 50-50...some are 60% athletic/40% academic. Ensworth can do what they want. Obviously, they are recruiting athletes over scholars. That is their decision. They have won 2 straight conference championships.....I mean state championships in their eyes.
  20. I have solid proof, there is not one non-athlete at Ensworth receiving financial aid. That is a fact.
  21. you are right, there are probably only 5 public school teams who could compete in DII. When you can basically choose your players, you are bound to be better. Look at Ensworth, the only kids receiving financial aid are the athletes.
  22. Winning a state championship with 12 teams in the state should be considered a conference championship......not a state championship. There are more schools in some public school districts than there are in the Division II level. Therefore, people admiring coaches who have 5,6,7 state championships....do it at the public school sector where you have to compete with 80 teams and not 12.
