  1. ...Played Father Ryan this past weekend and they are a very good team. They have good speed outside, good vision in the midfield, and have a solid defense as well. They connect passes well together, work as a team, and certainly seem to have one of the better teams out of DII. Their hardfought win over Faragut is only a tribute to that.
  2. Yeah...and to emitreccossti, my dad is.
  3. Not exactly how well Father Ryan is being rated, but by first hand expierence, they are quite a good team. They are very dangerous in the mid field and have good speed up top. Wonder if anyone else in the DII middle is up to their caliber this year...

    Fields

Webb's field is always nicely manicured. It's a joy to play on that thing.
  5. What time is the game tuesday? I might try and check it out since its like 3 1/2 seconds away from my house No offense Jeremy or Wally, but I have alot of old friends on the Cleveland team. I might have to stay neutral on this one
  6. Update: Just got back home... Faragut lost to Father Ryan on a pk.(1-0) Faragut themselves missed a pk. McCallie beat ECS in an overtime, golden goal with about 20 sec. left in the first 5 min. period. McCallie beat Father Ryan to win the tournament, 4-2. Goals for McCallie were 2 from Patrick Johnson, one from Joel Bradford, and one from Stone(pk). All said, great tournament, great competition, alot of fun.
  7. I'll repeat: Jeremy Williams = Ooletewah Robbie Miller = Notre Dame Carlos Sanchez = Grace Alex Crabtree = McCallie All Chattanooga area.
  8. Someone's in the library lol...I'm not sure about Joe. There was something about him going to the army or something...

    Cleveland

Caps lock. Haha...I like Cleveland. They have a good team this year with talent that I use to play with. Bahn is better than alot of people think.
  10. US was very impressive. They dominated the wing play, completly denied any Guatemala build-up, and was obviously in ever good shape (high pressure it seemed like the entire game.) Ralston and Lewis were big time on the wings, Johnson did a wonderful job at posessing the ball, and Donovan was much more involved than he was in the Mexico game. Donovan's header was closey onsides(from what I could see), but still, I would say the US had at least 70% of the posession. Great turn around from the Mexico game...if only we could play as well on the road
  11. McCallie vs Grissom @ (I think) 6 eastern. I believe that Faragut plays CBHS as well...Great competition. I'm pretty sure everyone is excited.
  12. Leave the trash talking to the field. Ooltewah is a quality sqaud. Your actions will speak for themselves. Good win against Warren Co.
  13. That was a scrimmage...Games are quite different. I'm pretty sure CBHS plays Faragut this weekend in a tourny in Birmingham. I think McCallie plays Grissom as well. Should be good competition for all.
  14. I don't think that was stated or (intentionally) implied anywhere. On any given day, any given team can pull off a victory. There have been alot of wierd results early on in the season (Ooltewah vs East Ridge etc...) so I wouldn't go making comparisions so early. Ooltewah is solid. So is Soddy. Enough said.
  15. Soddy played a good game against us. We scored early and then made the best of the chances we had the rest of the half. They are a good team and should be listed in the top 10 easily.
  16. Beasley was ineffective against Mexico. The conditions most likely played a factor but I'm pretty sure his absence(or inclusion) wouldn't truely affect the performance of the entire team. The defense looked very suspect, at best, versus Mexico...they were hurting without Pope back there to organize things. Johnson couldn't get the ball but when he did, he didn't do to badly with it. It was his slotted pass that Donovan collected for Lewis's goal. I'll go with US 2-1...but it'll be closer than alot of people think...
  17. I'd add Soddy somewhere in that list. So many seniors this year and they are very skilled all over the field, especially in the midfield.
  18. "The PK, in my opinion, was just plain wrong, or at least the circumstances leading up to it. Jon Moss, you made a great attempt to stop it....just to even get a hand on it was a feat in itself."...I was not at the game...but an ntentional hand ball in the box, especailly in order to stop a goal, should not only be a pk but a red card. As always, the call is up to the ref...
  19. Final 2-0 Notre Dame. One goal was a pk.
  20. With Faragut's full line-up back (or at least close too it), it's hard not to choose Faragut...Score should be interesting
  21. Patrick is playing a very recesed forward...so pretty much, a strongly favoring attack style midfielder. Phil is doing awesome right now too. Just working hard all over the field and doing the little things very very well....Btw, the scrimmage with faragut ended 1-0 us. We had a couple more chances which I personally wished would have gone in, but Faragut is a good team. Plus, I'm pretty sure they were down 4 starters due to injury/sickness.
  22. "Especially MUS's keeper who I have had the pleasure to watch the past few years. Saw him do great 2 years ago in two penalty shootouts in a row in their route to the state finals, and had a pretty good year last year"...I played in that game and I'd have to agree that MUS's keeper is ridiculous...His lateral speed was incredible. He made some amazing saves and in our game, only let 1 pk in. Ironically, it was the one pk that was not placed at all (simply slammed down the middle.) I think he was a sophmore then...He must be even better now.
  23. I read somewhere else Baylor won 3-0 and chris had a hat trick.
  24. haha. Very nice tony. Until yall are beat during the tournament, I'd have to agree with you. Still, pride cometh before a fall. Good luck with yalls season.
  25. anyone know baylor vs usn results from today? score, highlights, flow, possession, shot count, etc.
