They still need to get a few kinks worked out but all in all they're a fair team. Nowhere near last year but definitely don't need to be overlooked. As for the Hog-Eye chant...It's been around for 70 years...It ain't going anywhere.

Let me rephrase that...it COULD be a looooooooong year for LA. Last night Mullins got in foul trouble and that really hurt em, but McCoin came in and was the 2nd leading scorer. If they can play good defense, without fouling and if they can look for and knock down the open shots they will be fine. We have 4 new starters, it's going to take a couple of games for everyone to get adjusted. If they can get it together they will be be able to compete with the best of 'em.

It's going to be a looooooooooooooooooong year for LA.

It should be quite an interesting year in 7AA...JC and LA on top? I don't see it. I see them still being the biggest rivals in the district...But for 4th and 5th place this year. I'm hoping I get proved wrong but that's how I see it...Top 4 will be Smith County, York, Upperman, JC/LA...I've been wrong before, and I'm probably wrong here...But like I said that's the way I see things shaping up.

You're forgetting Ashley Matthews, great ball handler. She will definitely see a lot of minutes this year. I could even see her starting if she had to, but I doubt she will this year...But it is feasible.

LA will probably slip to 2nd or 3rd in the district. I anticipate them getting off to a somewhat slow start but getting it turned up come tourney time. Once again we'll be losing 4 seniors after this year. We need to get our sophomores in there as much as we can because they're loaded with talent. As far as scoring in the paint goes I believe Mullins can do a pretty good job at that. I think scoring will be very balanced this year...Probably won't have much of a go to girl. But who knows.

Oh me. I hate to see her drop out of a program with that much potential, but if that's what she wants to do so be it. I wish her the best of luck wherever she ends up.

Yeah I think our freshman girls can play with Jackson Co. freshmen...They beat em by 30 at LA in a freshman game...

You're way off the mark on that one...Years and years ago there was a basketball team and it was said 4 of the 5 starters was from a small Community in Overton County called Hog-Eye...And everyone started chanting hog-eye hog-eye cant be beat...Or something like that. The stories vary...But I've never heard anything about hog farms...
