I live in Knoxville now but my parents were at the game and said the calls seemed legit. As for the tension after the game everytime I was at a WB Oooltewah game someone has issues (usually losers) and fans get into it verbally escalating to physically. Nothing new when I heard the news...

great season from the owls, looking at how Ridgeway competed with bearden the owls can hold their heads high knowing they had the talent to play with the best of the best in the state. not having a goal in regular play scored against makes it a tough way to lose, but OT and PK's seem to be a trend in this years tourny.

They dont seem to have many reported. Surely they are missing some cause I dont see anything impressive from what is reported.

The game was a blast! Alot of Morocco fans game out and made the atmosphere better. There was 26K people there but most sat down and shut their mouths durring the game! The US looked tired but the crowd sure didnt help enthuse them any.

haha he did the same thing back to Cookeville that the Cookeville goalie did in 02' to keep ooltewah from going to state. I have always wondered this stat: Number of PK's taken...Number of times goalie jumps foreward illegally....number of times ref actually calls a re-kick because of it.

wow, two comments on ooltewah's good sportsmanship; I guess curtis has really started building a class program there. Africanowl I said "like 92'" 93 is close enough lol. Ooltewah 3 Cookeville 0. Owls looked better in pretty much all aspects of the game. Goals by Lowe, Bajic, Spence. One nice PK stop by the Bus. Owls State Bound first time since like 92' Good Job guys!

Its been awhile since i've seen a StayNskool post. Hows life? yea the last guys to go to state was the 93' squad? maybe? but I like the way things are shaping up for this team...just have to show up every game no let downs.

First international male game perhaps. I went to a USA girls game in chattanooga Several years ago, and I got my ticket for this game! woot! Where is state being played this year?

I have been removed from the game for two years now, but my junior year the last game was played against a terrible team (to be nameless here). They had not scored all year even played 4 girls just to meet number requirements. We went way up and our coach put restrictions on us (score on a one time volley outside 18 or a bike). Limited touches too, they never sensed the change and we even designated a "fall guy" to let them score their first goal in 2 seasons. When they scored the excitement was if they had won state, their program has gained a little momentum and now have enough boys to compete atleast. I think the 10-1 was plenty enough to show we were good, while they kept some dignity, lifes not all about winning, you'll get that when soccer is done and real life begins.

They have had some injuries in preseacon, but they scrimiged us alums the other night and had everyone in their proper positions. Everyone seemed healthy and ready to go. Excited to see how this McCallie game (going on right now back in chatt) comes out!
