  1. Williams is a very talented kid. A four year starter, stands about 6'0 handles the ball better than any guard in TN(devasating crossover), and shoots it good from behind the arc. Plays relentless defense. Avg around 17 ppg and 5 steals. Team him up with Reginald Delk and they are right there with Hare and Pickel of Bradley, and Irvin and Pigram of White Station, for the best backcourt in AAA. I think fans that attend the game on Thurs against Glencliff will get a treat!!
  2. Jarret is more of a shooting guard. He is one of the top 3 shooting guards in West TN, by far.
  3. In rural West Tn I would go with... 1. Willie Kemp-Bolivar Central, No one gets more assist than this point guard. 2. Ramon Williams-JNS, led team to 25-2 rec., plays hard nose defense, avg 17ppg 3. Jason Black-Westview, 6'4 plays a little 2, but is the smoothest player in West Tn. 4. Rodney Chatman-Haywood, quick as lightning, led team to state tourney. 5. Dane Strayhorn-Halls, led team to state tourney 2 out of 4 years. 6. Henry Atkinsson- Milan, plays out of position, but is very explosive. 7. Antonio Mitchell- Dyer Co., is a good shooter and good defender. 8. Antwan Colby- Union City, plays with tremndous heart, above avg shooter. 9. Mack Gardner- Lexington, has high basketball IQ, and is a good passer.target='/a>, 10. Jeremy Wilson-South Fulton, quick as a hiccup and is tough on def.
  4. Thanks busyme, We actually anticipated more than the 120 kids that participated, but was still pleased with the turnout. There were so many kids that helped themselves yesterday. There were also some guys who came out of nowhere and made a name for themselves. There were also about 10 schools that were represented as well.
  5. Very many played well, but it was Nic. Doaks of Trenton Peabodyclearly had the best performance at the showcase. Gomab will is going to list all Tournamnet in the next two days.
  6. Many of the top 50 Gomab players in each class will be in attendance. Be the first to see diamonds in the rough emerge this weekend. What schools will be respresented?
  7. I hear that the Clarksville Magic has this kid by the last name of Pervis that is special? I think that they will play in Shelbyville this weekend. Other than that I really dont know.
  8. Jamont Gordon plays every position he needs to. He will be a Mickey D's All- American next year. He is ranked higher in some recruting services than Brewer and Tyler Smith, in their respective classes. He shoots, rebounds, and passes better than anyone in this state. He will give you a couple of sportcenter highlights. If Jamont scores 8 points he will still give you a show. So my vote goes to Gordon.
  9. I'll have to agree with you JcmJeff. The thing that impresses me the most about Ramon Williams is his unselfishness. He could easily score 25 a game, but he shares the ball with his team. He is very exciting to watch with his ball handling wizardry . He is about to give the fans a treat next week!! I think everyone will know his name after the Glencliff game.
  10. I know this is about Girls basketball, but any GC fans that has any connection with Jon-Jon Roberts, go to the boys basketball board and look under the sticky thread about the GOMAB Recruiting Showcase in Lexington, TN on Sat. He needs to be there. Please pass the word to him or Coach Harshaw. The kid has a chance to be very good. College scouts will be there and of course GOMAB, who ranks high school basketball players in TN. Sorry all posters about the change of subjects, and good luck to the Lady Pioneers.
  11. Coach AG, I have a stud Guard for you. Talk to C.C. about it. Then get back to me!!
  12. Clarksville Magic will be pretty good this year. They have a couple of Studs, or should I say future stars.
  13. There will be recruiting services and a few colleges on hand. The college coaches will get a recruiting profile from the showcase. We can not give out a list on the colleges until closer to the showcase. Thanks, and keep the posts coming!! Also the showcase play a huge factor in the spring rankings of each class.
  14. Humboldt, Milan, and Trenton has a strong underclassmen group that can play college ball at some level. The Roberts kid from Gibson County has a chance too. Like Gomab stated earlier in his post, fans are more than welcomed. That way everyone can see all the big names that have been thrown around on the board all year. This is a can't miss event for kids that want to play college ball.
  15. There is still plenty of hoops left. By popular demand, fans are welcomed to the 3rd annual GOMAB Recruiting Showcase in Lexington, TN on March 13th. You will have the opportunity to see all the big names that have been thrown across the board all year. Or be the first to spot that diamond in the rough that no one knows about. Make sure that all the top players from your respective school shows up, so you can be well represented. That way if your guy isnt getting the pub you think on the GOMAB prospect list, they can make a name for themselves March 13th. State Tourney Teams will be evaluated during the State Tournament!!
  16. Good Season Dawgs!! Atkinson, and Dotson, really need to be at the showcase in Lexington. Especially Henry because he hasnt signed yet!!
  17. Pat Summit was at the Cheatam Co vs Loretto game in Montgomery Central last night..sorry
  18. Actually Jackson NS will catch the loser of White Station and Fairley. White Station beat Ridgeway by 3 points. Fairley beat WS in the city finals a 2 weeks ago, so this will be a great game. Whoever has to travel to Jackson will have a tough game ahead.
  19. Im a huge UK fan. Its very evident that Tubby doesnt get the blue-chippers anymore. He has a great class coming in, but hasnt had a stellar name since Carruth. I cant argue with his ability to win games with minimal talent, but getting guys the caliber of Gordon will put you over the hump. He is the type of guy who could make the jump after 2 or three years of college. So your right why take the chance, but recruit of hiscaliber might just get UK over the hump, and get out of the sweet 16. UK cant score this year. they play great D. They need guys who can come in and score points night in and night out. Jamont can do that right now in the SEC!!!
  20. C'mon metroman. What does He is a fierce competitor. He plays the game the way everybody wants it played. Everytime he steps foot on the court he gives you your moneys worth plus some. Anyone would take a chance on a kid like that because it sells more increases the universities revenue. With a tough coach like Tubby Smith, he could learn to adjust his attitude. Look at AI everybody said he had an attitude and no one game him a chance. He went to Georgetown, and John Thompson changed him. He still can be a little arrogant, but he is one of the worlds most popular players. This day and age we cant label kids and say they wont make it now because of their attitudes. We all know it can use an adjustment, but he is only 16 yrs old. He has so much growing up to do. I have a feeling that Buzz Peterson is going to take a chance on him, if he qualifies. And if anyone says he cant play at Oakhill because he isnt good enough hasnt seen him play. He is more ahead of Ron Mercer at this point, and Ron was a Mickey D., All American. Bottomline Jamont is clearly the best talent to play in the Volunteer State in years.
  21. Gordon can easily be argued as one of the best talents to come out of TN. Regardless of attitude, some of the things that he can do with a basketball are unreal. Too bad you couldnt go catch him tonight. After the summer he will be a top 5 player without a doubt. Its like watching a grown man play in a pee-wee league against 7 yr olds. Keep a close eye out on him though. I hear he likes UT alot! Im a UK fan too, that wouldnt be good for the cats..
  22. No its not too late to sign up for the showcase. There are still spaces left. You can register through e-mail coachshul@yahoo.com
