  1. as much as I would like to complain about the game, I realize that it is just that.... a game. A game that frankly, doesn't even matter. Farragut beat us 3-1 in overtime. CXongratulations to all Farragut players, most of you are full of class and I respect all of you. let's all calm down.
  2. once again, I'm gonna see what ya'll are thinking about tomorrow's game.
  3. my mom handles the ticket sales for Bearden soccer and we made over 5,000 dollars on tickets alone. Working it out, it comes out to be about 1,700 people. That doesn't include people who jumped the fence, other coaches from around TN, the refs that were there for the refs meeting, and people with sports passes. All in all I would estimate a good 1,800-2,000 people were at the Bearden/Farragut game on Monday. Quit possibly the biggest game ever played in Tennessee..... that rivals most football games at Bearden.
  4. Seldon, you wouldn't happen to be a father of a particular farragut player would you? you're being kind of harsh on us ALL, not just Bearden players, but to anyone who has to say anything about the game. I knwo I haven't made any excuses, and none of my team mates care about coacht. what's the deal?
  5. while Bryan is an excellent thrower..... his balls loop quite a bit, which is easier for me to collect if they are close enough to me, maybe even far out and not a lot of traffic is in the box. Britton is very dangerous because he can bullet the ball to the back post. None of Bryan's made it past the front post except for that goeal that Dedrick scored.
  6. lay off of Britton for the red card already. and about this category.... two goals were scored off of throw ins, one by Bearden, one by Farragut. how do you judge who is better?
  7. I believe so..... should be if everything goes as planned: Disrict Finals. Regional Finals. and then sometime in state....maybe even the finals
  8. I think the way they have set it up this year, we have the opportunity to play Farragut three more times this year.... I think.....correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. no, it's fine you rushed the field, it's a huge victory in front of a huge crowd. I was just stating that I was waiting... I know you would have shaken my hand Doyle, you're above that. But you're still the man, and you've earned the victory
  10. what ever happened to class? I'll tell you where it went, I think Jared Britcher took it all from the Farragut fans/players. Who saw Jared celebrate after the game? I didn't, I walked to midfield and shook his hand while I let him know he was a class act. I waited right outside the circle of fans to disperse before I went and shook the Farragut players hands. While I am sorry that I was not able to shake the Doyle Brother's hands, I want to tell you guys if you read this, you took it to me. You own me Aaron. About the Britton comments.... lay off of him. If you went to Bearden you might just be able to show him a little bit of respect. What a game, what a game indeed.
  11. my bad on that last post, I meant to put by my very own right midfielder..... [Edited by dawgskeep01 on 4-21-03 3:17P]
  12. well, I have a lot to say about that McMinn County game against Bearden, which took place...... last year. First of all, we had a goal called back due to a quite controversial call, and your goal was scored by none other than the right midfielder. I'm sorry, but a game that took place last year has no effect on this year's JV team
  13. you're right, Paddlefoot. I suck and I'm probably not going to be able to hold them to zero goals, much less 5 or 6 goals. What are you trying to accomplish?
  14. alright Seldon, you got me, now what?
  15. predicting a shutout is not trash talking. I just want a shutout.... but of course, so does Heins, and Fuller, and Mottern.
  16. if u ask me, everyone on here just needs to shut up about the game and come out and be ready to play on Monday, I know that we are just feeding off of what you all say about us, giving us no respect whatsoever, acting like you guys own us... maybe come Monday night you will..... but untill that game, we still have u guys by the neck. 9 in a row? maybe, just maybe. stop talking trash, everyone.
  17. I'm definetely gonna have to trhow a vote out for Farragut's JV team, they beat our JV team 4-3 in a really great game which all of us Varsity players really enjoyed watching.
  18. of course I play for Bearden, dawgskeepo1.... is it not clear? Why can't you be more like my boy Jared Britcher anyways? he does no talking whatsoever, but he gets it done out on the field, he's one of the best players we have in Knoxville next to Ian, Derrick, Herb, and Victor. Take a lesson from a member of your own team.
  19. I think paddlefoot has a little problem with everyone that doesn't go to Farragut, sorry to all those out there who oppose him. To think that we cancelled the game fo any other eason other than the weather is almost ridiculous. I would be willing to bet it wasn't Turner who called off the game, but it was instead the head principal at Bearden, Dr. Kanipe. Field conditions were awful and the field would have been shot for the rest of the season. Do you guys think that we will practice before Monday? because I know we're not, and for you to say we're unprepared is downright dumb. If we were, don't you think we would have pushed it back farther so we could get more practice in? Just making my point
  20. I can't even believe you are saying they delayed it because of "the weather"
  21. the game has been rescheduled for Monday night at Bearden starting at 7:00.
