  1. What are Macon's chances to make the playoffs?
  2. RBS 8-2 in their region, thanks for the laugh. In order to be eight and two(or 5-5) they would have to play 3 non region pansies and travel 3hours plus to get their and they would have to beat two of these three(Friendship, Gordonsville, Trousdale)and the likes of Monterey, Watertown ,Clay Co.and Mt Juliet Christian. RBS. As far as naming a new head coach, I know Coach Boles, and If he thought a new coach was the answer ,he would step down tomorrow. But until the team gets more athletes and more coaches that know how to coach football, it will be same song, different verse, even with a new coach, because the administration will not hire quality coaches and enough of them for the school at RBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. RBS hasn't won more than 3 games since the late 70's. As someone posted earlier, Head coach and 1 assistant will not win you any games. With 25 players they need at least 2 more coaches. RBS will never be any better until the administration gets behind them and hires more coaches. Lack of support will cause anything to crumble!!
  4. Since FCS has G-ville and TC after RBS, who will they rest during this weeks game? No reason to chance a freak injury in a game that their freshmen and 8th graders could win.
  5. RBS had a volunteer coach during the spring and most of the summer, but he was "lured" away by Macon County High to coach their junior high.
  6. He is the Director of school and wants nothing more than to do away with the program. He is pretty much expected RBS to build a program with basically no weight room (unless the one they have has made major changes in the last three years. With only two supplements coaches, a practice field that is old pasture land tha is on a hill side. A former coach there actually was able to get a lot of dirt donated to fill in part of it a level it up some but it still slopes about 10-12 feet from left to right. Kids dont want to play for a program where everything even looks crappy. Put some money into the program and make it look like it means something to the community and it will begin to mean something to the athletes in the school because the school has some talented athletes and some fine young men that could help turn the program around. By the way, 699 is the prefix, 666 is Lafayette. AMEN brother.
  7. I am very close to the program at RBS and I would have to agree with you that coaching is the problem. But the problem is not the current staff, it is the lack of coaches on the staff. Coach Boles has only one assistant and he has to come from a school on the west side of the county, which means he doesn't get there until one hour into practice. On friday nights, they have noone in the booth and it is impossible for a sideline coach to tell whats going on without an eye in the sky. It is almost unheard of this day and time that a team with 25+ players only has 2 coaches. If you ask me vey few people in the community and the school system support or have ever supported the football program at RBS, even when they did win a few games. I for one think the coaches at RBS do their best under the conditions they have to work in. Hang tough coach Boles and better things will happen.
  8. Macon will unleash their aerial attack on TC this friday. Cook had Kirby playing possum with those short passes and the receivers were droping every other pass on purpose. Macon will be lying in wait with fly swatters(swift receivers) and bug spray(long, accurate passes) to rid themselves of those yellowjackets.(win the game). Tigers24--Jackets17
  9. How have the mighty Macon Tigers been doing in their preseason play? There has been very little talk in town or on coachT. Just wondering if anyone has any info.
  10. RBS has an additional assistant coach who should help alot. Last year, the head coach pretty much had the team by himself during the first hour of practice because his assistant had to come from the other side of the county. With the new assistant and the transfer of the current assistant to RBS school, the Bulldogs will be improved over the previous season. As for the won-loss record, I suppose people have to have something to talk about , but they don't dwell on it at RBS. They just work hard, and live with the athletes that have the guts to be football players.
  11. I don't how many Christmas tournaments you have attended at RBS, but if you were a regular,as I am, you would know that Lafayette only turns out in large numbers if their teams are playing RBS. Otherwise, they don't bring as large a crowd as Hermitage Springs. I do not think the tournament will suffer without MCHS, as they would like everyone to believe.
  12. If you were as smart as you think you are, you would know that each team that plays in the christmas tournament gets a cut from the gate, so if MCHS did nopt play they would be hurting themselves and the other teams, not just RBS.
  13. It has been "officially" stated by the RBS principal, NO RBS-MCHS game in 2006-07.
  14. Not if the rumors flying are true.

    Size of Gloves

Is there a limit to the size of a fastpitch fielders glove? Any help would be appreciated.
  16. Poor swanson, have you been left out of the loop? Could this be on purpose?
  17. Not without White in the line-up. This leaves the RBS bench very thin, especially if Dozier gets into foul trouble. I say Purple Tigers by 5.
  18. Who will be the new coach ar MtJCHS? Can anyone tell me who has applied or who the front runner is?
  19. Who will win the game of the downtroden? Neither team has won in two or three seasons. Their only common opponent so far this year has been Clay Co. Does anyone have an opinion on this one.
  20. Where are all he Clay Co. fans and why aren't they talking about our dogs and the game with the RBS red dogs? Clay Co. should dominate this one from start to finish. Clay Co. 45- RBS 8
  21. I just hope it is not Kirk's shoulder Seriously, I can't see this game being very close unless the Bulldogs are distracted by all the homecoming activities. The black and gold has better athletes and is more physical. I don't think that RBS will be able to contain our guys on offense or defense. Clay co. should be able to rest their starters the 2nd half in preparation for Westmoreland. Go dogs Clay Co. 45 RBS 8
  22. Kirk is going to be limited with another shoulder injury and Campbell appears to have been roughed up(not to mention the turnovers) the last two games. So.... if Clay Co. is to roll they will have to do it with Richardson, Keys and Miller, that is if the line will block.
  23. FCS is the best that money can buy. They may be better than last year but as the saying goes the rich get richer and...........................
