  1. RBS had a player ejected last week, I believe it was #35. If he doesn't play it will make a big difference in the game.
  2. I have heard rumblings coming from RBS that their QB has left the team and others are soon to follow. Why would a kid abandon his team with only 4 weeks to go? Does the QB play any other sport, if so what are the school rules about quiting one sport to go play another? Hope RBS can recover>
  3. Now that RBS has exhausted any real chance of winning a game this season, where is all their support on coacht? If talking a good game helped, RBS would have ay least 4 victories now. Games have to be won on the field by players and coaches, not on boards such as coacht. Fan support is important, but they have to be supportive of ALL the coaches too, not just the players and a select few coaches. It certainly has been a NEW DAY at RBS, but the results are still the same.
  4. Sounds like the RBS fans are becoming just like Macon Co. fans. They are blaming the coaches for the loses. I understand this is not the coaching staff you had in mind when a change was made, so how do you figure you can force the administration to hire who you want when it didn't work last spring. RBS fans need to support the coaches as much as you support the players and maybe the wins will come.
  5. What will be the outcome of this years contest? Last year LCS was putting up big numbers until RBS slowed them down . Will they be able to do it again or will it be a repeat of last week when Clay Co. put 437 yard rushing on RBS ( most of that was a freshman) and 66 points on the board?
  6. After all the hype and hoopla from the RBS fans, they seem to have been quieted by 66 points from Clay Co. I suppose they are looking for a new coach after the things I heard at last nights game. Seems to me they are getting what they asked for, because the ones that are now complaining are the ones that asked that last years coach be replaced. Now look what a mess they have. Maybe they can join the MCHS faithful and find a 2 for 1 coaching special.
  7. You still at Watertown, Time to play. Don't worry about muffin, he wouldn't even let his son play football. imagine that!!!!!
  8. Can RBS pull out a win within their remaining games? Looks like LCS or MtJuliet Chr. will be the bulldogs last chance for a win this season. What does everyone think?
  9. Well, well, well. Seems you have a high school coach running pee-wee plays and I saw yesterday a pee-wee coach running high school plays. Imagine that!!
  10. You are right Homer. Teams play harder against RBS than they do any other team because NOBODY wants to be the streak breaker. RBS should get their QB back this week, which could spell trouble for Jackson Co.
  11. Coaching at Macon Co. is a no win situation. There have been numerous coaches that have been successful at MCHS and were ran off because they didnot play the "right" kids. Seems like Coach Cook has tried to play the game of politics(the others would not play)with his players as well as his coaches and it has gotten him nowhere. Until the administration(principal and director of schools) gets a backbone and tells the public(pee wee coaches, parents and supporters) that it is the coaches program to run as he sees fit and there will be no outside interference, the program at MCHS will continue to flounder.( If you don't believe this work just look down the road to Trousdale and Smith counties) The same holds true for the MCJH program as well. And before you ask: yes I did play football but not at MCHS, I am not a coaches son or wife, I am just a concerned citizen who sees potential in the MCHS program if WHEN A COACH IS HIRED, LET HIM DO HIS JOB!!!!
  12. What are the Bullsogs chances against the Tigers Friday night? RBS didn't do so well against a weak Pickett Co. team and Gville is 0-2. Will a wounded Tiger be too much for the Dogs? Let's hear from the RBS fans that were so vocal last week.
  13. The fans of RBS sure think they have a winner in Coach Baughn, and I hope they do. In my opinion the verdict is out on the coach until they have played a few games. I realize RBS has done well in the scrimmages, but those are not real games with a total of 4 quarters. The players for the most part should be experienced enough to handle Pickett Co., if the right people get to play. Sure do hope that Coach Baughn doesn't fall victim to the politics game that is affecting the other school in the county. Good Luck!!! RBS-18 PC-12
  14. There is someone who wants the job, but the parents and the QB club don't want him. They want someone who will listen to them and play people where they want them.(sounds sort of like the school up the road). The supporters of the RBS football program are hurting the team by this delay. These young men need someone in place now before they get discouraged and begin leaving the team. My advice would be: hire a qualified coach, let him coach the team, and support him and all of the decisions he makes (whether you agree or not)
  15. Word in REGIT country is, they are going to hire from the existing staff. My guess is Scott Baughn will be hired as the new head coach at RBS. I sure hope that they know what they are doing. I think personally they should hire Coach Cook. Look at what he has done for our program. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> He could maybe bring some players with him to RBS and both teams would be better off. My only hope is the powers that be can hire someone who will turn the football programs in Macon Co. around once and for all.
  16. If you wonder who these people are, just look at the coach who was fired (or forced out) in 1988 or 89. The same group of parents and players that wanted him gone are now grandparents and parents of players under Cook. The cycle never ends as long as the administration allows it to happen.
  17. Give Cook a little credit for not being stupid. Rode home with team. Quit, not kicked off. Leave the team alone and let them finish the season.
  18. If you ask me, they are singing the same ole song at Macon with the 2nd generation of singers. No coach is safe at Macon as long as reality has passed the parents by. They have had some very good young coaches in the past but they did not play by the parents rules and were ran out of town. Some of these head coaches and their staff have gone on to be successful at programs not nearly as rich in tradition and supposed talent as Macon Co. The biggest difference has been the parents interference. If Coach Cook resigns, who in their right mind would take the job? Maybe they should be coached by a committee of parents, pee-wee coaches and bleacher bums. This way they have no one to blame but themselves.
  19. Hotdog, sounds to me, you are just a Lafayette Tiger fan who is afaraid that RBS will have a little success. Also I believe from your comments, you do not know Coach Boles or his staff. Coach Boles coached at Loudon High School in the 1980's and the had winning record both years, going 11-1 in one of those seasons. Coach Goolsby was Assistant at T-ville Ky in the 80's and thy went to the playoffs both years with winning records. Coach Baughn coaches at Mt. JUliet and played at Gallitan each year with a winning record. The only Coach on their staff without having coached or played for a team without a winning rwecord is a Tiger alum(imagine that). Seemes to me you had better get your facts straight before you start laying blame for the situation at RBS. the problem with the program at RBS is with the former administration. They haven't had more than 2 coaches fulltime coaches in the past 4 years until now. Plus how do you know the effort given by the RBS coaches? Are you at practice each day or you like most Tiger fans that can't believe any Coaching staff works as had as theirs. Good luck Bulldogs and I hope you win more games than my former beloved Tigers(for those of you without a clue REGIT is a backwards tiger.
  20. Well, well, well. If the tigers are running the wing -T,Coach Cook and his band of merry men sure are a bunch of hypocrites. I have personally heard them belittle Coach Boles and the RBS team and others for runnig that offense. They have said you run that offense when you can't run anything else. So, what does that say for the upcoming year for the Tigers? Is their talent pool in the senior class so shallow that they have to bring in someone to run the offense? Will they try to teach the wing-T to the Senuiors or will they just let tthem play defense and go with an underclassmen offense? Sounds like there are several unanswered questions in tiger town. Stay tuned. I know I will.
  21. RBS has five seniors that start and have won 2 games. They haven't even been close in their losses. When will Owens start playing his bench to gain experience for the future?
  22. Would Coach McCoin be willing to go to Clay Co. and repalce Coach McDaniels? The CCHS fans are wishing for the glory years of the 70's and the 80's. Could McCoin be the one to lead them? He sure needs to bring his son with him where ever he goes. Clay Co. would be a good fit for McCoin and his son.
  23. The article on the front of the sports page was totally uncalled for. Controversey about the blowout last year had finally died down and now the Kreager has stirred the pot again. Furthermore Satterfield, who had a fit last year when questioned about the classlessness of his actions, should have declined any comment. Instead he tried to explain his actions with halftruths. I would like to have heard what the RBS coach had to say in this article, but I imagine he would not comment. The Tennessean needs to leave RBS football alone for a while.
