  1. When you say side? Do you mean sideline? As in the bench?
  2. To settle this, why don't we just get the opinion from someone who was at the game and was also playing in all three of those games. I'm not the one who likes coming up with excuses for why things happen, but Mcminn only scored two of those goals because we did sub out our whole defense with freshmen. I even got so upset with that decision after they had scored those two quick goals that I yelled at my coach and was benched for a little bit. Oak Ridge and Mcminn (in my opinion) were about the same, the Houston game was much harder than the other games. but this is just my opinion.
  3. Notice the quote wasn't not from you but from lion, that means I am saying lion and tonymontana are trash talking.
  4. maybe this is why we have lost to Bearden twice. . . we are too busy coming up with lame trash talking on a computer.
  5. I was also trying to figure out why he took out his starting keeper during the shootout. Although it was a sad ending for Maryville, it's the way things should have ended. Though Maryville had a few opportunities, Farragut possessed and had many more chances of scoring. It was still an ugly game to watch, but a fun ending.
  6. last time I checked havent was spelled haven't* and tought was spelled taught*.
  7. this is a message board, not an essay. mis-types like that are allowed. besides...is that the only thing you could come up with? a spelling error? Farragut 3, Maryville 0
  8. And where is Heritage (AAA) in the midst of all this?
  9. Umyphatcow, your remarks make me laugh. Dave...Beasley? Coby? Josh Wolf? That is the biggest joke. I have heard Dave say that so many times to me, and every time it makes me want to slap him. Dave doesn’t know jack about soccer. Once he did a session with our team and he did the weirdest crap for drills. We all started sneaking out of the practice, going to waffle house because it was such a joke. And about not being able to get noticed by colleges from your club and high school coaches, it’s probably because you guys blew. Any team that is halfway good can get a look from colleges, it just depends on what tournaments your coaches take you to or how good you are, everybody knows that. The reason why your coaches couldn't get you anywhere is because they may have stunk, your team may have stunk, or maybe you just stunk. Don’t ever compare Dave to Turner and Culbreth, that’s just a joke.
  10. I'm sorry, but you have graduated from high school and you still train to be the best? Are you playing college ball or are you just playing for Dave Goldsmith? I know more than you think, but it doesn't matter cause nobody else on this thread cares about it. I just want you to know that I think you are wrong about how most coaches "these days" are lacking a passion, only to be state champions. The only coaches who are striving for these goals are the ones who are capable of doing it. Of course Culbreth and Turner are working their players to be the best (state champs). They each have two titles, what other goals can they set? A winning season? Those are for the schools who have had losing seasons (and there is nothing wrong with that goal). If there is a school who never made it to regionals, maybe their goal this year is to advance to regionals and once they hit that maybe their goal moves up higher, like going to memphis, for the next year. The point is once you reach your highest goal, like a state title, what else can you shoot for? especially if you have a team who is capable of achieving it again, like Farragut and Bearden. Besides, before you bash these two coaches, do you even know them personally to judge them? Also, anybody who says that they only eat food to survive so that they can play soccer must be crazy. Food can be pretty dang tastey. Have you had bread pudding at Famous Daves?
  11. Whys so much anger umyphatcow? I may have been jokin around in my other posts, but hear me out...enjoy life. From what you have been saying (bashing Farragut, Bearden, and players) it seems like you need to work on your attitude, you have so much hatred built up. The type of attitude where you could get dropped by someone. Im not sure about the rest of the people on here, but I know who you are. It's not a threat at all, im just letting you know that you need to work on that negativity of yours...that or your spelling. The point is something has got to be fixed.
  12. Sorry, but are you sure Aaron said that? It kinda makes him sound like a pillow biter.
  13. First of all I would like to ask, who is Culbert? I know a Culbreth, but no Culbert. You remind me of my days in Nam, when Charlie would always come out of the bushes in an all-out sneak attack mode, yet always unprepared. You were unprepared my friend. Unprepared in your knowledge of coaches, and of the game. You see, Farragut and Bearden have two state titles each in the past five years, because of great coaching. Also, last night Farragut did a good deal of shots outside the 18, their problem came (near the 18) when they wouldn't pick up their heads and look for a run from another, or a run wouldn't be made for that person to play it to them. Therefore they would be stuck with either a shot way too far out or attempting in beating 3 defenders. Their problem isn't their talent, its their attacking in the last third of the field. Once they get that they will be fine. I have no worries. Congrats to Bearden and me.
  14. It all went down to just going out there and giving 110%...letting the chips fall where they may. I believe Farragut wanted to play good, hoped to played good, but in the end they didn't play pretty good last night. We should all be thankful for times like these, times where we can kick a round ball on opposite ends of a field in hopes of it landing in a net. Nam was a little bit different. It was more like dodging round balls on opposite ends of a field in hopes of not ending up in a net. The point is Farragut needs to create more opportunities for themselves, they possess well, but they just don’t give themselves the right opportunities. Congrats on Bearden, you didnt get too many opportunities, but when you did you put them away, well... more than Farragut did.
  15. You guys can start calling yourselves the number one team in the state when YOU ARE the number one team in the state....you know, by winning state.
  16. It should be a good game. I'll finally get to make it to one of the Farragut games this year. Gunther. Too bad its on a crappy field with hardly any seating. I'll say Farragut 1 Bearden 0. I dont know what went on lastnight with Farragut, but from what Lion and Radius said, they better get that attitude of hating to lose soon. Taint. Otherwise it will be a sad season for Farragut.
  17. With they way Catholic wooped up on Farragut, I would probably put them a little bit higher.
  18. does that mean that tnfc blue is the varsity of the two squads so to speak and tnfc white is not quite as talented
  19. the smart money has to be on the two finalists from last year---the knoxville fire and the memphis dragons, but a few other teams have very good chances of winning state this year
  20. rob morrow is racking up goals for Farragut with almost 30, and jarred britcher is right behind in with like 23
  21. both teams could have played better.
  22. I dont own you josh and I would have shaken your hand if I had seen you.
  23. yea we just haven't beaten them in 9 games, the first one was started by a tie. but they have beaten us 8 times in a row.
