  1. Kyle Shannon, Hilliard Baker, and the freshman from Bolivar.
  2. you get an answer to this I sure would be interested in knowing the intelligent answer if there is one
  3. Milan can not blame the officials, only themselves. Milan beat Milan, with help from a solid CC team. I am from Milan and have seen the same people do the same dumb things all year. The difference is when you play a solid team like CC, you get beat. Coach Morris has a lot of work to do with the brains and discipline of SOME key players, to make overachievers out of them. SOME key players have not shown the pride that it takes to go far in the playoffs yet. Hopefully they will. If Milan played CC again, and played the way they are capable of playing, I think Milan would come out on top 7 out of 10 times, but the way they played Friday nite CC would win 10 of 10. Good luck CC, GO DAWGS!! PS Is the FLETCHOA the fletch I know?
  4. I do not understand the term "forced" please explain, who is forcing the changes?
  5. It will not be long until Milan once again moves to AAA, as the enrollment in the total Milan system went from 1650 last year to 2000+ this year.
  6. class A Halls, Trenton class AA Dyer County, Haywood, Fayette Ware, Southside, Milan, Bolivar, class AAA Dyersburg, Northside may have missed some
  7. Have not seen CC play yet, but still know theya re for real as P.A. does a great job. The difference for Milan is going to be Daylon Walker. So far he has been inconsistant as a reciever, punt returner, kick off return man and blocking. If he would bring a workmans attitude to this game, Milan would win. however if he brings (i am the star attitude) CC will win because of it, as he will make crucial mistakes. Other than that Milan is pretty solid and I'm sure CC is also.
  8. Last time these 2 met in alamo it was one of the best high school football games I have ever been to. It should be no different this week, with both being undefeated. No predictions here but get there very early if you want a chance at a seat. Even thugh CC has a nice facility with plenty of seating and they even brought in extra seats last time, It will be overflowing 1-1/2 hours b4 game time.
  9. Milan should win 11AA again. Lexington 2nd, Camden 3rd, Mckenzie and then Riverside. Milan returns PG Kyle Shannon 5'9", post Justin Cagle 6'10", wing Franz Seyerle 6'3", 4 man Rod Smith 6'2", wing Nathan Hulling 6'2", wing/pg Henry Adkisson 6'3" all who at one point started for Milan last year. Added to this group will again be a deep bench with Chad Grimes, Marlon Dodson, Johnathon Hutkins, and others. Lexington does return a lot of key players and should be very competitive in all games and will win several. Camden also returns many players, but still lacks quality depth. Bain is outstanding, Martin is solid, Sims and Reed are also solid. Mckenzie and Riverside will struggle.
  10. I realize this is not Mid state but Milan has a good PG in Kyle Shannon who was injured most of the year last year. He will be an impact player this year along with Southsides' Hilliard Baker.
  11. I guess I am incorrect in my thinking then, that part of a refs job is to control the game when a players safety is involved. Also how do you get a kid to respect an officials call , when in one league the same official lets things go and in other games he doesn't. Is that not called consistency? From what I hear on this board a little consistency would not hurt in todays games.
  12. call independent leagues with a mix of high school teams and adult teams as a high school game is called?
  13. who I read went over 5000 yards in his career this week with 278 yards rushing against Memphis Southside.
  14. You may be correct but don't count out Trenton and Mitchell just yet.

    Westview

Westview will be solid not great but solid. They will struggle with Dyer County, Obion, & Milan. Should beat Union city, Gibson county. Don't really have the rest of their schedule so it would be difficult tosay how many games they will win.
  18. I have a couple of questions. 1. When and what are his liscense suspended for? 2. Was he driving the bus this summer with players on it with a suspended liscense?
  19. thanks DH for the mark. PS do you know Crystal I think it is. She is from Milan, but lives in Holenwald now I think. May have something to do with a tucking firm.
  20. Good point DH, but you do not leave the 1st unit on the field until the end of the game with a 3 or 4 touchdown lead against the losing teams 2nd unit. Milan was down last year and it remains to be seen how strong they are this year. They are better and will be strong for the next few years it appears, but Milan will be remembering last year, trust me.
  21. Daylon dropped at least 4 passes I can remember, still had over 100 yards rcvg though, and also dropped 2 punts and caused Coach Morris to use an unforced timeout because he loafed back to the huddle after he dropped a pass. He would be better if he worked hard in practice every day. He has loads of talent but has a terible work ethic. That is why he is and will remain inconsistent until he grows up. He has time as he is a soph., but he better grow up quick for Milan to succeed in the playoffs. Milan improved and got the bugs out in the 2nd half and looked much better, but the 1st half was sloppy with several fumbles and dropped passes a shanked punt, and a missed FG. Played well in the 2nd even w/o Rod on offense. GO DAWGS
  22. Milan will win as they will seek revenge not for the loss last year , but a little runup in the score
  23. Milan played sloppy offensively great defensively.
