  1. I'm sorry for saying you; I meant Bearden. You are the only person that I've heard that has said Bearden is THAT much better. The score was only 1-0 in this game until the last minutes of the game, so I don't think Bearden could possibly be that good.
  2. Seldon, while I agree with you about how Bearden dominated the game with no feeling, I have to say that there is only a little difference between you and Brentwood. Bearden is the better team, but the only reason is because Brentwood has young forwards that aren;t that great at finishing, as a matter of fact, there team in general is poor at it. If not for that, they would have scored 3 times the goals.
  3. There is no recruiting in A/AA soccer, then only thing that is close to that is giving financial aid in DivII, but thats not even that much. Don't make excuses for why you lose to other teams, because I'm sure that is not one of them.
  4. No, I don't play for Centennial, and no, I didn't make any excuses for their loss. All I said was that they put in two different backs, and Bearden scored right away. You can take it as coincedence or not, but thats what I heard from the game. Donna-Muller is the only one who said anything about bad calls and as she was at the game so I take her word for it. I know about this team because I know people on the team and I went to most of the games so I saw them play. All I did was say how I thought they were, which is very good.
  5. Yea, unfortunately, that doesn't happen a lot in Middle TN. That's one of the reason why East Tennessee dominates school soccer....there teams play together all the time. No excuses though, they are very good.
  6. I was just wondering if the people playing school in Knoxville also play club ball together. . I;ve heard that, but I don't know if it's true.
  7. I'm just not likin the wishbone like I did last year. Since Bates runs like a bull charging, I assume he will be getting less carries and more blocking, because the kid is powerful. Last year Tracy got the most carries, but Tommy was also a great runner and would get the ball almost as often. With Tracy gone, it leaves Tommy as the lone "Tail Back" and Bates as more of a fullback. This takes some suprise out of the attack. I wish I could have gone to the scrimmage to see how they performed.
  8. I don;t know his name, but I know who you're talking about. I saw an 87 team play the Dragons a couple years back, and that kid scored i think two goals.................but when he was pressured early he usually folded under the pressure. Very fast though.
  9. The problem with Centennial throwing the ball is that they have yet to train a quarterback to throw more than give it to the running back. Besides, the only throw they did last year was a little post route to Brandon last year, and that only worked once. I don't know if they even have more than 3 passing plays in their playbook. As for the Wishbone, Bates is good, but he is no Tracy Beech. I do not think the wishbone will be as effective this year as last year. Meggs should probably try another position, because he won't get the catches per year that colleges look for. With Taylor Scott being the #1 Quarteback, I don't see them going deep much.....I could be wrong though.
  10. "If you ask me, CHS really came prepared for a much tougher opponent than it battled today..." If you ask me, if Bearden was unprepared and they still won 3-0, there wasn;t much of a battle at all.
  11. Donna, you're right on in saying that sometimes it's goof to be lucky. I know everyone is giving you a hard time, but you have to understand that it's hard to take your complete analysis seriously when you're son is on the team. It would happen to any mom, it's nothing personal. Besides, Andrew is one of the best on the team, and on of the classiest as well.
  12. I'd like to congradulate Centennial on a great season. They've showed a lot of heart this season, as well as a lot of class. It's too bad that they couldn't pull one more off, but it was a good run. As for the Bearden game, it's dissapointing that they couldn't get one in. From what I hear, the handball was a good call, but I wasn't there, so I won't take sides. Anyways, goodjob this season, and Ryan, thanks for the phone call buddy, I'm sure vairetta or Pat was up to giving the number to you.
  13. No, there are two overtime periods. IF niether teams score, they go into sudden death. Look at last years final between Bearden and Clarksville on tssaa.org for proof.
  14. Hey, guess what? The game is over, and both teams are now out. Forget it.
  15. Oh, I don't know, maybe people who WILL BE PLAYING. Don't come on a thread and diss it, how would u like it if someone came on a thread u were deep in and said "who cares". I see TNFC 88 in the finals, then either MFC or Knoxville.

    Farragut

He doesn't even need insults, he just needs the score. Thats the biggest insult I can think of.
  17. All I know is that Houston won 4-2 in Overtime.
  18. Ok, I found out this information from a parent of Centennials..........................The score was 1-0 at haftime, with Bearden scoring on a free kick from right outside the box. The second goal was because the coach took out Centennial's two outside backs and put in two other players, and Bearden scored right away. The third goal came from Centennial moving up their sweeper to play offense for a chance to score. That's all I know, I'd like to know more if anyone could tell me.
  19. Do you have any specifics on the game?
  20. What an upset..........Farragut wins 8-0. Seriously, its on the scoreboard.
  21. LOL, yea, If no one could stop him, he'd be playin in Europe for Real Madrid right now . What are some predictions for this game?
  22. Hey, no one ever told me what select team that Aaron Marraco kid played for. I'd kinda like to know, since he;s supposed to be pretty good.
  23. The Centennial Bearden winner would go on to play the winn of the Columbia Bartlett/Collierville game. I have not heard much from the last two, except that earlier in the season Bartlett beat Collierville 3-0. Columbia is a pretty good team from what I've heard, the best they;ve ever had. I believe Bearden is more talented than anyone out of these teams, and I think Columbia and Centennial are around the same skill. You could say the other teams are "weaker", but then, Centennial was much weaker against Hendersonville before the game, and look what they did.
  24. umm...Chs failure, this is the State tourney for Tennessee.....so out of state teams won't be competing.
