  1. Thanx Irish, I knew Herbstritt and Upshaw were good when I saw their 50 combined goals. What a coincedence that both defenses are weak on the left side. It should be a very good game. I'm gonna hold off my prediction till game day.
  2. Who won this game? It was tonight, right?
  3. Speaking of FRA, that is a team to watch out for. They have a fantastic team this year. It should be an interesting bracket, well, at least half of the bracket

    Farragut

3-0 Farragut. Just too dominant for Mcminn Co.
  5. Well said chsfailure, but I just want to tell Hendersonville that they did play a good game. Contrary to what others have said, luck is present in these games. I'll tell u this, when Centennial scored 3 goals early, that wasn't luck. But there were other times where Centennial was lucky, but there were a few times you were to. But a great game by both teams.
  6. First, I wanna say how good it is for the problems on the boards to be fixed. Ok, now I just want to know which teams for club are going to the state tourney in June. Please put the team's age group by the team you are posting. Thanks!
  7. With their Wishbone offense, a lot of the time their plays may look like trick plays, but they runn them at practice all of the time.
  8. Columbia can defintely win their game, and I think Centennial, if they play well, could pull off another great upset.
  9. Centennial's big time player is #19, Ryan Mattison. He has very good ball handling, he's fast, and he's strong. Also watch out for Patrick McFarland, he's another threat. On midfield, Andrew Muller, #3, is good at passing the ball around, as well as Will Barlar, #7. Their defense is pretty good, with their sweeper being the best one(Cal Long, #18). Also watch #4, Drew Manning, to sneak up on you. The keeper Patrick Lazear is one of the best sophomore goalies in the state, if not overall in the state. Overall they are a good team. If you find the weak spots of the team, you can do damage. #12, Eric Koenn, is good from the air, but he doesn't have the expierience to take on a good offense. If I were Bearden I'd pressure him(he plays left defense). When Centennial's midfield pressures the ball, they can be deadly. But against good offensive teams, particularly Brentwood, they seem to try to play to defensively overall, causing them to move back and back. This will let Bearden's midfield push up as far as they want(almost). It would also be smart to move outside defense up, because if Centennial is squished in their defending half, they will move all but one player to help defend. But I wouldn't take too many shots outside the 18; Lazear will eat them up. I think this will be closer than most people think. Centennial, when playing well, can minimize their oppenent's offense to almost nothing. Hopefully both teams will show class like they have all year, and this will be a very fun game to watch.
  10. Ok, Mrs Muller, I have to generalize the midfield, because the midfield should work as a unit at all times. I don't think you should talk too much about being dirty, because I recall a certain Centennial player kicking a Franklin player when he was down, but no matter. When I say lazy, I do not mean that they sit on their butt and watch tv all day. I don;t mean they play lazy the whole game. When I say lazy, I mean not willing to go to the ball. If anything, Andrew is a little overagressive, but he is one player that I always see hussle. I mean the midfield AS A WHOLE, not just one player. FRAsaves, look to see who started this post. It was I, a fan of Centennial that started it. A true fan accepts weaknesses as well as strengths, and to pretend Centennial is perfect is ludicrous. Andrew Muller's work ethic is as good as anyone else I have seen. Centennial's desire to win Saturday night was of something I have not seen out of them this season. But once again, I will say that if they want to defeat Bearden High School, midfield AS A WHOLE has to make sure to pressure the ball all 80 minutes. I know they can do this. I never tried to diminish any of these players. If I had control of an ODP team, I would select at least 5 of these players, if not more. The only way, however, to get better, is to find out what you do weak and improve upon it. If I said Andrew Muller was lazy, I apologize. You misunderstand what I mean, so I will say it once more. When Centennial's midfield pressured the ball early, Hendersonville became frusterated and lost focus. Centennial played brilliantly for 30 minutes in the 1st half. After the 3rd goal, it seemed to me that the WHOLE of the team laid back on the pressure, and this caused attacks from Hendersonville. It's not all midfield though; on the contrary, it is a team game, and other parts of the teams come into play. Goodluck to Centennial at state, and I hope you do well.
  11. Ok, we get the point, hh1 did not credit Centennial with winning. But he doesn't need to, because like it or not, Centennial won.
  12. Thanx, now what were key things Farragut did to beat them twice? And what did they do wrong the third time?
  13. Whenever a team works all 80 minutes, they are always a force to be reckoned with. I wish good luck to everyone at state this year and hopefully everyone will play 80 minutes hard!
  14. If they really are the #1 and #2 teams in the state, it will be a shame, but oh well, we'll see who comes on top!
  15. Maybe he flips a coin or something, who knows.
  16. Hey, sauza, he didn't ask to hear your unreal ranting about them. he asked about strength and weaknesses. Sorry, it's hard to tell sarcasm online, your tone of voice is so monotonous.
  17. Hey, I just want some information on Bearden's team. I just want to know the standouts, as well as the role players that still do their job. I know you're good this year, just want a little more info. Thanx!
  18. I think these upsets are the best thing that could happen. This makes teams so much better, as well as making the state of Tennessee a better place to play soccer!
  19. Donna, stop being defensive about your son, he is a good player. But I tell you in brute honesty, laziness has crippled Centennial at times this season. This was not the case in Hendersonville MOST of the time, but there were exceptions. You're blinded by being a mom for a team; stop being a mom for a second. and be a fan. Any fan of the team can see that when midfield does not pressure, bad things happen. And yes, I was a player on Centennial, and I know how the team works. Yes, you are in state, but don't expect to get far if midfield does not push up and pressure. I did not say they didn;t play offense, but there are times they are too tentative to the ball. Also, don't make excuses about the refs. The refs were pretty good at the last Brentwood game, and you still managed to get shut out. In conclusion, I am very proud of Centennial. They have done a first for the school, and they have made me proud. I wish for the best during state. I'm out.
  20. ummm...........looking at ure schedule and results, ure not going to just waltz to state finals. I don;'t think any team in tennessee could compete in the world cup........ever.
  21. Hey Bhs, do you want to know why those teams are not there this year? because they lost Brentwood and Clarksville lost to Smyrna, Gallation didn't even make it out of their district, nor did Franklin, and Science Hill lost to Farragut. Traditional powerhouses always fall eventually, and if you don;t win, you don't make it in. Simple as that.
  22. Very true, hh1 admitted that they were looking ahead in last night's game.
  23. Go to tssaa.org to find out all the information.
  24. From what I heard, Centennial had 5 touchdowns. As for the fight, I hear that Centennial wanted to fight all along. That shows no class, and hopefully they will do no more of that.
  25. retired coach, A bit sexist, arent we? Cmon man, she made the call, that's her job. If anything, you should be mad at the center for not overruling the call, and he was a man, wasn't he?
