MTDirtDog, please come out of hiding and tell us more about him! Baseball is a game of execution, not talent. From what I heard, this years problems seemed to be more failure to execute than anything. 7th inning errors, failed attempts at sac bunts, basically not coming through under pressure. These things make the difference in winning and losing, not strong arms and fast feet. Baseball is full of successful, but less talented athletes.
As far as getting a pitching coach, I thought their coach was a pitcher himself? I also thought he even played a couple of years of pro ball. Why would he want to bring in a pitching coach?
