  3. The state has changed their rules again, last year it was the finalist and champion that would go through, unless a team in the state had won the premier league then they and the state champion would go through. Even if there was the room for a third TN team to enter the premier league the state decided that they would only put two teams in. This year they have changed it, on the boys side at u-16 there are 4 teams from TN in the premier league and 3 in the u-18 age group. While this might be good for those teams, it also means that in the div 1 state league at u-16 only the top two teams can qualify for state.

  5. I will go with a Brentwood v Farragut final, both semi's going into overtime.....cant really decide who wins it all!
  6. Is UCSoccer tinman (I think that was his name) Red headed kid, used to play for the Crush when that club first got going???? If so was a hellever player even as a small kid, I remember coaching against him in 2001/02 and he was by far the best u-13 I had seen. Always worked his butt off and gave 100% every time I seen him play and if he was playing he was worth watching.
  7. Number 1 seed gets 4 picks. 2, 3 and 4 seed get 3 picks. 5, 6, 7 and 8 seed get 2 picks. Congratulations to all players and Coach Watson. Good luck to all players who are Seniors moving on to your post High School life.
  8. Games postponed until Thursday.
  9. As far as I know (got an email somewhere from TSSAA, that I will try to find) if you are a head coach or an assistant for high school you can not coach any players who play for the high school you coach at, during the fall season of travel.
  10. Independence has 4 freshmen starters and 5 freshmen and 4 sophmores on the 16 man roster, anybody younger than that?
  11. Getting interesting in 11 AAA. Big games coming up the next couple of days. Thurs - Indy v Ravenwood

  13. Thanks to the coaches and parents from Oak Ridge for the Tournament, fields were great and competition was spot on....Refs were ok but to many silly fouls called. Cleveland looked very good, big, quick team who attack very well with numbers, the best team INDY has played so far this season. Science Hill were better than there record shows OR had a great showing CBHS - I heard dominated a lot of the play but struggled to score.
  14. G, you have far to much time on your hands....LOL Actually Cats chatter not squirrals "When your cat sees a bird outside, you may notice it opening its mouth and making a weird, rapid series of meows. This is called chattering, and cats do it in response to any potential prey that they see, You usually will not see cats chatter if they are outside or somewhere they can actually get at the prey - then they are silent and will begin stalking it. "
  15. So quite a big game for the US men tonight right in the heart of Tennessee at the LP field in Nashville. Now I know it is a school night and Soccer is not that huge a sport in the State, but to be honest the marketing for the game has been non-existent. I would imagine there would be a good size crowd there maybe more than at US v Morocco a couple of years ago (26,000 +), but unless you are in the soccer 'community' most people have no idea the game is even on tonight in the local area. Have US Soccer made the decision to just go after what they have and not try to entice any more 'non' soccer fans, how has the game been advertised / spotlighted in your local media? p.s. Anybody going tonight?
  16. Independence 4-1 over Hillwood with some of the worse refereeing I have ever seen.
  17. Ravenwood 5 - 3 over Franklin.
  18. Anybody know if this game is still on tonight
  19. Independence v Hillwood cancelled tonight. Indy hoping to be able to get their game against Grissom played on Saturday
  20. Great job once again MJUHB, was going to say hello at Tullahoma on Friday but was not sure who you were, I thought you were Ritchie but tried to point you out but couldnt see you.
