  10. In the North East I think DB could be very strong this year.

  14. Didnt hear much about it as I was at the Div I tournament in Smyrna held the same weekend. One thing I did hear was that at the younger ages there was quite a few teams who should have been playing Div II.
  15. From the Db soccer website: ANNOUNCEMENT - JULY 16 Coach Shane Calvert has accepted the position of soccer coach at Dobyns-Bennett High School. He comes to us from Morristown West High School where he was the boys coach for the last two years.

TriCitiesSports.com June 4, 2007 KINGSPORT -- Long-time Dobyns-Bennett soccer coach Bill McCloskey has stepped down to accept a coaching job elsewhere. A search is under way to find his replacement. "We were very fortunate to have had Coach McCloskey run our soccer program for the last 14 years,'' said athletic director Cary Daniels. "We wish him nothing but the best in his new coaching position.' It is unclear where McCloskey will be going. An announcement is expected later. McCloskey had a 178-114-39 record at D-B in boys' soccer and a 242-101-33 record in girls' soccer. His girls won nine region championships, won a state title in 1995 when they were ranked No. 6 in the nation, were runners-up in 1994 and made the Final 4 in the state in 1993 and 1998. He was the TACA State Coach of the Year in 1995, 1997 and 1998 and was selected Region I Coach of the Year in girls soccer 10 times and in boys' soccer in 2007. In boys' soccer, his teams made the state's Final 8 in 2001, 2002 and 2003. He won five conference titles in boys' soccer and won the girls' title eight times. 18. The u-17s will be TNFC Blue, KFC, MFC, PSA, Ultralions and Eastridge. some teams still have games to play and need to get them played. MFC will play KFC in the first game at 1pm on Saturday so that will prove if MFC are ready.
  19. u-14 - TNFC (won the R3PL) or TN Rush u-15 - This is the most open group in the tournament, East TN, Eastridge, Gryphons, TNFC, Memphis, TN Rush anybody could win. u-16 - Should be Kickers or KFC, but could be a surprise from Middle TN u-17 - TNFC or KFC, MFC and PSA may push them close but they are a level below u-18 - Could be anybodies, depends which players are really bothered.
  20. Seniors - Would agree with TJ, would also include Moises (IHS) and Wally Dant (BHS) Juniors - Ben Gaines (INDY) Bradley, Danny Rayburn (BHS) Will Moorad (Ravenwood) Matt Reed Charles (Father Ryan) Zander Sophmores - Chad Roberts (IHS) #14 for Brentwood Michael Gio something Not sure if Tomi for Brentwood is a Sophmore or a Junior Freshman - Tyson (Centennial) Nick DeS (Brentwood) Nick Dykes (IHS) Wouldnt agree with all the shelbyville boys, except maybe Dylan Reed.
  21. Should be a great game, passionate as usual. DB and the Hill both have maybe two of the best freshmen forwards in the State in Weaver and Geno and they have both scored a boatload of goals. It will be close, but the big game for these two teams is not until Saturday, can either of these two teams beat the Knoxville powerhouses?
  22. Matt is very good player. I have been very impressed with Wally Dent from Brentwood, he man marked Moises from Indy and Will from Ravenwood in their regular season games and completly took them out of the game.
