how did the scrimmage between Oneida and Union Co. go today?

CPA vs Riverdale will be about as interesting of a matchup as any game ive ever seen.

although you may say CAK played Coalfield close for only a quarter, that quarter just about lost Coalfield the game. I believe that CAK and Coalfield will be on the same level of competition this year as they were last and will battle for the second spot in the Region. Oneida will also compete for a spot but they have lost many key players due to graduation and i dont see some of their players stepping up and beating Coalfield, CAK or Greenback.

warrior, i completley agree with you. males, unlike females, have the desire to beat the man across from them as bad as they possibly can and if that involves having a splitting headache, getting cuts on your legs and arms or maybe even hurting yourself worse than that, men will do whatever it takes. i dont know if any of the players hear their coaches say "get mad". now in the real world going and beating up people at will isnt socially acceptable.and thats why football is so great. you can get out there and for as long as practice or a game takes you can beat the snot out of the person you dont like or you just feel like taking it out on for as long as you feel able to. i honestly believe that football is a game where you can keep all the anger from the day inside of you and then once you step onto the field you can unleash all that anger and frustration and thats why the coaches tell you to get mad. girls on the other hand dont have the same killer instinct that guys do. and while you may argue that girls could be physically able to play the game of football i believe it lays more in the mental than the physical. girls dont have that same killer instinct that men do to whip the man(or to be politcally correct, person) across from them. and thats why girls shouldnt play football.

i think that CAK is a contender. they might have only won 3 games but with the exception of the Catholic, Greenback and Webb games last season, they were into the game until the very end but were hurt by inexperience or lack of depth. against Midway they were tied 14-14 at half but got run over by Big Joe Harmon. against Asheville, then freshman TB Trey Bowland fumbled on the 1-yard line at the end of the game. Sunbright, Oakdale and Mt Juliet Christian the combined score was 133-0 in favor of CAK, against Coalfield CAK lost a heartbreaker with Coalfield winning 17-14 and against Oneida CAK led Oneida 10-7 going into the 4th quarter. i dont see why CAK cant be considered a contender but they will have to win a game that isnt against a weaker opponent before they are truly a contender.

id say theres always the chance that Temple could be good though. they have many athletes at that school(just check out the basketball program). so dont count them out although history usually says that first year teams are not very good.

im sorry AusDan maybe you dont know what an argument is but obviously youre just trying to make myself and other supporters of teams that you find inferior mad. so just move along to topics that concern you and youre vast knowledge of high school football and leave us peons alone.

UCPatriot, i believe that CAK is on the level of Oneida and Coalfield. Oneida lost alot of key players from last season and Coalfield barely pulled out a game against CAK last season 17-14 when the OLine botched a screen play that wouldve given CAK a touchdown. realistically i think that CAK is the #2 team in Region 2A and could even put up a fight against a really good Greenback team

well if you dont think so then i think that you should really just keep it to yourself because it makes you sound like someone with no life when you just go around saying how bad other teams are. why dont you just go create a topic about your school and see how many people bow at your feet.

AusDan i think you should defenitley stay away from topics that you know nothing about. putting down teams that arent as good as your own is just stupid and a waste of everyones times.

i believe Union Co. beat CAK 6-0 when CAK had a third string CB in and a WR just jumped over him. from what i hear CAK defense looked really good other than that one play.

some of these ratings are completley ridiculous.

as the first week comes to a close id like all players, parents, coaches and fans to tell me how their team is looking and if they are working their butts off out there to get better before the season starts.

im sorry Sevier Co. fans but the purple just doesnt intimidate me.

are they going to be able to run the veer effectively? it usually takes quite a while for a team thats never run it to learn it.

its cool turboman, just have faith in your players. maybe they just werent ready for practice. they still have about a month and a half before the first game and im sure that theyll get things together. just keep your enthusiasm because even though people say youre always cocky about Cloudland taking it all, its refreshing to see a fan with your kind of attitude towards a team.

its true they do make some very good stands but they arent a very good offensive team. the only reason they scored alot last year was because of Big Joe Harmon and we all saw what happened when he went down.
