can someone tell me something about Midways defense. everyone thinks that theyre gonan be really good on the defensive side of the ball and i dont know much about their players except for Packy Woods. can someone help me out with this?

i also agree with Dane Christman, i saw hes on the pre-season all state team and he has every right to be. was he all state last season?

Packy Woods from Midway is an excellent LB. Taking over for John Allen will not be an easy task but i believe he can do it.

oh i havent forgotten about Austin James thats why i said possibly. we will just see who does better this year. and good idea about stopping the trash talking and waiting till the game.

trashtalking is stupid though because as much as you think youre gonna beat coalfield you havent proved anything yet. tradition is important but this season is this season. the series could be 0-0 for all i care. this year is whats important. whether wartburg beat coalfield 100-0 or 2-0 last year they will have to deal with a very good coalfield team led by senior QB and possibly the best one in his region Ricky Lowe. dont trash talk. talk is cheap but we will see game night. if you beat coalfield talk all you want but until then stop because its childish.

i agree with bubba and jacket that this is coalfields year.

guys just calm down, there is no point in arguing over this. i understand that this is a good old fashioned intercounty rivalry but there really is no reason to argue over something as stupid as this. why dont you just wait until Wartburg and Coalfield play and then let the winner talk smack. until then it just sounds childish to argue. and coalfield has my respect also because they are a hard working bunch of boys.

what happened tonight for the Webb passing league, went over there to watch and no one was there. was it rescheduled again because of the rain that happened earlier in the day?

i didnt expect you to put down a bunch of CAK or Midway kids as the best this and the best that and if you check my list i didnt do that either but some of your choices were just a little hard to swallow thats all.

BHS, what do you think of Allen Carlin? hes been teaching the boys at CAK alot about defense and their defense will be pretty good this year. I was just wondering if he taught you boys alot over at Bearden as well.

okay guys i dont see any reason to argue over this. if scott and oneida dont play, they dont play and you guys cant do anything to change that. and about oneida not playing anyone? correct me if im wrong but didnt oneida hang with one of the powerhouses of east tn 1-A ball in greenback? i guarantee that greenback could beat scott co. and NaS youre last comment wasnt trivia, it was fact. until scott high and oneida play each other, we will not know who the better team is so there really is no point in making each other mad over it.

did Oneida take any key losses from graduation? i know that CAK only lost their center, 2 receivers, a cornerback and a defensive end all of which are being replaced by stronger, faster and just all around better players.

i agree with BUBBA that the CAK-Oneida game will be a close one but CAK just seems to have an edge this year with so many skilled players. what are your opinions on these 2 teams Farmboy?

as much fun as trash talking is, i think it should be pointed out that 4 scenarios could be played out in the situation that you guys seem to be arguing about. Scenario 1) South Pitt and Cloudland both lose before they get to play each other 2)South Pitt makes it farther than Cloudland. Scenario 3) Cloudland makes it farther than South Pitt. Scenario 4) both teams make it as far as it takes to play each other and then this trash talking can be settled. Until then i think that Rodney King said it best "Cant we all just get along?"

Oneida always fields a good team there is no doubt about that, but i just dont see anyone beating the Warriors in 2-A except the 'Kees. Oneida vs Coalfield will be for 3rd place.

youre nuts NaS. how can you say that last years #2 team stinks? they did come close to losing a couple games like the CAK one but still they are a very good team. Ricky Lowe is a very good leader and a very good QB. dont bash good teams because then you sound like an idiot.
