  1. My hat is off to you because you are a member of a very small selfless group. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Rutledge is definitely the class of the district!!!!!
  3. Get your degree and coach the team! I imagine that you would believe you were doing a satisfactory job, but I doubt it would be unanimous through out your community. It's easy to complain and belly ache, its hard to put your own time toward something to help fix it. May be you could offer to coach a travel team for you community in which the girls would be together playing all summer. May be you could raise money for the team and be unselfish enough not to ask anything in return. There are thousands of ways you could help in a positive way other than doing what you are doing. I would say just by what I've read on here, that you are about the same or worse than this in your community talking about coaches and more specifically in this case, the administration. It really sounds as if your problems with the program, coaches or administration are of a more personal nature than a specific concern. That is one of the problems with A LOT of programs through out America. Not enough selfless help and too much unneeded selfish criticism. Believe it or not, the latter actually hurts new applicants from pursuing that particular position.
  4. Your saying all this knowing that you would love to be in region 1 with them. I pose a question as well. Did Fulton win the state champ. that year?
  5. Oh, There is a comparison between Cannon and Delmonico and Delmonico. Cannon is much better, without the big time name of his dad.
  6. Tyler Cannon-Pigeon Forge Tony Delmonico- Farragut
  7. No doubt that Lee Hammonds the OC of Gatlinburg-Pittman High School is amoung the top assistants.
  8. Actually guys/gals the regulation high school girls shot is 4 kilos. I think that is somewhere in the 8.8 pounds. I just wanted to add that, becuase there really is a big difference in that .8 pounds, at least to my girls.
  9. The students name is Woodruff a 2nd yr. runner for them, he is a senior this yr. Took 2nd in the 100m, won the 400m outright, and won a tight race in the 200m. Good kid too.
  10. GP will come to play in thier traditional style. A six point loss to county rival Seymour will not make matters better for Hampton. Gatlinburg-Pittman 35 Hampton 7
  11. How about that stud Flipper Pearson. An absolute animal on the field and off.
  12. Mr. Cross did not leave here to be a head coach he is just a coach as I understand it. The new system and all the new dicipline in our program is really refreshing. The kids love it and the community love it. More and more people want to get involved with PFHS now that everything is different. Coach Ryan is the reason for all the new excitment around the city. He knows that he is the head coach and understands that the title doesnt make him better than anyone else, just with more responsibility. He very rarely deligates and when he does everyone knows that he really does need the help and is more than happy to pitch in. That was obviously not the way it was in the past. The old military saying goes something like this, "A leader leads from the front." That is exactly why the players and the staff at PFHS will follow Coach Ryan anywhere he wants them to go. And show a heap of character on the way there.

  15. That is pretty good depending on whether you throw in A-AA or AAA. If in A-AA that would have put you in the state tourny last yr. At least in our regional meet at gibbs. [Edited by pfhscoach on 4-25-03 12:49A]
