  1. Now that I've seen all of the remaining teams play in the region I am going to have to choose Maryville to win it because of the way they handed it to us last night. They are a dominate team and whoever #44 is just a true player. My prediction is a Oak Ridge vs. Maryville match up with Maryville taking it if they play the way they did last night. (At the beginning of second half they had only missed 3 shots)
  2. should be a great night for basketball and congratulations to 3 out of 4 of the girls teams out of our district that won last night. have another powell game hhsbball12
  3. mocs, I also like the way you can predict with eaz. Even if you do not get the game correct you still have a good reason on why you have predicted them. If Dixon is hurt against Bearden I do not see Clinton winning that game, but if he is healthy (which I think he will be because who miss the oportunity to play in this game) then I don't think that bearden can keep up with the tempo of Clinton. Halls and Maryville should be a well fought battle and hopefully Halls can pull that one out. I think Powell will win with fairly easily even if Snoderly is there and will end up playing Oak Ridge in the second round for a dousy of a game. Powell Oak Ridge Halls/Maryville-I don't make predictions for my team I think it's a jinxx Clinton if Dixson is healthy
  4. What are your alls predictions for this region tournament (1)Powell vs. (4)Heritage (2)Farragut vs. (3)Oak Ridge (1)Bearden vs. (4)Clinton (2)Halls vs. (3)Maryville
  5. "Halls scored twice in the last inning to beat Gibbs, 7-6, and Gibbs held on to beat Knox Central 3-2 in the first two games at Halls on Saturday." Note these games are JV.

Where is the Farragut and Ootlewah scrimmage at and what time does it start.
  7. It's time to get crazy. The one that counts. Both teams are going to be pumped. The question is who is going to bring their A game. Hargis choked in the first 2 meetings and I just don't think he is that good under pressure. Even though every one knows how hard it is to beat a good team 3 times, just ask Oak Ridge, I am still going to take Halls. Powell isn't going to forget last year when they beat us both times during the season and then we put them out of district. Halls will be prepared and Sharpe will handle Hargis and I think Cody May will do a great job at the post if he doesnt get into foul trouble. Should be 2 great games tonight with 2 of the biggest rivalries in the state.
  8. I like your prediction but everyone knows that the game will not be that high scoring because of the defense both teams play. Go Halls!
  9. DB should have a great team this year like they did last year especially only losing 2 starters that werent that big of contributers. The only bad thing is just like last year in the sub-state they could see teams like Halls, Farragut, South Doyle, Bearden and so on. Jefferson Co. is also suppose to have a good team this year so they might even see them in the region semi finals. Good Luck to you all and hope to see you or some one else in sub-state.
  10. Last nights game between Karns and Halls was a good one but Halls was pretty much in control the whole the night. Karns' zone defense gave Halls trouble at first but when sharpe started penetrating and everyone started crashing the boards they couldnt stop them. Both of tonights game will be good ones. I havent seen Clinton play much this year but the one time I did I was impressed with the speed of their guards. Even though Powell handled them pretty good last time I dont see Whitt letting this one slip out. Even though Halls is on only so much sleep I still seeing this game being close. Everyone knows how hard is to be beat OR at OR, but tonight might be that night. Im guessing OR hasnt played in about a week and might be a little rusty. Last meeting halls was down by 1 with like 4 minutes remaining and we had 2 or 3 sick players. If halls can keep the Turnovers low tonight and are able to beat the press I see them winning this one tonight and playing Clinton and championship.
  11. I think it will be a well matched up game with both playing good defense. I think May will take on Smith just fine because at the first meeting May held Smith to only 10 points and both got into foul trouble early. I think Sharpe can take Hargis 99 times out of 100. If Halls shoots well from the perimeter I think they will take it no doubt, but if they don't they could be in trouble. If they play like they did in the first half last time it will be a loss but if they play like they did in the second half it will be a victory. It should be a great atmosphere to be in and a great game. Halls by 1
  12. I never knew football was a game of excuses even though I think these reasons why both your teams played awful against Halls are not very good ones. Both games were over a week and a half ago and I'm tired of the whining. The outcome of this game will not even be close in Maryville's favor. They have way more weapons than Powell does. Final score of the game 35-7 Rebels.

    Halls @ DB

Jeff Lockwood will be starting for us and he is left handed and throws low to mid 80's with a pretty good curve ball. Relief will be Daniel Larsen who throws upper 80's-low 90's with an average splitter. We have decent hitting when we come to play. We have 8 players that are on the baseball team that play football. The majority of them start but you never know what can happen. How about a scouting report on you all?
  14. Spencer Turner will be on the hill for us tomorrow against the Admirals. Should be a good game. Hope we can get some good bounces here and there and play here in the sub-state. Everybody knows anything can happend in baseball. Wish us luck against the ads and in substate against DB or Greenville.
  15. Spencer Turner will be on the hill for us tomorrow against the Admirals. Should be a good game. Hope we can get some good bounces here and there and play here in the sub-state. 16. Bizazz and HV, I would also like to thank you all for making most of the posts this year about the games and everything. You all are 2 or the more intellectual people on here and I hope you all will still make posts next year when your sons are gone. Wish us luck against Farragut and in the Sub-State.
  17. In my opinion, I can see from both perspectives. I can see where gameday would think sd has seen better pitching and will be ready for lockwood, but i can also see that sd lost to powell and when sd went up against those good pitchers they only scored 2 or 3 runs at most. I seriously believe these teams are about equal. It should be a great game. Whoever shows up mentally ready to play will win this game no doubt. Who is sd going to be throwing. I'm not even sure if Lockwood is starting or not. We'll see then though. Good luck to all.
  18. who will come out of district 1 and 2
  19. 3-AAA Tournament Champs-Knox Halls Runner up-Karns 4-AAA Tournament Champs-Farragut Runner up-South Doyle Region 2 matchups South Doyle at. Knox Halls Karns at. Farragut
  20. All i know is for South Doyle to get out of region they will probably have to beat Halls and that is going to be no cakewalk.
  21. lol, it seems you all have beat up on each other over there in 4-AAA.
  22. I do believe Powell has Plumlee in store, but on any given day anybody can win. How many days is Chester on? Still should be a good one. I might just show up for this one.
  23. 3-AAA 5/11 #2Karns(2-1) vs. #1Powell(2-1) 5/12 #3Halls(3-0) vs. winner Powell/Karns 4-AAA 5/11 William Blount(2-1) vs. Maryville(2-1) South Doyle(2-1) vs. winner WB/Maryville 5/12 Farragut(3-0) vs. winner SD/ winner WB/Maryville
  24. Who do you all think will accompany Halls and Farragut in region? Karns or Powell, South Doyle, William Blount, or Maryville.
