The reason that his post was deleted was because it had some offensive words in it. I have no problem with his comment whether they be positive or negative. But the rules of the website specifically state that there is no cussing allowed. Even if the filter picked it up you can tell what he means by it. This is not the first post of different posters that I have had to delete because of cussing. I would delete it no matter what school is involved. Speak your mind but let's at least keep it clean.

Sorry MeanJeanJr, there was a report earlier about that game. PageMan does a great job of writing up the reports no matter who is playing. Go a couple of pages back and look.

Ok....because some people like to take what was supposed to be a positive thread and turn it into an argument about who is who and what coaching involves and doesnt involve I am going to have to lock this thread.

Ok this has discussion has went on long enough and everything revelant has had time to be talked about. I am locking this thread down on behalf of some people that have requested it.

I havent had the chance to watch Jana play this year. I am coaching in Houston, TX right now. I hope to make it back sometime after the first of the year to watch her play.

I would say that she is getting close. Mary Beth was pretty good. She is a different kind of post than Berry was. They are both very great girls and very good athletes.

Oh definitely, I have been telling her that from day 1 myself. I told her that she would be bigger than Freed but sometimes you have to follow your heart and maybe just maybe her heart will tell her Freed. I mean Mary Beth Berry could have went D1 too. As well as a few others that Freed has had over the years. Can't a guy dream. LOL

Jessica Green and Freed Hardeman maroon and gold. I coached both of them at the Freed camp two summers ago. I still try and keep in touch with them and tease (kinda seriously) them about going to freed.

I was singing the praises of this team about a year and a half ago. These girls deserve all the praise for whatever this year (and the years to come) holds. It is still early in the season but like I predicted a while ago, this team controls its destiny on how far they will go. Good game Jana! I am sure there will be many more. I knew that you would be able to play like this. It is great to see such a great person acheive success. Never settle for anything less than the best! You deserve everything that you achieve in your career. To think that you are still just a sophmore blows my mind. Remember, I hope to see you and Jessica wearing the maroon and gold one day.

I am sorry. This exact subject has been talked about by coacht and the moderators and if we feel that a certain thread has the look of getting to be a negative thread then we nip it in the bud and lock it down. Usually I would just delete these posts totally. Nothing against Loretto but we are trying to be a positive atomosphere for fans, players, and coaches alike. I am sure not one coach wants anyone to come on here and find their "fans" second guessing them. Lots of coaches dont even like coacht because of the bashing that has went on in the past and we are trying to have preventive measures now instead of corrective measures. Sorry if I offended anyone with locking it. I just did not want it to get out of hand like it has with other threads. I have seen other Loretto coaching threads that started like this and turned ugly. Once again, it was just preventive measures nothing personal. Lets keep these boards positive about players and coaches.

This is no place for bashing of the Loretto coach. If you feel that way then you should tell her not everyone on these boards. I am locking this thread.

What were some of the stats for both teams?

I could not sit here and read this anymore. Coach Sharp is a great coach that is well respected all over the state. He has taken the Lewis County program and made it a contender every year. I have the utmost respect for him and the rest of the coaching staff. The things that he said in the paper are the same things that coaches in all classifications say. Joe Paterno and Lou Holtz are some of the best at it. I firmly believe that he did not have that to say in the locker room. Having been in that same locker room with that same coach, I would never question his desire or his will to win for Lewis County. Anyone that would question Coach Sharp after what he has done for the program in Lewis County has no idea what Panther Pride is all about. You have to understand what he said in the paper is common "coach talk". Proud_LC_Father - Where were you when coach was winning 12 in a row this season. Now you want to criticize when Lewis county loses? Remember only one team will end the season with a win. I live in Texas now and have just as much Pride in Lewis County as I ever had. This is the first year that I havent been able to attend a game since I moved to Lewis County in 2nd grade. I have keept up with every game via coacht.com. I am proud of the ways the boys have played this year. I think that the coaching staff got everything out of them that they could. They happened to run up on a more talented team last night. Congrats to Huntingdon and Good Luck against Milan next week. I am sure that will be a barn burner. Coach Sharp and the coaching staff - Keep up the good work. What school has had the most Mr. Football award winners? Who has had the most nominations? Which school, year in and year out, had produced the best talent regardless of classification?

I had 31-12 and there are some upsets I picked but some I look back on now and wonder what I was thinking. I could have easily been 33-10 or 34-9. Oh well, on to next week.

No disrespect to Cosby meant but how does a 1-9 team make the playoffs? Seems as though the playoffs might need to be scaled down just a little bit. Kinda defeats the purpose of having the best teams in the playoffs. Now on the other hand, if I were playing for Cosby or any other team that has a losing record in the playoffs I would be looking for someone to upset. Plus you get to play the great game of high school football one more time. Why not just rank the whole state football teams in their classification and have one big playoff no matter what the record?
