I think this has been one of the more impressive undefeated seasons for the Panthers because of their strength of schedule seems to have went up at least a little this year. I think they will benefit from this these next few weeks. Hopefully we can make a run at the Clinic Bowl this year with all the games at home and this stronger schedule. Good Luck Panthers!

No one every mentions Bobby Sharp at Lewis County. He seems to put a team together year in and year out that can compete on very high levels. This year I would have to give the nod to Coach Smith at Mt. Pleasant. There were some good coaching this year though.

Since Lewis County was playing at home I hope that they did not get upset. Usually a fan is on here by now posting a score when they win and if Harpeth won then it will be a while before their fans get home to post. Unless Don Haney gets on here and gives us an update.

We are private but I have not been a witness to any recruiting. The coach here has won more games than any coach in the Houston area in basketball. Maybe even in the state of Texas. Great coaching will bring in great players. Anyone around here knows that if you are a "player" then you want to go to Westbury Christian. The coach is Greg Glenn who played at Lipscomb when they won the national title. Great coach with a great history of Don Meyer basketball.

Where I am working now in Houston Texas has a junior class that is huge!! This is the same school that produced NBA first round draft choice Nudbi Ebi of the Minnesota Timberwolves. We have 4 juniors that are 6'8 or better. There is one guy that is about 6'9 from the Bahamas that is HUGE. He has size 22 shoes and works out individually with Hakeem O. formerly of the Houston Rockets. They have won 12 of the last 14 state titles down here. I love reading your posts donhaney and this thread has to be one of the best that i have ever read on coacht. Not because it deals with my panthers of lewis county but because of its sheer insight into what has been a storied program. Sounds like I am not the only one that thinks that your posts are uncalled for. I am from Hohenwald but have not been there in many moons. I am far away from Hohenwald and Tennessee for that matter. I didnt run my mouth in college about what I was going to do. I went to college and did it and now I am the coach that you dream about. Where are these promised jobs that you mentioned?

The Trinity team that you see mentioned on here with the qb named Brohm is from Kentucky. I thought I read earlier where you said you beat them twice (Perry). You even said that you remember playing him or something. Must be mistaken. I haven't been in Perry County in years. Is this year's team getting the fans excited at all? I know they get excited about basketball but never seemed to get into football much. Or at least not as much about basketball. I hope that they have a successful season and hopefully build the program into the powerhouse the basketball team usually is. Good Luck with your coaching future too, viking_te. i would venture to guess that it has something to do with them deciding not to be affliated with the churches of Christ anymore. Lots of their teachers were Christians and did not like that decision. Just a guess remember.

I like that idea CoachT. Sounds like it would be beneficial to the user only if they are the only ones that can see it. Keep up the good work and I wish that Texas had something like CoachT. Maybe you should branch out and make this a corporation!!!

Does anyone know what camp he is attending here in my new city of Houston. I have been telling the high school coach here about him. The school I am coaching at just produced a first round pick in Ndubi Ebi to the Timberwolves. I am coaching at Westbury Christian. I want to see him at this camp.

Has anyone heard on where this kid is going? I know that he is fast and strong, two good combinations. He has a world of potential that I figured would be drawing some intrest from some big colleges. Has he went to any summer camps or anything?

I just moved to Texas and was wondering what the name of that magazine is down here.

I would have to say that Maryville would have to be up there. They are always strong. I am being biased and know that they dont have the reputation but I would love to see Lewis County matched up against some of these teams. Maybe not be pretty but as an alumni I would love to see it.

One that comes to my mind is Trousdale. They seem to be "pretty good" every year. I think that they could hold their own on most Friday nights against some of the best in Tn.

I just graduated from Freed Hardeman and took a job teaching in Houston.

I am taking over a program that is young and inexperienced. That is including me the coach. Does anyone have any advice for websites or drills or videos that would make this coaching experience easier on me and my players.
