I think you're right about Hendersonville's seniors. They graduated 9 playing seniors last year (on the baseball field after their loss against Farragut). The group coming up should be young but I've heard they're pretty decent. Mt. Juliet looks good and I think that LaVergne has some good prospects. What does Gallatin look like this year?

Last I heard, H'ville's lead off still hadn't signed w/anyone. You're right about the two strike hitter. Best I've seen in a long time. The stuff heart attacks are made for....

How about two all tournament teams?

I think what most impressed me about Farragut this year was their hitting. Good sticks through all nine and the ability to read the pitcher after the first time through. A great team, and deserving of that ring....

We've got one that couldn't afford the $300.00 after paying to play summer ball. (We didn't know until it was too late...) Wish there were a scholarship thing.

Just a couple of thoughts.... 1. Why do they have the "dead period" during baseball season? 2. Football may be the "money sport" but I bet equipment, transportation, and incidentals like referees, field upkeep, etc. offset a lot of that. 3. I must work at a great school. Not only have I seen the basketball coaches at a baseball game, I've also seen 4 out of 5 administrators, several teachers with spouses in tow, and high school kids by the dozens. It helps to have a great season but its nice to have a good fan base. 4. It's sad that kids have to choose in high school.

You may be exactly right. It's skill, talent, intestinal fortitude, and just darn good luck that brings any of us to state. Some days you're the ball, some days you're the bat, and some days you're the Louisville Slugger. Good Luck to all who made it.

Heard that pitcher from Houston was amazing. And, of course, Farragut's no slouch either. Gonna be a great game both ways.

Saw that kid from Hendersonville the other night hit two against Brentwood. Another of his hit the wall so hard, there may be permanent damage. Their lead off batter went yard for three too.

In 9AAA, Beech, Mt Juliet, LaVergne and Hendersonville are still in it. Can't give game plans; I think they're on the ark with Noah....

Funny... I was under the impression that, in that instance, the game is a rainout and doesn't count until 5 innings are played (4 1/2 if home team was ahead....)

Hendersonville may play LaVergne @ White House 4:00 Thurs. but it's still tentative.
