  1. MRH has no class.....But back to the point....I'm not taking anything away from Mendena, he had a great season, and led his team to beat Kingston in the district and region. He was only a sophmore and the lack of experience showed. Toss around a few more names for you to think about last year.....Mills from L.C., what he lacked in dribbling his tremendous foot and senior leadership made up for, and Josh Lankford from Kingston, this guy came out at the first of the season and couldn't stop anything, but by the end of the season he was a dominant force in the Kingston backfield and his senior leadership was important at Kingston, for it was the only one they had. If you were going to go underclassmen, how come you didn't throw in Alan Knauth or Mitch Thomas last year, these two players were the playmakers for their teams. They made things happen. So know you heard my outlook on things. Mendena wasn't a BAD choice, just not the RIGHT choice.
  2. MRH, man that's pretty low, to come in when Kingston has had a good season, and all their seniors are down, and wipe the mud in their face. Yeah they got beat, and yeah Mike Day allowed three goals, but Kingston played there hearts out, and you might have saw the three Mike Day let by him, but I know at least two were break downs by the defense. Mike Day has had an awesome all around season, and he has more class then you, and he's going to earn his way into college by either football or soccer. Yeah, that's right, not everyones daddy can pay their way into a prestige h.s., and college. Man it's good to hear that your 4 thousand dollars a year private school got into the state, but what gives you the right to try to spoil the good season the Kingston seniors had. Your putting a bad name on Catholic. You better watch it, because I'll put money on it saying if the Kingston boys read this they'll take the Catholic game personal next year.
  3. I know it's a soccer board, but to come out like Harriman did with only about 5 players that actually can play soccer, and you'll be in the one of the hardest districts in the state. All i'm saying is you might want to get the players that want to play to go and play at Harriman. If you don't have a sport you can go to the next closest school and play it, so think about that.
  4. THe player that won it last year, Mendena. He's a good player, but he wasn't worthy of the award. All i'm saying is that the voting is usually and unfair way to choose. Last year Kingstons Steven Gillis didn't even make the all region team. I think the award last year should have at least went to someone who was a stand out player among the rest, and this year I think they pick a good choice.
  5. I ahve heard you guys are going to have a good team. You think you will take it all the way? If so you have a very good Oliver Springs team standing in your tracks!

    Alcoa

No worries L.C., Alcoa shouldn't be any trouble at all. I don't think they would compete in your district. Just get ready for the CAK/Kingston game. I think Kingston will overtake any mountain to play you guys again. Good luck L.C., and the way things are looking the winner of this region is going home with the state title!
  7. Rockwood players just need to play at Harriman intill they are comp. enough to be even a threat to win any games in the district.
  8. Awesome job Mitch, I wasn't taking anything away from Mitch, he deservadly got the award this year, I was just saying that the award usually goes to someone who isn't even a major part of their team. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
  9. Another epic battle of two great caliber teams. CAK was playing for much more that a state tittle last year, it was also playing for the last game of their coach, none the less they wanted a great soccer game and Kingston brought it to them. Might I remind all that Kingston was greatly under rated last year and came out with an early 2-0 mountain to climb. The battle between the Tylers didn't let us down though. Wright, who I would say won the battle, had a hat trick and led his team to victory, sending a very dangerous Tyler Johnson and company home, and running there great coach off to spain with a great, but some would also say a somewhat dissapointing season. Like the L.C. Kingston showdown, It will be of strange irony if these two teams don't leave us with a barn burning, action packed game. Good luck to both teams! P.S. Kingston needs to move someone very quick back to fullback if they have any intentions on stopping Tyler Johnson!!
  10. Oneida had a great solid club this year. You guys played the jackets well, there is nothing to hold your heads down about that....you lost in overtime to the team who went in triple overtime with the district champs. It could have gone anyway on any given day. You made for great competition in one of the most elite soccer districts in the state. I see nothing but good things coming your way in the future. It's hard to impress me, but i'll have to say you keeper stole the show for me. Keep up the hard work Indians, Kingston and L.C. will deff. see you again next season
  11. I just know when Kingston played them, they were the first team to do it, but then they fell 2-0.
  12. Thank you Kazam, might I also add that Kingston was(don't know if it still stands) the only team to play Brentwood to a 0-0 first half, and have you seen L.C.s' 20-1-1 record......If you have than Oneida wasn't one of the teams that L.C. got one of those wins on....so think before you post guys.
  13. Mitch had a very fine season, but don't assume he gets it. If I so recall the past season the player of the year haven't been, in my opinion, worthy of the player of the year honor. Don't count your chickens guys.
  14. I follow all of these district and region games, and it is a very tough district, but I do not know if it is the best in the state. You're right though, what other district can say that every close game they have had goes into overtime. The 3rd place game went in to overtime, and the game winner was with less than 30 secs. left. Then for Kingston to come out the next day, without hardly any rest and push L.C. harder than any team has pushed them this year is amazing, so saying these two teams are "mediocre", you might want to rephrase that a little.
  15. Meredith and Scarbrough from Kingston are going to be a great, they are already good, and now they got the coach to take them to the next level. I have been following these two throughout club and middle school, and now into high school. Meredith isn't playing this year, he transferd, something about family problems, but he'll be back next year, and watch for Kingston to be as strong as they usually are!
  16. Well Kendren I don't know about that....I went to the Kingston v. Harriman game, and Harriman isn't Oneida, but Kingston moved their old sweeper to center mid. It made their offense alot tougher, and their free kicks alot better. There were times when the Kington defense had falls, and a good team would put the ball away with that. Another thing good point in the direction of Oneida I saw was that Kingston is not a very deep team, but the starters they have are as good as any in the state, but wear them out and you got yourself a game. Watch out for #1 tomm. night, you might even want to double him. He had a big game, and I expect him to step up tomm. night as well. Good Luck to you Indians, and I will be there to watch this match up tomm. night!
  17. Man I hope you know what your talking about.....maybe some teams do that, but what player on Oneida is David Beckham? In order to push you deffense back like that, you have to have a player that has great skill, and can take two or three defender to his side, and make a play to his team mate, I hope Kingston gets dethroned, I would like to see Oneida take this one home man. I'm not trying to start anything I just don't think they have the skill to do it.
  18. I don't think it will be a very good match up to tell you the truth, because, like Goal20Tyme say now Oneida has to play to win, so they can't push 8 men back in the box. That means Kingston Offense will be more powerful now that McMillan is a forward with Wright, but we'll just see what happens.....what school are you from goal20tyme?

    Best GK in Tn

I have went up against some good goalies. The one from L.C. is too fat and too slow, but works good for the size he is. The oneida goalie has trouble getting the shots to the lower left corner. Mike Day for Kingston is amazing. He came out and cut off my angles, I had no chance against him. His only weakness is sometimes he looses control when he charges out, and that cost them a p.k. at L.C.

    Kingston

That's good to hear Ms. Meredith.....The way things are looking I would say that the blue crew would like to have you back for the game against Oneida, but better late than never. The answer to the question how I get my info. on Kingston....I know everything about East Tennesee soccer. I am the one, the only, the GREAT mas. Have a wonderful feast tonight against the wounded Harriman Blue Devils. Season looked good at first in till some players got hurt and there starting center mid would rather show the fans every move he has then pass the ball....thank you and good night.
  21. Couldn't agree more Ms. Meredith. Oneida hasn't showed me anything that has looked anything like an offense. You people are getting all worked up about nothing. Like when the T-Wolves went up on the Lakers 2-1, I mean everyone gets their brakes, but to say Oneida, who was only a couple of players that can compete with Kingston or L.C., will when against Kingston is out of this world. I wont take anything away from Oneida they are a good soccer club, but they aren't talented enough to beat Kingston or L.C. when it counts. They did shut out AC, but give me a decent D, and my grandma in a wheelchair could shut out A.C., so back to the point at large, as Soccer4Life said IT COULD HAPPEN, but I wouldn't count my chickens Oneida fans!!!
