  1. This is an unwinnable arguement for anyone who has a clue about offense sytematic football. Most of the poster on this board have absolutely no clue about an offense or defense other than what they've heard some talking head on the nfl network say. Then in an attempt to look intelligent and proove their importance to their respective team and the coacht community they get on here and spout off stats such as number of times the ball has to be thrown etc..etc..etc... Then inevitably another ding-a ling will chime in to back up the statements and the vicious cycle continues. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  2. Yes.... thank you jesus! Finally someone on here with a friggin clue. Ron's wing t is nothing like Wilson Centrals wing t and i dare say the last time I saw it, he was running more option than anything. Can you win running the wing t at the 5Alevel in tn? YES! If you can win with it in Georgia at even the 2A level you can win with it here at the 5A level, thats how much difference there is in athletes. Will we see a return of the wing t? YES! We are already seeing the return of the single wing before our very eyes. The next rung up the evolutionary ladder is the wing t.
  3. Wilson Central = wing t. The talent has been dispersed in murfreesboro. Its no longer Riverdale and Oakland. Towns like Smyrna have a huge advantage, they have feeder systems and know exactly what kids are coming. The wing t ( if implemented correctly) will serve riverdale well. Don't believe the hype! Within this system is power, misdirection, the ability to put four receivers into a route immediately, and the ability to run the option. Have faith, you have one of the best coaches in the state at the helm.
  4. The spread is nothing more than the single wing with little johnny standing out there with his underarmour shirt and snazzy wristbands trying to look fast. For Gods Sake.......Rankin won the 5A title numerous times running six plays out of the "I"! He who has the best athletes and best coaching WINS! Quit listening to those NFl idiots. Watch more navy.
  5. What about south pittsburg. Didn't they run that lame wingt? Goodpastures problems reside in missed oppurtunites. Alcoa could be in a power I and beat everybody in 2 and3 A.
  6. No, I mean when they played first round I wish there would have been a way for both of them to lose. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  7. I wish there would have been some way for CPA and Goodpasture to play and both of them lose. Thank God for Alcoa.
  8. Here we go again with GP fans claiming they dont have an unfair advantage because of Alcoa. Its amazing, seems like the only teams you guys can't beat are teams like Alcoa . HMMMMM..... wonder why? wonder what you guys might have done to try and fix that? Oh yeah, Maryville is 4A so they don't have to worry about it plus in some peoples opinions they are nothing but a public school getting the best from both blount and knox counties. Kinda like you guys.
  9. No, unless your a complete moron you would never think that a private school doesn't have an unfair advantage. Don't really care how you shake it out, they just do. A split is coming everyone just needs to be patient. And if you don't think they are dominant just check the number they graduated last year and were still able to reload. Its amazing...must be great coaching. teaching all those kids to be fast. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  10. Its Appalacian State vs. Michigan. I pulling for App. State. Beat em' up Dogs.
  11. They've got my respect. Any team that went through the seasons they've had and turn it around to be one of the final eight in the state doesn't need to prove anything else to me. Go Bulldogs!
  12. My good man. I guess that depends on what your definition of smashmouth football is.
  13. Yeah, i'd say they are in the same boat as you guys when it comes to respect. Nothing gets you more respect than going 10-0 every year and getting eliminated in the second round. Talk about living a lie. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  14. Thanks, great job by the way. Quadrant 3 is very interesting. There are a lot of if's ands or buts that will determine final pairings. I see GP defeating CPA at home, which will put CPA as a number 6 seed where they will face GP again next week. Now wouldn't that be some stuff! It also sets up a rematch of HC vs. LC in the second round. This is going to be amazing.
  15. In quadrant 3 you are assuming that Cpa defeats Goodpasture game 10. Correct? Because if they don't, a whole new scenerio takes place in that quadrant.
  16. You posted that HC was 55 out of 58. Check the strength of schedule Papawtiger, I Did. It has GP listed below HC on coach t and 32 on ken massey. I didn't say they were better than GP honey. You can't have it both ways. You implied they weren't ranked high due to strength of schedule you found on coacht. GP strength of schedule is worse than HC so you start your usual excuse making. Conclusion: AP polls and strength of scedule rankings are very subjective and mean nothing. Hope that helps you.
  17. yes preacher, and according to the numbers you saw their strength of schedule is the same as GP.
  18. They are 32nd on Ken Massey strength of schedule ranking. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> According to the coach t strength rating they are tied with goodpasture for strength of schedule and alcoa is only slightly better. They are in some pretty good company.
  19. No, they are 32nd out of whatever.
  20. Good game. It sure would be a good year to have a good team in 2A. At least in west tn.
  21. I'm picking H-town but I don't consider it to be an upset anytime we beat Camden. I'd say its time we set this powderpuff region back to the way its supposed to be. Get up Stangs!!!!
  22. Whoa, whoa, whoa....... I thought this is what some of you folks wanted, a pro style offense with the ball being THROWN in the air instead of a boring ground attack that produced state championship caliber teams. After all, one of the posters on this very board said, "we need to throw the ball with all the great qb's we've had come through here." I told you then better be careful what you wish for. I'm sure coach Beaubien is a great coach, but its kinda like taking Nebraska and trying to change them from an option run team to a pro style west coast offense attact....the results ain't pretty.
