  1. It isn't helping that Ooltewah is on, at least their third head coach since last season, The OHS coach is only 28, but is an alum. Things will get better
  2. First of all, before I had a stroke in August 2014, I was involved in the football and basketball programs at Ooltewah High School for 30 years. Two people who have replied in this thread know who I am face to face (baconbreath and RedRebels) I don't know everything about what is going on, the authorities in Sevier County knows the most of anybody. On hardships, kids can transfer from failing schools and if the school doesn't offer a particular subject, they can transfer to a school that does. Ooltewah offers German, not too many schools offer that. There maybe more things, but that is one that I do know. In regards of the case, I'm gonna let the authorities in Sevier County fill me in what is going on. Everything else out there is conjecture at this point. I'm not defending these actions, but any comments from me is just my opinion and I don't know enough to comment.
  3. I don't ever expect that game to happen as long as Jim Jarvis is Ooltewah's principal. Too many hard feelings from previous match ups.
  4. Well that is 3 schools that have stadiums that are condemned in Chattanooga/ Hamilton County, East Ridge home, Tyner's visitor side, and Howard's visitor side. Add a fourth in Sale Creek Middle/High School not even having a field. HCDE doesn't provide funding for nothing...
  5. That 4A green school on Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd.
  6. Or Friendsville, Everett, or Eagleville???
  7. Why, are they from Maryville? Or Townsend?
  8. Supposed to be neutral refs in the playoffs unless both teams use the same officials association. These two teams aren't in the same association.
  9. Thackerson scores for Clinton in the last minute, 40-21, Owls
  10. It's Exit 11, not 111, get it right PA...
  11. To paraphrase the Wu-Tang Clan, Ooltewah's defense is "Nothin' to F*** With"
  12. Well it is 41-0 midway through the 3rd quarter
  13. Funny, Rhea Co. uses the same officials association as Bradley Central and McMinn Co. (Athens), Cleveland uses Chattanooga refs. Playoff refs are from neutral association, unless the two competing schools use the same association.
  14. I am still recovering, walking is still a problem. I have to be either in the pressbox or on the sidelines. I don't think they would allow me on the sidelines with a walker.
  15. You wish I was back, nothing would make me happier than to be back in the press box, hopefully next season. All I was saying is that wingman isn't a raging hater like some people on here.
  16. Easy, Rico. Wingman usually doesn't say much, but when he does he usually isn't derogatory in any way and often says nice things about us(especially when Coach Monroe was at the Nest). He won't be confused with PA.
  17. When did we start allowing fans on the he the field after games?
  18. No changes physically to James N. Monroe stadium since Ooltewah moved up to AAA in 1985, the only changes are to the stadium and field name only.
  19. It was games like this that gave me a wierd feeling in my stomach, I can't get a feel on this game at all. The last time I remember Rhea County was an Ooltewah homecoming opponent was 1986, Andy Kelly's senior year, and it was 21-7 that night. That was during the bad old days of Ooltewah football. I miss going against Coach Horton, his teams played hard and were so classy, plus pretty darn good (state AAA finalist that year I believe) I wish I could be there, but glad it will be on TV,
  20. NCPreps guys are freaking out because their team was getting trounced, lol
  21. It's 34-0, not 35. Little Tozer hit the upright with the extra point after the 4th TD.
  22. Glory, McMinn County is in a district that includes Hamilton County schools (at least in AAA), why would they not be included? LadyMustangCoach, baconbreath would be the perfect person to talk to about this, he has seen a lot of girls basketball in his time. But you are on the right track about Hamilton County Middle schools, they only have a 6 week season and that is it. Players don't improve with just games and having a handful of practices in a season just don't cut it. The only decent girls basketball in Hamilton County is Division II (GPS and Baylor), Division i has been bad for about 20 years.
