The girls games on Thursday will still be played using the satellite format, however all 4 boys games WILL be played on Friday at Beech!! District 9-AAA petitioned the tssaa for permission to do this, and received clearance to do so because it was on a Friday with no school the following day.

Couple of things eagle- last night WC played 90% 1-2-2 zone against SC Also- Beech and coach Joines do a great job of running their 1-3-1, but to compare it to centrals is comical!! Beech plays really wide and extends its top guy to half court, while centrals top guy is at the top of key and wings play in tight. Two great coaches that show you can play the se base defense in completely different ways!!

MJ did a good job of limiting Williams points, but not sure that I would say "shut him down." He finished the game with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

I really think by the end of the season that your team will be right in the mix in your district. LA always plays in our summer camp every year and I think y'all have a chance to be as good/or better by end of the year. What was your assessment of our team?

Easily one of the top 4-5 teams that we have played, I would compare y'all to Hendersonville minus y'all don't have as athletic of guards. You play really hard and share the ball well, #42 is a nice player. Our length and pressure really caused you problems, and I thought we were a tough matchup for you defensively because of our ball skills and quickness.

Hard to say, 2 really good teams. Cookeville has the size advantage, and central has the better guards. Could be a toss up! Williams for central had 27 in the last game, so his scoring will be a factor in determining the winner.

Wilson central and cookeville have already played this year, with wc winning by 10. This game was played before their PG Roper got hurt

What can anybody tell me about their boys team this year? They are in our bracket in the upcoming tournament, and I've not been able to find out much about them.

This is a game between two good teams in middle TN, and could be one of the better games of the night. Which 20 plus win team advances tonight, and which one's season will end? I think the match-up is a toss up and could go either way.

What happened to the other guy that was the OC at Gallatin? I thought he had been with Lassiter for quite a while.

The sad part is that such a hard fought game between two good teams had to end like this!! And just like a certain individual mentioned on here earlier, the TSSAA will take a hard look at this and then punish the teams. However, the gutless officials will get off without even a slap on the wrist. It's always the coaches or kids fault, and never any fault of the officials. I'm sure they will get assigned another game tomorrow night and continue on as if nothing ever happened. At least if you are going to make such a terrible call, walk to the scorer's table and signal it!! Instead, the officials run out the door without even a conference or signal. If you are going to officiate the big games, then you also need to accept the pressure that comes along with it!

Absolute freaking joke!!! You reward Riverdale, and punish the others. The most ridiculous thing in all the brackets is a rematch of Gallatin/Hendersonville!!! THEY PLAYED LAST NIGHT!! Brentwood's reward for playing a brutal schedule is a 1st round game with Smyrna??? I dont get it

If both finish 4-6 then WC gets the tie breaker with the week 0 win!!!

Two teams struggling of late, who gets the win in this matchup?

I am an 07 graduate also, and its good to know your back from Iraq, Jeremy. The team is not exactly lighting it up, but not sure that this is the right approach either.

Easy there HSDAD!!! First, I never said that WC would win, but I did say that I think that WC would play hard and well. Second, I was not talking smack about the game but merely stating my opinion. (Just like you do on here ALL the TIME!!) I promise if MJ destroys WC, then I will be one of the first on here to congratulate them ,and you, on your astute knowledge of football!!!

I don't even know why poor little Wilson Central would drive over to the Mighty MJ bear den. According to everyone's predictions, they should probably just forfeit and save themselves the embarassment on tv. However, this is a rivalry game and don't be surprised if the bunch from WC comes and plays well!!! I think they are better than their record, and played really well against Hville last week. By the way, the same Hville team that took MJ to overtime. Just my take.
