I really tend to agree with Coacht on this one. But would like all your opinions on the basketball thread about this too!!

Has anyone heard of displaced basketball players moving to middle tennessee? On the football board, they are discussing whether a displaced player should get the starting spot over a player (senior or other) that has been there the whole time. Basketball players transferring now will have time to learn plays, and be in condition. Anyone want to discuss this? Please keep all these kids and families in your prayers!

Anyone want to comment on the Opening Ceremony added to the Nationals 16 U Div 1 tourney? Please, in the future, do it right or just leave it off. These girls work hard to get there. They deserve an opening ceremony. Too just add them to the Baseball opening ceremony was disgraceful. I like baseball. The baseball players should be disappointed too. They work just as hard and had to put up with the introduction of all the basketball players first. Players and fans were bored enough to do the WAVE through the crowd before all the teams were introduced. Anyone else?

It all depends on the reason you are going to Nationals. For instance, if you want a Tennessee team to be the WINNER, go with fewer teams. If you want more players to have the opportunity to be seen, go with more teams. Personally, I want more young ladies to have the opportunity to be seen. The best players will still be there, but the college coaches will decide who will best fit their programs.

I thought the broadcasts were well done. The only thing I would have liked if they had shown the presentation of Mr. and Miss Basketball. and the presentation to the team from Perry Co. from long ago.!

Anyone know where Robin Leslie from Giles County is now? She was a tough competitor 03-04 girls basketball. I thought she was going to Ausin Pea.

They didn't show the awards on tv. We watched 20 minutes of COPS between A and AA. About 30 minutes between AA and AAA. Wish they would have shown the awards.

I agree totally with mkhhawk. Special thanks for all you do.!! Please don't change a thing. I don't know if stats from a game helps or hurts, but it does let us fans know where players stand. As you stated they don't always turn in those to the newspaper. I like knowing the stats. If it was shown to hurt my team, I may reconsider. But either way, I enjoy your reporting, pageman.

Speed limit on the Natchez Trace is 50. Also the north end of it is very curvy. You won't be able to go 50, it's that curvy. If I was going from Nashville to Wayne Co I would go I-65 as described!

Dirtdobber, you are so right about a team needing to step up when their leading lady is sick. If you've followed their district and then regional tourney, you could see that Jana wasn't well and she must be very sick. She wasn't at Page to receive her regional tourney trophy. Hope she's well soon!

I don't know if it's the right place or not but in addition to being a good player, you must have been a nice person. Otherwise, no one would want to talk to you. All players should remember they can be decent human beings without playing college basketball. After all, the whole idea of any schooling is to be able to support yourself for the rest of your life.

Let us know what's going on at Page/Cheatham Co Game. I know Pageman is there so it will be awhile before his stats are up. Is it on the radio anywhere?

No one is saying they lost because of the referees. All basketball fans want is fair officiating on both ends of the court. If our girls play hard, and do their best, i can accept a loss. If the officials, do not do their jobs, why have them in the first place. Lets let the fans and irate parents have their own free for all when their children get fouled and end up on the floor.! In addition to that, Pageman has rarely commented on officiating. It must have been bad!

Sorry! You are right. I assumed that they did have some training, but then again maybe they had none!! Was the officiating equally bad on both ends of the court or just one side?
