  1. I guess the real Milan fans(not husker and who is johnnyG?) should go start our own thread in which to discuss real football. tcaee you've been hatin all year. Get out of em. Milan may not win but there is no way you can say that there is no chance we win.
  2. I saw him 2 years ago when he was a soph and he is a player. No one has done much against Alcoa. And if you haven't seen him against a "good" defense then by your rationale as you cannot judge him as being a great back you cannot say that he is not as good as advertised. Also while we had a chance to win in 06 I think they were the better team. But this year's team is considerably better than that IMO. How does this years GP team stack up against the 06 team?
  3. Looking forward to see Cunningham vs. our D-front particularly Williamson.
  4. GP fans pay husker no mind this week please. Cunningham is the best back in 2A and will win Mr. Football.
  5. What did Cunninghams stat line look like tonight? What did GPs QB stats look like as well? What did Cunninghams stat line look like tonight? What did GPs QB stats look like as well?
  6. Having seen Cunningham he is a beast. Gotta stop the darned Wing-T and block them up front.
  7. Holden and Morris drew up a great defensive game plan in this one. Starting D only gave up 1 TD and that was after a muffed punt at the 30 yard line. Man coverage and blitz packages on every play looked really good. Running game really looked strong tonight. I've always felt that the best way to succeed in November is with a physical team that likes to hit and pound the ball. Those passing plays get harder to execute when it's 20 degrees. Morris was probably trying to get up by 35 to get that clock rolling. Enjoyed watching us play JCS and had some good conversation on here but I'm elated I won't have to see D-lines cutting knees anymore. Also heard from fans that were there real early there was a little stomping exercise on the M??? Good luck next year in D2. Time for GP.
  8. Gonna be a cold one. Shades of Huntingdon 03, well I hope not.
  9. My bad. Coker would have to come down off that high before he could take 3 consecutive steps.
  10. Holder did not run for 503 against Milan that was in round 1 against USJ.
  11. It's that time again. Would hate to see this team go out like this.
  12. Trenton also outgained us in the regular season last year but we won. Another similiarity to this year.
  13. We've been somewhat of a jekyl and hyde team this year and in the playoffs the last several years. The seniors and captains need to get the rest of the team focused and on track this week or this year will end like the last 8. I, like BPF think Morris might open up the playbook. Tristian and JW didn't play offense last time which really limited our play calling. Since that game JW has gotten more touches. With the way JCS stacked the box last time I think Morris and Jackson will get a little creative with their playcalling and get it out to the speed guys. I'm also curious what kind of game play Morris and Holden will draw up for the defensive backfield. Too much speed and talent back there to give up the yards we did the first time around.
  14. If milan wants to win they better play better than they did tonight.
  15. Wow, so much to say about this one. Gotta win an ugly one sometimes. Congratultions to Westview they about did what was thought to be the unthinkable. Both D-lines really domintated each others O-line. Was really dissapointed with the performance of our O-line. It's gonna be good to see big 69 back out there at tackle next week. Both teams had to deal with the weather but it really affected Milan. When we haven't been able to block people we've been successful slinging the ball around, not tonight. Also lost the TO battle 4-0. WVs two TDs came after TOs deep in Milan's territory. The two chinks in Milan's armor right now...O-line and D backs. I was having nightmarish flashbacks from WV and Trenton last year after Moody knocked down the kick. Next play QB is sacked twice or not and a hail mary 20 yards behind our D. I don't know what's going on there but it needs to be fixed. Postoak played a great game tonight. The 12 tackles and I had him with 3 sacks if the punter counts. Had a couple of great punts esp the one that rolled dead at the 2. Also a big time hold on the winning FG. Huge kick by Moody and game saver by Vandiver. Hope to see a few more fans next week.
  16. Youngblood from Carver that year was one of the best I've ever seen. What's with all the silence from the westview fans?
  17. Neverimnd JohnnyG he's not making any sense.
  18. Well after the great year(not over yet) that he and his team have had he and his oline may take it personally as a snub and use it as motivation and go get something to show for it. I don't think anything about that is selfish. And everything I've seen this season and heard from players would indicate that he is a quiet leader and has a great work ethic. I noticed after he scored the TD last week, he got up congratulated his Oline then sprinted off the field. Nothing in my post was intended or appereared as if I was disrespecting one of the other student athletes. Having said this I wouldn't trade Mr. Gilbert for anyone.
  19. I disagree about stats but if you are looking at the stats then you will notice his carries have gone down considerably. He has had turf toe and we have enjoyed a large lead early in every game since JCS. No need to get him injured if were up by 28 in the second quarter. I don't think he has given any less effort or been less effective. Luke Jackson and/or Casey Barnes, the starting tackles and two best linemen on a thin line have missed every game since USJ. Also teams are really stackin the box but we've got a darn good QB and set of receivers.
  20. I wonder how Gilbert will handle somewhat of a Mr. football snub. He might be a man on a mission from here on out.
  21. Havning seen Cunningham play 2 years ago he is the real deal. Lewis had better not lose contain on him too many times because he will not be caught.
  22. Mustang fans showing a little life!
  23. Congrats to Camden on a great season. Hope we can keep ya'll on the schedule for next year the last 2 years have been gun games to watch. I agree if we make it out of the quadrant we will have trouble with GP, LC, or CPA. Unless you're Alcoa semi final games aren't supposed to be easy. As for the statement, fans who were at those two games can see the error in that statement.
  24. JCS will be a tougher matchup for Huntingdon than was USJ. JCS is much better in defensing the run and a little more diverse on offense. Apparently Huntingdon got in the USJ receivers faces and got physical. I assume this would work again this week but JCS has now seen this on film what will they do to prepare and adjust? As for Huntingdon it's the same thing it has been since the beginning of time. Line up and hit the man in front of you in the mouth. As B2 said it has traditionally been the WingT with Swenson calling the plays. I don't think Holder is as good as Boo Weathers or T Bell was but if he gets behind you no one is going to catch him. If JCS intends to stack the box as USJ did they're gonna need good play out of their safety. Good luck to both teams I hope we get to host one of you next week.
  25. I guess I should expect another lop-sided score?
