They will go 7-2 in the 2003 season. They will end the season 2nd in region 2-A with Greenback in first. The Warriors continued to improve as last season progressed. This is their second year under Coach Young formerly of Bearden, and will have over 10 seniors. These seniors are also the first class to go through 4 years in the CAK Highschool Football Program. The Warriors will be a tough competitor to everyone including Greenback.

What exactly did you hope to receive credit for? Beating Copper Basin 25-20 as your only win of the 2002 season? Or perhaps loosing to everyone else including teams like Oakdale who ended the season at 2-8. ? I agree with mynameis, Credit is given when credit is earned.

5-5, finish 4th in the region, and loose in the first round of the playoffs.

I agree with you, CoachLogan. John Douglass of CAK is among the best athletes and runningbacks I have ever seen play 1-A ball.

I could not possibly disagree more coachlogan. If I recall, Oneida gave Greenback all they wanted last year in the playoffs, and did not sustain many key losses for the upcomming season. I believe CAK matured alot over the course of last season, and Coalfield always has a good team. While I'm not taking anything away from Greenback, and I acknowlege that they are the powerhouse of Region 2-A, I believe CAK, Coalfield, or Oneida could easily come out as the region champs.

Greenback's Trae Helton rushed for 222 yds and 6 TDs last season. He also caught 23 passes for 327 yds. He had 71 tackles, 2 TFL, 5 sacks, and he even threw a touchdown pass. He's an all around athlete and is as good as anyone else in 1-A ball.

Its going to be interesting to watch, Greenback, Coalfield, Midway, and CAK are going to battle this thing out. I can't really make a prediction because this is going to be a tight race for region championship.
